Gummy's not an idiot!In any case, Edgey as Chief Prosecutor would win. Salutation's right; if Edgey gets promoted then so does Gumshoe (given Edgey's new power he would probably guarantee it). Now if this isn't the situation in GS5 I'll cry my heart out.
A little bit off topic, but what happened in the prosecutor's office after 1-5? Lana and Gant were both arrested, leaving both of their positions open. I have my suspicions that Edgeworth probably would have been promoted then, but he went on to be a total drama king and pretend to commit suicide instead.

You know, I don't think I'll ever get over the fact that Kyouya is know Klavier. For a native German speaker like me, it just sounds so weird! D: It's like calling a person Table or Desk or something. Just plain weird. I don't know, the word "Klavier" is pronounced kluhweer - maybe Capcom pronounced it so it would sound like a proper name? Start reading some Terry Pratchett, and you'll get used to it. Twoflower, Carrot, Moist, Colon, Shoe...
And I don't think anyone really knows how to pronounce Klavier. I pronounce it as if it were French (klahv-ee-yay).

3-5 is definitely on of my top cases, mostly for Edgey. I really liked how he dealt with Iris; it shows you a lot about him.
As for the evil glare, I sort of squee when I imagine it, but when you think about a lot of characters have evil glares. Phoenix and Apollo (and possibly Mia? I don't remember) get chastised by the judge for glaring, and the von Karmas obviously both glare evilly. If you look through the sprites probably about 90% of them have a glaring sprite.
That said, I imagine Edgey's glare to be more intense (the one glare... to RULE THEM ALL! /shot). Y'know, one of those scary, time-stopping, stomach-churning glares.

And if he hates emos - most importantly, that means he would hate himself, which is like a really emo thing to do.
At least before he changed during his time out of the country, there are many things that could prove his emo-ness. I can think up 10 reasons.
1) In his shocked desk pose, it looks like he's wearing black eyeliner, haha.
2) He seems very antisocial. He has this super serious composure that's depressing. It takes a lot for him to act 'somewhat normal.'
3) He has a very cold personality, and I think he's cynical at times. It hides him.
4) He drinks tea all by his lonesome, as mentioned above.
5) He carries a knife in his trunk. Under those long sleeves, who knows how many fresh cuts and scars he has?
6) He's very distant. He refuses Phoenix's help at first in 1-4, and though he knows deep inside that Nick and Larry care for him, Edgey at the time can't look at those two as 'friends' and totally loose his composure with them.
7) Edgey gets depressed over the same thing thats been eating away all these years. He keeps tearing himself up inside over things. He thinks everything is his fault and its like all he ever thinks about.
8) He barely smiles, and when he does, though it's cute, it's forced. The next moment, he'll be frowning again.
9) He seems way too mature for his age. In the young edgey that we see in 3-4, at least. He defiantely knows a ton about life itself.
10) He can see through other's dark secrets because he posesses those flaws as well to some degree and he's learned from it.
When he moved out of the country, and then came back in 3-5, Edgey was numb to his dark past, which turned him into who he was. He could finally at least pretend to care about anyone other himself, at least a little and that he was happy his friends were okay.
He also left a 'fake' suicide note forcing everyone to think that he was dead. Except Feenie, because he knew the truth.

Lol, we all have our opinions, and I stand by mine. He is definately emotional, though but that goes without saying. If he was the slightest bit different before his character really started developing, I don't think that my feelings for and about him would be so strong.

I'm pretty sure Phoenix thought he was dead too. Only Gumshoe and Franny knew he was alive. Gumshoe knew because Edgeworth has been talking with him in secret, and Franny knew because she knows he's not stupid enough to kill himself. I think she was even the one who said to Phoenix that she knew for sure he wasn't dead.
I also don't agree that just because people don't smile or display the general appearances of what people would consider to show happiness necessarily means they're NOT happy. I, for one, am known for not smiling a lot. It doesn't mean I'm emo, or discontent with my life. My mouth.. is just uncomfortable using those muscles unless I really mean to smile. Tons of people can smile and really not mean it, good for them, but I'm not one of them. I think Edgeworth is like that too sometimes. He's just not presented in the way society would deem as the "sociable" type, it's not really his fault. He does do his best, and cares about people in his own way. I say that's what makes him unique, loveable, and identifiable.

Haha I second that! I was like that in school never showed ANY emotion, outwardly. On the inside I could have been LMAO, or purely extactic. I think after a while I kept it up just for the entertainment of everyone else's reactions. " OMG!! Arent you happy!? That's so sad"
Edgeworth is just a stoic type of person, though obviously not THE happiest person on either. Really nothing wrong with that.

I see emo's as very "Poor me, poor me" without actually having much in the way or real issues (I speak of course as to the "New" meaning of the word) Edgey has some real baggage and comes from a hard home to come from. So all in all, he's lucky that he's as nice as he is.
