Ooh, I like this one too. It's so canon... they shared a hotel room together (albeit for reasons other than nookie, but you know they probably got some while they were there anyway).

When I started playing my favorite couple was /:youngmia:. Then she died and that crushed any potenial for a romantic relationship with Pheonix. There would be too many complications with her being a spirit; the obvious one being her needing to be channeled by Maya or Pearl. ( I would laugh though, if Phoenix decided to date both Maya and Mia for the sheer absurdity of it all! /:mia-maya: )

Basically, it's hard to imagine either with them in a solid intimate relationship with most of the cast, because they're both very spazzy and sometimes immature, and that would probably get on more serious character's nerves--but if you put them TOGETHER, then they're free to be spazzy and immature and fun. They're also both just kind, emotional, loyal friends all around and they have a lot in common. Their few interactions in 1-4 were cute as well, and there's an adorable piece of official art of the two of them.

I've long been debating posting these... I ship literally hundreds of pairings within this fandom, I believe, so I'll only post the ones I feel I really need to mention. (Most of these are probably going to get me flamed to death, but I heart fire so much that... Alas! *thrusts arms out* DESECRATE ME! COMMEMORATE ME! Have at me, then!)

I'll start off with some... safer shippings. More commonly accepted, I mean.

x ~ So much cuteness. SO. MUCH. Before I knew anything about PW or TST, I read their profiles and immediately set myself on a crash course of canonshipping. I'LL DEFEND IT TO MY LAST BREATH, EVEN IF ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS "lawl it r canon k?"! Just... awww. <33

x ~ Not canon, but it has a fairly large fanbase. This one came to me when I first saw that adorable Ramen Heart pic of them. Really, it's said pretty much everywhere on CR: "These two are so spastic and immature that they can't really be put in a serious relationship with anyone, but when you put them together they are free to be as spastic and immature as they like!"

x ~ ...Aaaand immediately I disregard that and stick the Butz in with someone else! Not sure why, but I just love the thought of it. I've seen a lot of really cute art for it, too. XD Friska always looks so awkward and freaked out, and then starts beating him senseless. But knowing Larry, he probably thinks it's hot. >_>

XD; Okay, Max is one of the only characters who actually considers Ben and Trilo to be the same person; he talks about his rivalry with Ben and his hatred of Ben, when most other characters barely recognize him in favor of Trilo. Also, Ben incites one of the only in-court outbursts from an offscreen defendant in the entire series (unless that's frequent in T&T, which it might be)-- from Max. "I'll saw is woodblock in half. And not with magic!" could totally be taken out of context, too.

x ~ Sure, it's crack, but my sis and I wrote a fic one time involving the two of the acting as a terrible twosome, and the dialogue practically wrote itself! Heartland honey and country bumpkin for the win, y'all. (Other than Max/Ben, I mean.) Really, it was hilarious. Stuck the pairing in my head forever, too. It's (sadly) one of the only ways I can see the Fabulous Flying Trannie as truly being straight, too. Even if he did try to marry Regina, I swear the girl's a desperate cover. But not in this case!

x ~ Another pairing that's totally set up with lots of shippingbait, but is never mentioned! I know why, of course, but that doesn't stop me from thinking it's hilarious. Bond of trust, Master Engarde. Bond of trust. *clings*

x ~ Eh, it was cute in-game. Even if April is a little whore, the way the Bellboy acted about her was too adorable to ignore. So I hereby give it an honorable mention.

x ~ Again, I disregard my earlier statement on maturity! Not so much a heavy shipper (not enough cute artwork), but I read this fic one time, you see, and it was so much crack that I couldn't forget the pairing. ("PHOENIX WRIGHT PAIRINGS MADNESS!" on FF.net, if anyone wants to read it. Edgeworth, the STRAIGHT prosecutor. Goes to STRAIGHTLY combat ninjas, drive off bridges WHILE BEING STRAIGHT and have a night of STRAIGHT love with Maya WHO IS A GIRL THEREFORE HE IS STRAIGHT. Ends in the best way possible, too.)

x ~ This is the only in-game option I willingly chose wrong. Instantaneously, just "YOU ARE HIS LOVER!" even if it was blatantly obvious that there was blackmail. I voted this option on two polls. *holds up two fingers*

x ~ Read a fic. Epic win. If not Maggey, then this in the end.

x ~ I believe this is what one calls the... OTP, yes? >______>; FORGIVE ME! For I know not what I do! Ah, I kid. I love this pairing to insane ends, though! And yes, I AM THE FIRST TO COIN THIS SHIPPING. NOTE ME. I AM THE FIRST. The basis? Well, it all began when I was desperately looking for someone to ship poor Luke with. Being my favorite character, it was hard for me to just stand idly by and not ship him with anyone. Anyway, so, one night I was messing around on Love Virus/Kaguren Plus and I stumbled into the oekaki section. There I spent a good long time violently raiding the archives to add to my collection, but I noticed that one particularly amused me: It was a little scribbly image of GS3 Andy holding up two pieces of the Kurain urn and crying, and off to the side was Luke holding out a bottle of toothpaste glue to her. I saved it because you could only see his nose and arm, but alas; my sister (who genesizes so many of these in my head!) was sitting next to me talking about it, when all of a sudden she exclaimed, "Hey, they're in the same case! We could support them!" To which I did a violent doubletake, naturally. But it just sort of rooted itself in my head, and now I can't help but ooze love for it. Adrian is codependent and needs a strong, reliable person to cling to and love; Atmey puts on a show of having everything together and being very reliable and strong, and all he wants is love. The potential there alone is astounding.
