In terms of 'most valued symbolic objects' I decided the magatama is ~= to that awful bottle 'Dollie'/Iris gave Phoenix (well Iris didn't really, but you know what I mean). Because they're both symbolic of the partners' mutual trust, except the one from Maya's side is genuine (and just 'happens' to defend Phoenix from the types of lies Iris liked to conceal. Oooh.) Does this make sense? I'll write my reasoning tomorrow...

Although it really doesn't matter that much. Plus, this one wasn't really that much of "taking care of Nick" as it was "making out with Nick." Not that I find a problem with the latter. Plus Maya looking after Nick always means cute and funny P/M goodness.
