Well, it's stereotypes in general that really bug me. I could rant about it for a long time. (^^;;

It's cool, I don't like stereotypes either.

Why do I have to start an argument with mah post D:. I'm not saying anything negative, I'm just trying to comment on why I think people perceive him to be British. I'm just trying to make an observation.

@CatMuto Obviously people don't walk around wearing cravats and such, but that style of dress tends to remind me of revolutionary days in England and in the colonies, back when the US didn't exist and all that.

@Blak Well, Americans are white, British people are also white. If you see a white person wearing stereotypical American clothes, your first thought is that they are american.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone D:

Why don't people just go for the obvious answer: He's Japanese.

Obviously, cause we're fans.
What sort of fanbase can agree on something without making a huge stink about it first~? :redd:

Because that part doesn't make sense.
If we were still during those revolutionary colony days, it'd be normal to see british and other people wearing clothes similar to Edgey's. But we're not in those times, so even if Edgey were to walk around in Britain in his clothes, he'd look very out of place. (Technically he'd look out of place everywhere except a gay bar, but whatever)

All my point was that even though it would be super out of place now, it is still associated with Britain. Get what I mean? That's what I meant by what I said.

Because that would be too easy. You know we have to take the hard way for things.

Oh, I believe that Maya and, to an extent, Franzy would agree with you.

But Edgey would probably object. You know it's in his nature.

Not... really.
Those clothes do not remind me of britain at all. At the most, Edgey's clothes and von Karma's remind me of old German clothes worn by royalty. Not britain.

He isn't British (unfortunately :sadshoe: ), but he fits the stereotypical British criteria:

.He has a fancy office.
.He wears a fancy suit and cravat (And carries a spare around in case that one gets dirty :edgeworth: ).
.He drinks tea all the time and it's probably his favourite drink (Although it may well be Samurai Soda from AJ :edgy: ).
.He has a MASSIVE vocabulary and uses professional-sounding words such as 'asinine'.
.He seems to have a lot of money and taste (Well, he's said to live in a mansion and he drives a sports car).
.He loves logical things such as chess and hardly participates in much sport.
.He loves to show off his skills and is quite proud of them.
.He's usually serious, but that isn't really stereotypically British. It's just Edgey being....Edgey. Like this :edgeworth: .

Just my opinion! :phoenix:

Indeed... though also by nobles, rather than exclusive to royalty.

Come on, people, why have I yet to see fanart of King Edgeworth II? I figured it would be a natural combination!

...and Larry is obviously the jester. Phoenix can be a peasant.

Nobles... royalty.... practically the same thing for me. Although I know they aren't.
As for why no picture.... *shrug* I would draw it myself, but I don't do well with reference pictures of real people and/or details of dozens of vest attachments.
