I should really start checking more topics for Hypnogant-ness.

Anyway, i'll have to make "Everybody Loves Hypnogant". It's pretty much obligatory at this point.

While I haven't seen Code Geass, I do know what it is and I get the joke. Isn't that almost the same thing as HypnoGant? Except Geass Gant can only use it once per person? lol It's like a poor man's HypnoGant! And they don't come poorer than me!

As I stated earlier, not all episodes have to focus on a case. The game does, since that's where the gameplay is. But in an anime, you could have an episode on non-case side-story things, much like the manga.
Some examples:
An episode where Phoenix tries desperately to get Maya the right birthday present.
An episode where Phoenix and Larry set Edgeworth up on a blind date.
An episode where Gumshoe looks for a second job.
An episode detailing some of Larry's attempts to get a date with Franziska.
An episode where some of the comic relief villains (Frank Sahwit, Richard Wellington) try to outsmart Mike Meekins and break out of jail. This could possibly culminate in the escape of a serious villain, such as Redd White, Manfred von Karma, or Damon Gant, and then you could have some sort of revenge story arc.

There are any number of possibilities like that. :godot:

Well, duh. :edgy:
I'm not asking Capcom to stop making the games. But, while some original cases would be nice, between the essential in-game cases, character-building, anecdotal side-stories, and and all-around tomfoolery (fun word :butzthumbs: ), there would be enough material for a good 3 or 4 seasons. Not to mention that few animes last beyond one season. :grey:

I'm hoping the success of the Valkyria Chronicles one will start a new surge of game based anime. They already even have a manga to adapt it from and everything, so it seems like a no brainer.

Ironic that this topic came up just as I was imagining a Phoenix Wright anime, isn't it? It would be so cool, and so many people would watch it! So why not?
But you know what would be REALLY cool? A Phoenix Wright multiplayer mode! Not sure how it would work, but leave that to the experts! XD

I believe that falls under the umbrella of coincidence.

Anyway, an anime would be cool as many have pointed out already. I know many people were upset when it was revealed that the new Ace Attorney Not Game was an opera. An Ace Attorney show might work better as an OAV or OVA if were strictly an adaptation of cases or about new cases.

lol. You're the one that made the "Infatuated" thread. :gant:

Anyway, Multiplayer Mode? That's really weird. :yuusaku:

You could set it up where one plays the defense and one plays the prosecution? How that would work IDK. And it would probably leave the game too open to cheating (if multiplayer was in Story Mode, as it should :lana: ).

Hmmm....well, regardless, that's an interesting proposition. You should make a new thread to discuss it. :javado:

Sorry for throwing this out there, but I have to do this.

So IF there's a PW anime, after each person is convicted it'd have a minute or two of the murderer being thrown in jail. Now imagine if the cells held two people?

Luke: *Gets tossed in jail* I deserve better than this!
Guard: Shaddap. Just because you used to be an ace detective, doesn't mean you get better treatment.
Luke: RRRRRRGH!!!
???: Hey there, Lukey mah boi.
Luke: BAH! Wh-who're you?!
Gant: Daemon Gant. By the way, have you gone...swimming lately? HAHAHAHA!!!
Luke: Let me out of here! I DON'T WANT TO SWIM WITH THIS GUY!!!

...duuuurrrrrrrp. This'd be like, at the end of the Stolen Turnabout saga I guess.

Epic Lawl. :gant-clap2: :agia-shock:
That would be awesome! And my previous idea of a jailbreak leading into an anime-exclusive revenge story arc could stem out of an encounter like that.

:enguard!: :Damn that Phoenix Wright! I should have known hiring that idealistic tool was a bad idea. What I wouldn't give to have my hands around his throat!

I am glad this topic has so much momentum now. :)

I think it is only a matter of time until a PW anime gets produced. It just seems that we all need to send emails to the proper department at Capcom or something...Arghh it is just too logical for the anime not to be produced X_X

would be a dark day if pw was tooken by 4kids...if that happens...were either doomed...or need an army to stop the dubbing from happening >.>;;;

now then...I think It could be done well even doing the cases from each game

its just much more content would be needed as has been stated which is very easy to do...so the only three things id actually be worried about is...

1.voice acting
2.can the keep it interesting and fresh
3.whos doing the art for the anime (many seem to forget forget this one...or just dont mention it...) but i think this also plays a roll so im mentioning it :P

Obviously, voice acting would be important.
I wouldn't worry about 4Kids fucking up PW, though. As goofy as it can get, it does deal (almost :Maskdemaske: ) exclusively in murder cases.
Not very kid-friendly.

"Keeping it fresh". I've already been over (several times :yuusaku: ) how to do this.

And........I dunno.......I guess I just assumed the guy that did the art for the game would do it..... :sadshoe:

Ah, something I may(<---keyword) be able to shed light upon.

The only thing that really matters in animation design is the character designer. Sure, animation quality, but even if the studio that did, say, Dragon Ball, got a hold of PW, it wouldn't matter much. The character designer/art director would have last say on what everything looked like - down to Charlie himself. Which means it wouldn't be a whole lot of work, seeing as everything's already designed rather well >_> Or they could just hire the same guy or something.

Animators are trained in the art of style forgeries :draw:

well i wouldnt worry about 4kids at first either (because I prefer subs when it comes to most anime) but its still important which is why it was there

I know you mentioned about the many ways to do this...which is why i said
"as many have stated" but its not what they can do its a matter of what they will do :P

finally no...I highly doubt that guy would do the art as well...most companys wanting an anime give the rights to another company so it can be made by professionals to make a anime (since that companys got other things to do themselves)...which is why often story changes in the transition...because when an anime is given that company is paid for how many episodes they work on so they have to plot everything out based on the amount of episodes planned for the series as such...many thing are either cut or changed to fit the given episodes...now if an anime is popular a company may extend it allowing for more content and such...but anyways im starting to rant on about it...so yes...very important...so i really shouldnt just mention whos doing artwork...but which company is getting rights to it >.>;;;

A multiplayer mode? I guess it is almost that what we have at the roleplay section. Trials played by multiple players guided by a game lord. You see, THAT is an Ace Attorney multiplayer! Yay! :will:
