Well they THOUGHT he was dead since they gave him this HUGE lethal injection but he was just passed out. The spirit of Mia protected him from death, but years later he DOES die of old age. But he does get out, and is under police survalence 24/7. Small price to pay. He stopped being a prosecutor (duh) and now spends most of his time in his retreat in the alps. ...Good backstory, huh? Also he could get out because of this crazy law system in PW. No jurys, no evidence forging charges, unfair trials... so why not let murderers out but keep them under close watch?

I didn't really feel bad for any of them. I did feel sort of bad for Godot; although, he really had no reason to kill Elise. He could've just hidden the damn note and prevented the whole thing.

BTW, do we really need to post in spoilers? It's pretty obvious that this thread has spoilers just from the title.

Spoiler: AA and JFA
Frank Sahwit: He was a stupid idiot, I didn't feel sorry, but laughed at him :edgy:

Redd White: He is an asshole, I proved about 100 times that he is guilty but the stupid judge didn't plead him guilty because Redd blackmailed him (I suppose). I was glad that he was found guilty after all.

Dee Vasquez: Now I felt really sorry for her. She didn't mean to kill anyone, plus the reminiscence...

Manfred von Karma: After what he has done to Edgey and Nick, no.

Damon Gant: I hated him since the first moment he showed up. I was very glad that he was found guilty.

Richard Wellington: Another stupid idiot. I hate 2-1 to be honest (i love all else, but 2-1 sucked hard) so I didn't care about this case.

Mimi Miney: Maybe a little. For the first thought. But then, after thinking about the fact that she wanted to frame Maya and killed Grey for no real reason (not to mention the malpractice 2 years ago), like, no.

Acro: Now I felt sorry for him. He didn't mean to kill the ringmaster, but Regina, who deserves some kind of punishment for what she done to Acro and Bat. She is not innocent at all.

Matt Engarde: He got what he deserved. Enough said.

People that I felt sorry for:

Spoiler: The People, DUH!
:april: - She was being forced to do stuff by a fucking MADMAN!
:snap: - She did what she did in self-defense. She just hit the guy once. So happens he fell on a bed of spikes :P
:yogi: - He lost everything he had.
:karma: - He was in a painful daze. He wasn't in the right state of mind when he did it.
:ditz: - She was under a lot of stress, so 14 people died, putting her UNDER MORE STRESS, causing a crash, killing her sister!!
:acro: - He has a mental illness.
:zenitora: His life was on the line. Damn mafia. YES I KNOW IT WASN'T THE MAFIA.
:godot: - He was just defending Maya.

People I didn't feel sorry for:

Spoiler: The same normal stuff.
:sawit: - Sahwit was a FREAK, whose motives were selfish.
:redd: - White caused more deaths than anybody else in the game, including Darke. His motives were for silencing the opposition.
:gant: - NAZI
:beef: - Again, a selfish bastard.
:enguard!: - He's my favorite villian, because he's a mass of evil!
:chinami: - An underground mass-murderer who uses horny teenagers as puppets in her little game.
:inspect: - Blackmail, theft, and murder. Nice guy. PUTZ!
:garyuu: - He took Phoenix's job and did awful, awful things. I mean, Phoenix without a badge is like a fag for a main character! O WAIT...
:minas: - Self absorbed shit head who also uses horny teenagers as puppets.
:pencileraser: - He jerks off in court, and smuggles stuff.

Phoenix is totally Jewish.

I know I'm just another member of the minority here, but I did kind of feel sad about poor little ol' Matt having to go to jail...I guess it's 'cause deep down I have a love of him. ...Then there was also Adrian...Her. I felt ten times sorrier for her than for Matt...I mean...look at all the crap she had to put up with...

Honestly, in my opinion, the point of that "sketch" at the end was less that he got executed and more that he died shortly after the trial due to HAVING HIS FACE BLOWN OFF. :udgy:

The sad thing about what happened to Acro is that a lion disabled him/left his brother Bat in a coma that he will never wake up from.

The real sad part was a little pepper was the thing that messed up Acro's life and almost ended Bats life. :acro:

Spoiler: Characters from AA and JFA I felt sorry for
- :lana:
- :grey: He was just trying to get his life back. There's no proof he drugged Mimi. ...Unless he intended to shoot Maya...
- :adrian: She was just setting up Engarde, who was responsible for the murder anyway.
- :acro: His brother was killed by a teenage brat. And he ended up killing the one person left for him in the world.
- :grossburg: He had to choose between Maya and his own life. Can you blame him?
- :ditz: She made a big mistake and was so distraught that she killed her sister. Instead of resorting to suicide, she started a new life...But why did she have to frame Maya? The real criminal is Morgan.
- :lunches: She lost her job thanks to Gant. And she didn't even do anything.
- :larry: How can you not like this guy?
- :april: Everything she did was because she afraid Redd White would kill her.
- :whip: Best character in the series. She wanted to step out of her fathers' and Edgeworth's shadows, but couldn't do it.
- :sob: She's just too dumb for anything she did to sink in.
- :devasque: She was just defending herself. But did she have to call in the mafia on Phoenix?
- :goodman: He was just trying to figure out what REALLY happened in SL-9.
- :mia: Seriously, why did Redd skip the blackmail phase and go straight to murder?

Spoiler: Characters from AA ad JFA I didn't feel sorry for
- :karma:
- :damon: First-class jerk who only cares about himself.
- :sawit: Random burgalry goes wrong.
- :redd: He punches you. And he ruined the lives of so many, including Mia, Grossberg, and April May.
- :yogi: He shot Hammond and framed Edgeworth. 'Nuff said.
- :jake: I just don't like this guy. Good think he got fired.
- :wellington: Snobby con artist.
- :sal: Is it possible to feel sympathy for this guy?
- :notes: She was framed.
- :morgan: She wanted her own niece to get the death penalty, just because her younger sister was better at channeling than her? C'mon.
- :megaphone: This guy is annoying and his character design sucks.
- :darke: Serial killer.
- :enguard!: He sucks majorly. The real villain of JFA.
- :shelly: This guy got away!! WTF! He's an honorable assassin? So what? Still an assassin.
- :pshhh: I'm homophobic, even though this guy is apparently straight.
- :juan: Stuck-up jerk.

All the murderers deserved conviction, I didn't feel bad for any of them. In my opinion, a murderer should not frame someone else for their crimes. They should just cover their tracks, or turn someone in, not put the blame on someone else.

I know speaking logically that would be the case but after a murder would you be so calm and do what you just said. I mean they felt so helpless they didn't have the right mind to do that. I mean they couldn't help it because half of them they almost went insane. So it's really hard to focus on covering their tracks or turn someone in because they lost the power to focus and think logically.

I see what you mean, but that's my easygoing side of life setting in. I think I feel the least sorry for Ms. Miney, she stole her sister's face and claim she hated the occult. Just say you got tired of the occult and say you want to be a nurse.

Yanni Yogi: He really didn't do anything wrong. He was just a simple court bailiff! ;-;
Mimi Miney: Her, I'm not so sure. It depends on whose fault for the patients dying was (whether it was just her negligence, or whether Dr. Grey really did push her so hard) and if Dr. Grey gave her sleeping pills while driving.
Godot: Need I say more?

Well, I haven't played 4-4, yet, so this might change, but I don't feel bad for any of the actual killers - they all got what they deserved...revenge is not a good motive,
Spoiler: 2-3
though I do feel bad for Acro for why he feels the need for revenge
, and self-defence only holds when you kill the person who's going to kill you, not an innocent third party...
Spoiler: 3-2
And besides, Tigre was an admitted blackmailer and gangster
. Even
Spoiler: 3-5
Godot gets no sympathy, because he could have done what he did without killing Misty, in so many different ways...getting rid of the letter before Pearls could find it, for instance.

I do feel bad about people I get convicted of other crimes in the process of convicting the killers...specifically
Spoiler: 3-5, 4-3
Iris and Machi...the fact that they're my clients don't hurt, of course, but they were two innocents, who got caught up in bigger things.

:devasque: Hammer went out to kill her,and she only struck out in self-defense.Hope she only got jail.
:yogi: He lost everything, because of a jackass attorney.Felt bad for him since Hammond ruined him.
:knock-knock: I'd absolutely hated her,until she confessed.Come on,she might've caused fourteen people to die,has a car crash,and loses her sister.Poor thing.
:acro: Only guy to not scream and whine when you expose him.Enough said.
:godot: ...What am I to say?He was a bit stupid when it came to the letter,I have to admit, but he was grieving over Mia by then

2-2- Yeah, Grey...Grey was just a bastard. But he was so luvvable |3
2-3- You could argue that he didn't deserve death, but he really should have raised his daughter better. >_>
2-4- Just as much of a whiny bitch as Matt, if not more so.
3-1- (Didn't deserve death. HE KNEW TOO MUCH 8U)
3-2- This guy was just an ass, plain and simple. Blackmailers never win.
3-3- He made a highly dangerous computer virus. That's bad enough, as people who have gotten computer viruses should know.
3-4- (Didn't deserve death.)
3-5- (Uh...this one's REALLY annoying, honestly. The victim didn't deserve to die, but Godot was still 100% justified. >_>)
4-1- Bad parent FTL.
4-2- Horrible doctor FTL.
4-3- If he hadn't failed his mission, two little boys would have died. Jerk. >_>
4-4- Yes, because exploiting your daughter for profit is a great thing to do.

I would agree with you a little, but I like the victims too much

Obligatory mention of the 2-3 killer. Besides that, I feel slightly bad for

Atmey. He still deserved to go down for what he ended up doing, but in my opinion, before he committed murder, he wasn't any worse than Ron.

I don't feel sad for convicting any of them, since they were guilty and deserve punishment. However, there were a few I was disappointed that they (and not someone else) turned out to be the guilty parties:

Spoiler:
:godot: :acro: :matt:

I really wanted them to be innocent.

I felt bad for convicting Ini, due to Grey being a total slave driver and all... and Dahlia, considering what happens later on.

And Dee as well (although according to the text at the end of 1-3, she doesn't get arrested, so...).

I'd say something about Stickler, but I'd sound like a pervert or something...

Richard, duh :C All he did was freak out. Think about it. If you had lost something that could get you in trouble, someone found it, she brought it back to you with a cop there.

Wouldn't you freak out too? D: Seriously. He just freaked out a little bit more.

Considering who you are, I find that VERY surprising. VERY, VERY surprising.

This. Sure, a game can get touching, but feeling sad for having then found guilty? No. It's called Justice for All for a reason.
