So far though, we've stalled on the case I wrote: Turnabout is Fair Play. Started out as an assault case due to Cainus Loupas's negligent driving that sent his car smashing into the front window of the Cool Subject clothing store, striking and injuring Faeri Slost, Vera Slost, and Ben Slost inside. Faeri later died in the hospital from her injuries, and when the trial left off it looked like Ben was the actual murderer, not Loupas.... But there's a stack of very unclear domestic violence calls from the Slost household...

From what I can interpret, you're saying that none of the family isn't pointing any fingers, or trying to prove that it was actually just reckless driving? I'd add something like a flimsy motive that Vera and Ben can attack, or do something dramatic like a failed sobriety test right after the police were called. That'll give you some headway when it comes to making the case a little more indepth. Just anything that'll give the Slost family some point of attack.

I have a really bad habit of chewing on my stylus when I'm thinking. Its a good thing the DS comes with two of them, because I had to throw one of them out because it got too chewed up. :larry:

I also have a bad habit of talking to the characters, like "Phoenix, you idiot, don't go flashing it in his face, now he's just gonna take it from you!" (lol, Von Karma in 1-4) I have to be so careful playing that game in public...

Oh god, I do that too. I also move it in and out of the side of my DS for that satisying "chk" noise.

I fuck up so many styluses that way :keiko:

I squeal whenever Edgeworth comes on the screen. I have arguments with characters too, but in my head so no one hears and so my sister doesn't have to tell me to shut up. I chew on my stylus too. And I have a tendency to try and break the stylus when I get mad. It's a good thing I'm not very strong. I do voiceovers too, but I have a high-pitched, slightly squeaky voice so mine never come out that good... I also like to play under the covers at night for hours at a time. Oh, and I ALWAYS have to sing the Blue Badger theme song when it comes on (unless I'm under the covers).

Voiceovers for me too. I mainly do them for Edgeworth and Godot, although specific lines call out for voiceovers particularly (every one of :karma: 's objections, for one).

I do voices
For almost all of the male characters.

My Edgeworth is all deep, dramatic, and has a British accent.
My Udgy sounds like Geoffrey Lumsden.
Both my Grossberg and Gant sound like Jim Dale, doing Slughorn's voice.
My Phoenix sounds like...me.
My MAtt Engarde sounds like RVD
Spoiler: JFA-4. If you want the greatest moment in videogame hisstory ruined for you, go ahead and click away
My Evil Matt sounds AWESOME!

I talk to the game - Kidnapping case in T&T probably being the best example. When Dahlia testifies she saw the car, damn - I didn't recognize my own voice! "Oh no you DIDN'T! *presses Y button* OBJECTION!", and bam, I threw the map in her face.

And I laugh..but that comes naturally, since the dialogues are just too hilarious. I laugh out loud. A lot.

Other than that, I tap rhythms to the music with my fingers and stylus non-stop.

I have the BIGGEST crush on him, and I have since I first played 1-4. I STILL haven't gotten the third game yet, and I'm totally pished!!! I think Edgy :edgy: is the reason I love the game so much. I've played the first game so many times that I can scroll through the entire game (with the exception of the 5th bonus case) and still know what to do.

I took me until the very end of 1-3 and then the better part of 1-4 to make me a fangirl. I used to loudly proclaim to my friends that "Edgeworth is a DICK."... but then the awesome that is 2-4 cemented the fangirlishness, and 3-4 had me squealing with fangirl delight at the same obnoxious smug mannerisms that used to piss me off! :edgy:

... Granted, not even my being a fangirl could keep me from steaming when he called Mia a "novice bimbo." Or cheering when she zinged him right back about his memory!

Despite the fact that I don't speak with it normally, my rearing in the boro (though I live in another one. I lived there until my mom came home from the 9-5, and I was schooled there) has deemed me with the gift of a Brooklyn accent. So I now frequently say "Yo, what's youse guys doin' to my moped?" even when it doesn't apply.

I have a tendency to commentate on the cases. Any time the prosecutor will say something I will be like "You are wrong. OBJECTION!" I also will be like "LIES!" when I see a witness statement that I know is bogus. That along with the fact that I play with the volume all the way up annoys my family to no end.

I tend to yell a lot of "Go to hell!' whne I see Redd White or Manfred Von Karma...I hate those two.

Well, weird enough, I throw insult at the DS screen when I have to cross-examine someone annoying. I chew a little on my stylus, but not enough to break it. I also do weird things when the "Cornered" theme in each game starts...: Ex:
Spoiler: T&T: End Case 3
:zenitora: : Ah! The bottle of potassium cyanide was brown and made of glasses!
:phoenix: :godot: :udgy: : .....
Me: *Do a little dance* Oh yeah, oh yeah! I'm the best, I'm the best! *makes a middle finger at the screen*In your face! You just got
OWNED!

Input this into most of the T&T case, I still have to see case 5 though(I actually just finished case for at 2am this morning) can't wait!

  1. Voiceovers for the dialogue.
  2. When I'm playing on real hardware, I tap each end of the stylus twice against the non-touchscreen part of the DS, as a nervous habit.
  3. Weird monologues (i.e. talking out how I would respond to that utter jerk that Phoenix just met).

In it, we burn away deceptions and irrelevancies
until we are left with a pure, perfect product:
the Truth, for all time.

My latest gameplaying quirk hurts :nick-sweat:

I think I just get way too into my gaming, since at the tail end of 3-5, I damn near put my fingernails into my left palm on at least 5 separate occasions last night from clenching a fist so tight. Livid, angry, and downright furious are all vast understatements.
Spoiler: Major bigtime 3-5 spoiler!
Pretty much thanks to Dahlia and her smug "you can't punish somebody who's already dead!" routine, plus how glibly she was talking about her plan to kill Maya.

So yeah... I didn't clench my fist hard enough to actually draw blood, but I've got 3 very sensitive crescent shaped red bruises pn my left palm (the fourth one, from my index finger has faded already- I don't think it was at an angle to leave as much of a mark.)

On the other hand, I forgot about my hand shortly thereafter because I was too busy gloating, crowing with delight, and informing the character on screen that I had it all figured out and that the PWNAGE was about to commence.
Spoiler: More bigtime 3-5 spoilerage!
Words cannot describe my squeal of glee when Mia showed up and delivered a most thorough verbal bitchslapping to Dahlia. That was just epic PWNT right there.

And I nearly dropped my DS twice in shock- the first time when all the pieces of the case slammed into a coherent picture in my head; that seriously rocked me back in my chair and I nearly dropped the hardware. And the second was when the very last piece of the bigger picture clicked into place at something Iris said near the very end.

And I very nearly snapped my DS stylus at Godot's antics near the end of 3-5.

Okay, just finished case 5 after some long hours and... I totally get what you mean! Although I didn't hurt myself but... when:
Spoiler: Case 3-5
You discover the whole Elise=Misty, Iris has a twin sister thing

Me: .... *facepalm*10*
Also:
Spoiler: Case 3-5
I saw all the "Maya is dead and I did it!" doom talk from Dahlia

Let's say that huge grin on my face reverted in less that a milisecond, I was totally demoralised... that is UNTIL!:
Spoiler: Case 3-5
I just realised that it was actually maya in front of me. + Mia PWNAGE bitchslapping talk to Dahlia

I had one of the biggest grin I ever had on my face. It was so the definition of EPIC! :godot:
Last:
Spoiler: Case 3-5
The return of the son of the almighty slightly remixed original Cornered theme when you confront Godot... Ah the nostalgia of my first PWAA moments coming back.

I was so boosted I could even stay in place and my hands were shaking! :godot:

Not too many that I recall (been a while since I played the first two games, so I can only come up with what happened towards the end of T&T). The one that was weirdest was cackling like a madman, for something along the lines of five minutes when I got the thing I'd been waiting for since case 1-4...

Spoiler:
Miles Edgeworth, Ace Attorney!!

As for voices, yes, Matt Engarde is definitely Rob Van Dam (though a touch of Keanu Reeves sneaks in there as well), and Godot? Pretty much since I found out who he really was, he's been getting my best Antonio Banderas voice. I also have, in the back of my head, the South Park character shouting "I AM ABOVE THE LAW!" every time Turner Grey makes even the slightest sound.

And I can't help but feel the overwhelming desire to ruffle Ron's hair every time he shows up.

Hm, well, the only thing I can really think of is that whenever you move to a new place and the date and location thingy pops up, I have to tap along the screen with my stylus along to the typewriter key noises. It's just a habit I've had since picking up the first game.

It isn't as fun in the second+ play through though, cos you can't tap in the center or it'll skip they noises and stuff. It doesn't feel right unless I'm tapping along to the typewriter noises in the center, off to the side is no fun.

I did voice a majority of the Mask☆DeMasque case though. Only because I was playing it late at night and a lot of the stuff didn't register unless I read it out loud. I guess my brain wasn't working well that night, lol.

Also, I use Godot's objection voice whenever I say "Objection."

Oh, man, how to begin.

My friends and I have a pet name for almost every character. Example: Ron DeLite=Cornman (it looks like he has corn glued to his shirt).

My Will Powers voice-over: "IMMA LION!!"

My Frank Sawhit voice-over: "SAWHIT! SAWHIT ALL OFF!!!" (courtsey AcroHater)

I pet the characters with my stylus. Mostly Edgey, Feenie and Godot.

I say "Mold it!" or something along those lines.

I have actually started doing the Ron DeLite thing, where I slam my desk with my elbows out and trail off when I talk. Every now and then, I'll catch myself scrunching up my sleeve von Karma style.

I call everyone who wears a beanie Hobohodo.

I, too, have Feenie's ringtone.
Pairings: Miego, FeenRis, EdgeyFran, KlavEma, CloTi, Zerith, Vincrecia.
Just a note, all: I haven't been on in a while, so I'm trying to get my little persona here back in order. I won't be on as much in the future, maybe a few times a week. Sorry!

I like to say out OBJECTION! after every OBJECTION! the character's make, and even try to copy their voices.

I stroke the hot, sexy or favourite characters of mine with my fingers, as though I'm stroking a photo of a lover. xD

I go "OH MY GOD! omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgkfmgjbd" whenever there's something thats cool/funny or whatever.

I also like to stare at the faces of the super duper handsome guys. Like young Edgey. :redd:
