Once again a really interesting teaser/demo. One thing I noticed really fast was that you had created a FRONT background for the Detention Center. And I also noticed that the text window now was transparent (but maybe it was that before too, don't remember ^^; ).
But I still wonder. Will psycho-locks be avaiable in the release?

Hmmm, the case maker seems to hate gifs made in ImageReady aswell. I get the same effect from using Jasc Animation Studio.

Any tips on creating useable aniamtions in ImageReady?

Have you tried not optimising them? Most gif animations have an option to optimise gifs... which can cause problems off the web and such.

Ah, sorry. Oops

I've never used Imageready or Animation Studio. I used to use Animation Shop... if it's similar then when you save you should get an optimisation wizard. Set it to the biggest filesize option.

But otherwise I don't know. Sorry. Sadshoe

Both me and Mechabowser use GraphicsGale. Cause it wins. It's a little confusing at first but once you get going it'll be fine. And I am proof positive it works :) p.s it costs but there are those whom have methods to get such programs.

It would help if I gained help for the program I already paid for.

EDIT: Animation Studio and Shop are the same program, I just said a different name. Sadly I don't own that program anymore.

If I need to make an animation, I use Jasc Animation Shop (and Jasc Paint Shop pro for everything else non-animated). Still something that probably costs, but it works, nontheless. Phoenix

OH YEA. How will we be able to handle who is inside, and outside the Detention Center? By using sprpriority values? Or by cutting character bodies in half, or displaying another image of the Detention Center on top, but with a transparency setting in the box?

BTW, would it be possible to get a brief demo.exe of the "Testimoney' section? Eh?

And MechaBowser is sure we can't have an intro scene maker into the case maker engine, just for one case? It's not going to be a big dissapointment for me, I was just wondering, for the time being. Detective Gumshoe
But I suppose we could always make 'fake' intros until a real one gets made for the case maker engine. Phoenix
Again, it's probably nothing of high priority, I'm just asking. I'm sure there are other major things to do that are on the high priority list. Detective Gumshoe

Again, I do not have that anymore. Anyone have any idea how to disable optimisation in Imageready.

You can already make intros, just mess around with the Sceneries.
If somebody could give me all the intro sprites from The First Turnabout as .gifs, I'd gladly make an example.

Alright, but would it be like, the scenery being shown on top, while a black blank space with the episode name shown on the bottom screen right? Detective Gumshoe

And sure. I wouldn't mind seeing an example of an intro. Phoenix

Hey DDRKhat, what's the status on the loopable music?

And anyone have images of the judge slamming his gavel? The one on http://deufeufeu.free.fr/anims/animpw1.html has a strange distortion of pixels in the middle of the gavel.

You mean this? (I ripped it myself)

And I have no clue as to why the Judge's hand is still not updated to the DS one.

I would love to see some loop music. Especial the music from the second game :)

Btw Mecha, I noticed a bug with yor testimony demo. During the intro animation to the Testimony I was able to click the Court Records button. And by doing so I stoped the sound effects by the flying text becuase the click sound for the court Record is probably on the same channel Maya Fey
Change so you can't click on it during the animation intro and I'll stop talk about it.

When you say loopable music, do you mean the point where a song has a starting/beginning point, and then has a loop point where it loops from the middle instead of looping back at the beginning? I think only certain music file tpyes (Like .ADX, for example) can do this, IINM.

BTW, I managed to record the intro of the first turnabout (with the bottom screen), but the avi itself is like 17 or 18 MB. I probably could decrease the file size by converting it to wmv, but it would probably distort the video's screen size. But I suppose there's always the option to record the top screen only. Sal

What Ihave been doing is cutting the songs so they loop seemlessly. In the current case-maker provided if you go into the first turnabout you will see an example of what I am aiming to do.
I apologize I am taking ages, lots of things keep popping up so its a project I do when I get time, soon as it's complete I will be passing it all to Mecha for him to release with this. I have only so far done a few songs from PW1

I use SnagIt 5, although it's not the recent version available, it's the only one that I had a registry for. I'm pretty sure you can record at 60 FPS, and record any window size/region or whatever with it. Sal

BTW, it's a bit etchy (maybe with static music and some slowness), but here's the PW first turnabout intro I recorded.

(Only top screen recorded. Bottom screen was just black with the episode name. This one should be easy to code.)

Camtasia Studios works aswell, but I think the FPS is lower than N-Mario's suggestion.

½ will always be a linebreak. This way tutorials and the like still work as they are created with that character for linespace. However you can now (after reminding him) also set your own character as a newline seperator. Mine is "`"

I've been thinking. We can use normal speed text and fast speed text. But I noticed in some demos that the speed of the text typing sound does not change. Does this have anything to do with how long the sound is/lasts? I thought maybe there would be some sound-text speed synching or something. So like if text typing was slow, the sound would be slow. And if the text typing speed was fast, the sound would also be fast. Speed wise only, but no pitch changing. Detective Gumshoe

Sorry, but you should have multiple talking sounds if you want that effect (which is what they did in the original PW anyways).

mmm, nope. It has only two talking files - male beep, and female beep. It played the beep per character typed.
