And let's not forget the game is continually cycling back the minimum age thing.

I do agree on this point. Phoenix Wright was 24 in the first game, and Apollo Justice is 22. While it's only 2 years difference, you can't help but feel they're trying to push the line a little further back to "relating to the young demographic." Klavier is also 24, but definitely acts younger than his age, especially if you look at Edgeworth who arguably acts older than his age lol.

But if you also look at the assistants, Maya started out as 17, and Trucy is now 15. It's almost like Capcom thinking "Hmm.. I wonder how far we can push this age thing before it becomes unbelievable?" I am pretty old myself, so I do enjoy the characters at a more realistic age, and by realistic I mean "don't have to be a prodigy to graduate from law school."

I do kind of wish, though, that we could have seen the improved art or graphics or whatever you want to call them in Phoenix's series.

Keep in mind though, that the PW series were all originally on the GBA, so it probably couldn't handles those kinds of graphics. Apollo Justice is the first game intended to go on the DS, so of course everything looks better. It was kind of interesting however that:

Spoiler: 4-4
They used the old GBA graphics for Phoenix's fateful case, like the courtroom, etc. Unfortunately, because of that, it did make the new sprites like Klavier and Zak stand out quite a bit.

I wouldn't be surprised though if they remade them later on down the road, maybe even fit all 3 games onto one DS cartridge? That would be sweet. :edgy:

Btw, I liked jaded!Phoenix. At first I had the zomg Phoenix what happened to you!?! reaction, but when I thought about it, it makes sense. When shit hits the fan, you can't always stay your chipper self, and it also adds depth to a character who previously didn't have all that much to be jaded about. Seeing Phoenix like this reminds me he's gone through hardships, but his determination to improve the judicial system also shows the true strength he has, and not just pointing accusing fingers and "believing in his client" all the time.
