Oooh~ Thanks CFTF! I'll have to try this out when Thursday rolls around.

The Assasin would need tocrammed full of different weapons. And seem to have a never-ending supply of them. Becuase, when you're a professional, you do thingsd properly.

I'm writing this quickly before I head off for school, but Dannichu should be posting some doodles of mine later, since she has a working scanner that I envy so much

Hooray Zizzo and doodles!

I'd like to see some weaponry. Like... guns and stuff. Just characters with guns.

I DON'T KNOW I AM ASSERTING MY MASCULINITY

Edit: I have begun work on Chapter One.

I actually have to really write this now, thanks to the positive reception. Ack

I said about Udgey before. :F He could have been the Chief Justice of the Planet Nick, Edgey and Larry came from, but when the feds took over, he was chucked out/exiled. (They were kids, they wouldn't know who the head of the courts was, so they wouldn't remember/recognise him) He probably got put in a small shuttle and drifted through space until he was picked up by the Kurain. That sorta explains why he's a bit... Loopy :F

This thread, and its contributers, are sheer brilliance.

I'm a fan of AUs, and this idea has been so well constructed and organised and Funk, you started writing it too! *squee*

I love the concept sketches and colours and those chibi comics! Also, since I can't draw inanimate objects worth a damn, I worship those that can draw MECHA..

I've got an urge to join the doodling, but I don't have a scanner.. I need to practice drawing, in any case. Sadshoe

Sneak peak at the beginning of Chapter One!

The Ties That Bind

Chapter One

End of December, 4001
Calypso

It was cold on the large moon of the water planet Odyssey, as winters often were. Still, despite the frost on the ground and the snow that would gently drift from the overcast gray skies, a child’s enthusiasm is not often dampened by such things. The three friends—Phoenix Wright, Larry Butz, and Miles Edgeworth—in absence of schooling for their winter break, would meet every day at the corner near Phoenix’s house to band together for the day’s adventure.

Until one day, Miles Edgeworth didn’t come.

That in itself was nothing unusual—perhaps he’d caught a cold from the winter chill? Certainly not out of the question. However, when Phoenix and Larry went to the small house that was Miles’ home to visit their undoubtedly sick friend, there was nobody there. Even that wasn’t all that strange. They’d all run away from home at times, and in fact Larry had once been prone to entering hysterics and fleeing home multiple times a week. Surely, Miles would return within a day.

He didn’t.

Nor did he return the next day. Or within a week.

Though the two remaining friends kept meeting at the same place at the same time every day for the next month, Miles Edgeworth did not join them. Even after school resumed, Phoenix would wait at the same street corner like he always did, often accompanied by his absent-minded blond friend. It made no sense. How could someone who was always there just vanish? Surely, he’d be there today if nothing else!

But Miles Edgeworth never came back.

-------

November 3rd, 4016, 1343 Ship’s Time
Alliance Cruiser
ARS Kurain
In the Asteroid Field surrounding Muspel

Even though it was really just a hunk of metal, and he’d only been attached to it for less than eight months, the large white bulk of the Kurain really did seem like home. Phoenix gingerly guided his own hunk of metal and circuitry through the treacherous belt of spaceborne rock that surrounded the immense gas giant Muspel, weaving in and out between the slowly spinning asteroids that had provided him with the cover he’d needed in his minor skirmish not moments ago.

The Kurain was a rather large flat wedge, like one gigantic airplane wing that didn’t quite have a fuselage in the middle. The space near the ship was relatively clear of asteroids (their weapons techs had done an almost-too-thorough job when they’d first arrived), though if Phoenix looked closely he could watch the smaller rocks bouncing off the ship’s kinetic shielding with bright blue energy sparks and an imaginary ‘spang!’ in his head. The young pilot’s hands gently and deftly worked the familiar controls, steering his mech under the large craft to the main hangar.

As he passed through the invisible magnetic field that kept all the air and good things that made life possible ‘in’ (and most of the minor, life-threatening things in empty space that weren’t exactly helpful to most living things ‘out’), Phoenix felt a little “pop” around him as he always did. Giving an extra-hard twist to the dark red handle on his right side to ensure that his craft’s plasma wings were most definitely and completely ‘off,’ the pilot landed expertly and smoothly, and—now that he no longer had to worry about controlling a giant engine of destruction—reached up to pop the seals on his helmet and placed it to the side of his pilot’s chair.

Phoenix heaved a little sigh as he ran a gloved hand through his spiky black hair, relishing the feeling of relatively fresh air in his lungs other than the stale recycled stuff in his flight suit. Still, the suit would keep him alive if something went wrong, so he supposed he couldn’t complain too much.

Giving a quick check around the cockpit to make sure everything that should be off was off, the spiky-headed pilot unbuckled the straps holding him to the craft’s control seat and hit the control to pop the main entranceway. In front of him, a crack of bright light formed at the top of the door (he had to hold up a hand in front of his face until his eyes adjusted) and slowly grew bigger with the soft whir of servos. The front of the cockpit opened outwards and downwards, becoming a platform of sorts for him to exit the craft onto the pilots’ scaffolding in front of him.

Before he left his ship, Phoenix paused and looked back in at the mostly-dark cockpit with a frown on his face. “RYUUICHI,” he said out loud at last. “Do you think you could run a diagnostic on the lateral thrust controls for me? It felt a bit ‘sticky’ out there today.” Oh sure, the lateral movement hadn’t really hindered him at all, but he could feel something strange, and even a little bit of strangeness in a multi-ton war machine wasn’t quite good for business.

With a beep, the AI acknowledged him in its strangely-human voice, “Of course, Lieutenant Wright.” A series of running lights on the main console lit up like a holiday tree, indicating that the AI was busy with its new task.

Phoenix caught the eye of the Deck Officer below and tossed him a short if friendly wave. The Deck Officer, whose job it was to regulate all the more boring aspects of flight—logging times, coordinating mechanic work, et cetera—was a fairly non-descript brown-haired man who managed to be rather friendly and yet quite stern at the same time. Really, though, Phoenix liked him. He was a real pro at his job, after all.

“Wright, the Captain sent down a message for you,” called the Officer in his deep voice. “She’s a bit busy discussing things with Commander Kaminogi right now, so she’ll send for you when it’s time for the debriefing. So just hang tight for a while, or go get something to eat.”

“All right,” returned Phoenix, scratching his head with a frown as the Deck Officer returned to his duties. Well, then… he’d been supposing he’d take care of his debriefing first, but if he had time, he might as well put it to good use. The young pilot spun 180 degrees and returned the way he’d come, heading back to his mech.

WHOOO! More ficcage! Humble beginnings, and all that. (Not that you should be humble about it- you should be lording it in the streets!) I love how you did the first section; making it obvious what had happened but not milking angst by the bucketload out of it, having Phoenix and Larry's confusion at the situation all-too apparent.

Um, um, um, Chief of Police? Or maybe the bailiff from the detention center? "Non-descript, brown-haired man" is not the most helpful of descriptions. Frank Sawit Also, when you say you want manly, gung-ho type what-not, does that mean fight scenes? 'Cause fight scenes are good. I could just claim that you'd need to be pretty darn healthy and muscled to be able to handle the stress, forces and recoil that come with flying a Big Machine of Doom, if anyone asks.

...And now I have this idea of Mia beating up student!Phoenix for 'training purposes'.

Wow. I just realised how many typos I made in my last message. You could tell I was in a rush, huh? Phoenix

Uh yeah hi sup

I was thinking about some random things and theories and stuff and thought it'd probably be best to bring them up here in the thread so I actually signed up for an account. SHOCK I KNOW :B but you know once I get an idea I can't let it go for some retarded reason. ALSO I REALLY LOVE AUs, THEY ARE A LONGTIME WEAKNESS OF MINE

Anyway the way I work through ideas is talking to myself generally and working through problems as I go along, so uh...might seem a bit disjointed. :O I hope that's okay.

Anyway who am I thinking about? CAN ANYONE GUESS? yes of course it's Yanni duh. He was a really important part of the DL-6 case and such, and I was just trying to figure out a way to change and adapt that but still have it work. And have him be important because I'm gay for him. :B DON'T MIND ME.

Hope I'm not stepping on toes here by just theorizing and such. I'm going off what I gathered through reading the thread, so if stuff has been added or changed here and there from what I know then you know...just ignore me or something. :B

SO. First off, question is what Yanni will be in here? If it's going to be the same doddering, old man Yanni that's faking his senility, there has to be a reason for it. If it's NOT that Yanni, then Yanni is pretty much entirely different since his life wouldn't be destroyed yadda yadda yadda. So let's say that it IS the same faking senility Yanni from the game that we I know and love. Question is, how do we get to this point? Why is he that way? What's he trying to do, and how is he related to the other characters? I've got a few ideas for this, so bear with me.

OH YEAH i drew Yanni as a pilot. lol. I couldn't help myself, even though I can't draw mech suits. :B
hurr.

SO. Assuming he's a pilot or he was or was involved or something, there's a few things that could make him lose it, so to speak. Of course, the foremost of which being losing Polly, which should happen. Actually that little locket he's wearing in that sketch was hers. I'm lame, I know.
BUT. How did she die? Easiest way - along with the innocents in that run Gregory was making through that asteroid field. If I remember how that played out right. Gregory was taking them through the asteroid field when Manfred showed up and busted a cap in him, right? SO let's say that Polly died somehow in the crossfire, or was a casualty, or her death was somehow associated with Gregory's death. That's enough to make Yanni lose it and want revenge against Miles, since it would be widely believed that he was responsible for Gregory (and therefore, Polly's death).
This part basically stays the same through all my theories, but here's where it branches out. Sort of. These are all sort of loose and sketchy and don't have a lot of solid details cause you know...just ideas :B

My first idea was that just like so, Yanni would lose it after finding out that Miles, even indirectly, killed Polly, and swear revenge. He enlists the help of Hammond, or Hammond convinces him that he can help him get revenge somehow, but when it comes down to it, Hammond bails or sells him out. depends on how you want to go with it. Hammond could just escape like a coward or just never intended on helping Yanni at all or...you know, whatever. Thus Yanni's hate-on for Hammond. Either way, being totally ditched and such, Yanni gets a beatdown from Karma (not that Hammond would have really been a help anyway, but it's the thought that counts, darn it!) and...in the process let's say his mech is severely disabled. Hoping to appeal to Karma's better nature, Yanni fakes brain damage from the battle, hoping that'll make him nonthreatening enough so that Karma won't just kill him. This is totally pushing it in my opinion cause duh of course Karma would kill him anyway BUT THIS WAS JUST MY FIRST IDEA so stick with me. Parts of this could be used in other places, anyway.
SO Karma's like "haha loser whatever" and leaves him alone. Since Yanni was a bailiff in the game, he could have already initially been on the Prosecution's side (this didn't occur to me until a little later, thus why it doesn't make sense with Hammond BUT AGAIN BEAR WITH ME) and therefore Karma just keeps him, but relegates him to some out-of-the-way occupation, such as...being in charge of mech distribution or something like that, as an equivalent for his boatshop. Yanni still wants revenge and then...I dunno. Whatever equivalent of that plot happens and such.

FIRST IDEA. Of course, I realized a bunch of problems with that (although some of it's alright) and began working through it again. One thing is that it divorces Yanni from the entire DL-6 conflict again, which I don't like since he was very much a central part of the entire thing. SO I tried to see if I could get him more involved, so to speak, in the entire affair.

Now, I didn't see anyone mention Gregory having a wingman/spotter...it's possible that Yanni could have been in on that instead. In this case, Karma could have jumped them and Yanni could have survived, somehow...maybe ejected or something, I dunno. I'm not entirely sure if Yanni saw Karma do it or not...it kind of goes differently depending.
Let's say that he does at the moment. In this case, Yanni could have faked being dead or braindamaged when Karma killed Gregory to survive, and Karma, assuming Yanni was either dead or too stupid to tell anyone what happened, leaves him be. Once word gets out, while Miles blames himself for plotting the faulty course, which puts him on his guilt spiral (a la the games, where even though no one blamed him for what happened, he did blame himself), the majority of those involved blame Yanni for...I dunno, not seeing the "asteroid" that took Gregory out. Or something. BLAME HIM FOR GREGORY'S DEATH anyway.
And perhaps, on the advice of someone else in the Defense who...I dunno, is looking out for him, or...something. Maybe Yanni asked Hammond for advice. EITHER WAY. Yanni's able to get out of most responsibility for it by being "brain-damaged" by the conflict, since it's a bit hard to blame someone who doesn't understand anymore. In this case, he could again be shifted off to mech distribution for his boatshop equivalent, and while everyone blames him, he knows that it was the COURSE that was faulty, and blames Miles.

While this scenario is a bit more solid than the first, there are still some holes here and there that could be filled or tweaked. For example, I'm not sure why Karma would turn to Yanni for assistance, if that's still going to happen. :B I didn't see any mention of how the Karma/Edgeworth/Yanni thing was going to play out.

For some reason I like the idea of Yanni being coerced or being under Karma's control and thumb, just in case. Maybe because I'm totally messed up that way, but something about that appeals to me. Since Yanni was originally a bailiff, he could be either on Prosecution or Defense depending. Him being on Defense works better for the him being with Gregory thing.

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that Yanni knows that Karma killed Gregory...if he DID know that, he would tell everyone. Well, if he wasn't braindamaged of course (OOO CATCH-22) but still, I think he would tell them, and why would he pretend to be braindamaged in that case? Unless it was to avoid being called a coward. Well either way, if Yanni DOESN'T know Karma killed Gregory, then in that case he's just as clueless as everyone else, and blames Miles for the faulty course (also, matches game canon better). If he DID see Karma, then he blames Karma for it but can't do anything about it, trapped by his own lie. Stewing in IMPOTENT RAGE UNTIL...I dunno, he tries to attack Karma or Edgeworth and fails. He'd probably get killed in that case as much as it makes me D: so hard, but realistically yeah he would totally get owned.

Does Edgeworth know Yanni? He might have. If Yanni was Gregory's spotter, he'd have to have some familiarity with him, but as he used to be, not the doddering old man later on. I'm amused at the idea of Yanni still piloting a mech as an old man. :D HEY KARMA CAN DO IT WHAT

And to COMBINE some ideas, let's say that Yanni DID see Karma and blames him for the deaths of Gregory and Polly (i am getting fond of the idea of Yanni and Gregory being friends and I NEED TO STOP THAT TRAIN OF THOUGHT RIGHT NOW) and goes after Karma with the help of Hammond since...I dunno, Hammond's a wild card who'll do anything pretty much if he thinks he'll succeed. Or something. I dunno. CAN YOU TELL I DON'T LIKE HAMMOND
Well either way Hammond ditches him, Karma gives Yanni a beatdown no problem and then recognizes his little red and blue and yellow parroty looking mech (lol). Karma thinks that if he had control over the potential wildcard of Yanni (due to his potential knowledge of what happened) that would prevent Miles from finding out, and so captures and just I dunno...forces him to work for him. Or something. THERE, THERE'S ME STICKING THAT IDEA IN THERE CAUSE I LIKE IT.
It would be easier for Karma to keep tabs on what Yanni says and who Yanni's talking to if he had him closeby to keep tabs on him, and he could also use the time to manipulate and use Yanni for his own devices like...I dunno, attacking Edgeworth. Or convincing Edgeworth to blow up some Defense mecha that happened to be guy named Hammond. ALL UP IN THE AIR SO FAR.

Any of these, all of these, combinations of these. I'm just working them out in my head.

I like the idea of Yanni having a mech because lol. I don't know much about mechs though, and if he's a spotter he wouldn't have one, BUT IF HE DID I think it would be called Polly. Unless that's too silly a name. NO I GOT IT. The mech could be called Sayuri, and the AI would be POLLY. And be all red and blue and such much like his parrot. :B
Just guessing, I'd picture it more working on speed than anything else. Kind of fragile. Particularly since he wouldn't have much of an opportunity to update or upgrade it over the fifteen years, so by the time he's back into it for...whatever reason, the mech is just as old and fragile as he is, and a little slow on the response time. It's fast though still, and rather good at dodging and evading, since it's hard for me to think of him focusing on power. I mean Yanni? lol. He would stand no chance against Karma and company though. And probably against most modern mobile suits. I mean mechas.
I'm no good at weaponry or mechs or what have you. :B Unless someone else fleshes them out, I'm leaving them kind of open. I might come back and make more though, depending.

So anyway. Probably come up with more as it comes to me, or you guys raise objections to what I'v come up with so far. OBJECTION, YOUR IDEAS ARE LAME. AND YOU ARE TOO GAY FOR YANNI. THOSE ARE MY CONCLUSIONS.

I still think Yanni's an important character though, and I'd really hate to see him shuffled off to a minor part. He played a big role not only in Miles' past but in Grossberg's and Maya and Mia's too. :< I SWEAR I'M NOT JUST A BIG FAVORITIST.

Anyway, in NON Yanni related ideas, I was just thinking about Will/Jack about the Global Mercenaries, and just as a quick idea, there should totally be a scene near the end, I dunno if it'd be on foot or in mechs it depends on what's going on, where Will's in some kind of danger and Jack throws himself in the line of fire, essentially sacrificing himself for Will. There you go, another death! And then Will could be like "OMG NO WHY DID YOU DO THAT JACK ;_;" and Jack could be like "*cough cough* my time is out, it's your time now" and then die and it could be REALLY REALLY HEARTBREAKING it's kind of making me sad to think about it actually. :< But I think there'd be some kind of appropriateness in having Jack die in the end, despite how much I love him.

Also, on Lotta! Surely there are like...other things going on that DON'T involve this huge armed conflict, amirite? Lotta of course could just be an investigative reporter, finding things to report back to the non-mecha populace on what the two factions are doing. What side is she on? WHO KNOWS??? She's a wild card, with a fluffy fro! :D And I like her so there is that. IT COULD BE A MINOR PART. Just a brief mention or something. I'd just feel bad if she got cut for no reason. D:

Also there was some talk of Acro and Bat and company. :O I pictured them on their own starship, just the whole lot of them. Traveling around, doing odd jobs for cash, just as a kind of almost mercenary family. Heh, big flashy starship. I'm not sure how they could get involved in anything though. I do like Acro so much. :< But I'm not sure what he could do. Hmm. The mechanics idea probably works better though.

I forget, was Juan involved with Celeste at any point during this, or did he not know her at all? Or just know her briefly? I feel bad about him not having a spotter, but he doesn't really have anyone else in his life without her.
I'd like a big Juan deathscene with him fighting until his very last breath against Engarde, cursing his name the whole way, but lol juan fangirl don't mind me.
Can you imagine how depressing that could be? Juan throws everything he's got at Engarde's now insane mech, screaming something dramatic and painful like...I dunno, if he DID know Celeste, maybe something like "You took her away from me, and I'll never forgive you! This time you've gone too far, and it's going to end right now! THIS IS FOR CELESTE!! RAAAAARR" and then he'd give everything he got and then Matt would be like ">D" and kill him and say something douchebaggy over his corpse like "I THINK CELESTE WOULD HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED BY YOUR PERFORMANCE. BUT THEN AGAIN YOU BOTH WERE SO SECOND-RATE ANYWAY. HA HA HA." and then cackle and drink brandy. like the evil DOUCHEBAG HE IS. but don't mind me.

ANYWAY. MAYBE MORE LATER. I DUNNO. I TALK TOO MUCH.

Zarla, you're absolutely NUTS.

And I love you for it.

I'll look through that wall of text more in-depth when I'm slightly more sober. >.>

Yanni being like... Greg's wingman... or Karma's.... I dunno. That seems a bit intriguing.

And I'm thinking Jack will probably die in the final assault on Charybdis. While Fran is busy having her climactic duel with Matt in the heart of the Engine, Larry/Jack/Will go do their THANG. And Jack probably sacrifices himself or gets killed in order to ensure Charybdis goes up in flames.

Juan? Dunno what I want to do with him, really. Matt probably kills him, just not in his initial return (since the Global Mercs depart after that).

Really, the Global Mercs end up being integrated formally into the Fusegi Alliance since they have trouble paying the bills with the loss of one of their best pilots in Matt Engarde. Maybe.

ARGH I JUST WORTE A REALLY LONG RESPONSE, LIKE THREE PAGES LONG, AND THE COMPUTER DELETED IT ALL ARGH.

NOT happy.

Um, I really loved the opening, too. Especially the idea of Phoenix showing up, day after day, even when Miles isn't gonna come back. It makes me think of a really loyal dog whose owner goes away for a while and they just sit at the wondow all day, waiting for them to come back. It's kinda heartbreaking, really.

Roffle at the Security Guard. You need to make as many refrences to him as you can, now. Like similies comparing him to a fridge magnet. You can do it!

Zarla's Yanni-ness was awesome, I thought. You guys can make parallels to the games so well (it fits in with MvK, Greggy, Miles and, well, everyone... and the faked memory-mental-ness!). That picture of him was just adorable... and old men in mech suits shouldn't look cute. I just want to color hug him.

I'm not too sure about the Juan/Celeste thing, though... the "THIS IS FOR CELESTE!" thing is a little not-fitting-in with the games, given that he just used Celeste's death as ammunition against Matt (a la faked suicide note) and probably didn't care for her at all, especially at the end. Lots of Celeste/Matt/Juan/Adrian backstory would be truly awesome, though.

I <3 Urby's comics. They're the cutest things in the world ever.

And I don't like my computer because my first comment was a million times better than this one. Nick

You've managed to make an old man in a skin tight suit look cool. It's...a miracle.

And because I have nothing else to offer but my meagre drawing skills, I may as well try to make my posts less useless:

Well, it was only after I gave them to her that I realised 'Whoops, none of these could be considered solely MECHAverse.' They could be, but they could also be for the proper games. I DON'T KNOW. If you don't mind them not looking MECHAverse-ish, then, um, I guess Dannichu should post 'em.

Not that I'm ordering you around or anything, Dannichu. Um.

Hey, Dannichu? You know you were annoyed at not being able to draw humans as well as animals? (LIES LIES LIES)

No crit on my Udgey ideas? :F

But more on topic, I really liked the first part of Chap1. Your working in of the detention center guard was great ^_^ (Like him, you are a real pro :) ). Also, I'm a amazed at how much of a Yanni fan Zarla is (In a good way). I hope Lotta gets put in, despite how much Funky seems to dislike her. (Ok, I admit it. I'm a Lotta fan :3)

It certainly could work, Gerkuman. I don't think I ever want to actually definitely say (in the "canon" GyakuMECH stories) whether or not the Judge is actually a Judge or just totally crazy and senile. Have it be left intentionally vague. But it can certainly be backstory in the head to keep in mind while writing :D

Yeah, thats true. Perhaps though they DID find him floating by himself in a shuttle. And perhaps during the series, there could be numerous theories to who he is from different people. ^_^ (Some wierd, some more sensible).

You play the flute too? Awesome! (I'm just a lowly grade 2, but it's still cool ^_^)

And your crap is cute! And also not crap. Really, really not crap. It's getting it's own page, isn't it? So, definately not crap.

And, so I'm not spamming, what I'm working on now: http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/4255/mechaphoenixfe9.png

I was vaguely thinking about how GyakuMECHA could be converted to the case makers and still retain it's mecha-style...um...experience. And then just thought 'I wanna try spriting!'.

And wow, it's hard. You have my new respect for your logos being so good.

Any advice for techniques or improvements (apart from the obvious fact it is unfinished) would be greatly appreciated, since you are the resident master sprite-ist Edgy

(Done with today's freaky day. Ugh, first a block of testing and then more studying and tests. I WILL FAIL MY AP TEST I KNOW IT because I can't study without zonking out.)

Yeah, I'm a flutist. I've been playing...seven years? Ho my nose. Ack Don't know how that translates to "Grade", because I'm a simple Amari-Can. (if only in spirit.)

I still don't know how to feel about having my own page. Dr. Grey Should I cry or gloat?

Aha, case makers and sprites! I was thinking about making sprites myself. (My own and not related to GyakuMECH, though.) That gave me a headache before I even thought of starting because it's more in-depth than I'm used to. But yes, I'll look at your sprite. Dr? Hotti
OKAY ANALYSIS TIME
The red edges on the sides of the sleeves: Are these intentional? Right now they're a bit too thin to look like bands.
Collar looks a little clunky (there's a distinct use of black, where other places uses grey)
Fix that thar pocket.

Of course, these problems might have come from the fact it's unfinished. The colors and stuff don't hurt, so you've done a good job on that! (lol this is me saying that i can't comment on shading 'cuz i ain't never done it)

Glooooooat.

Don't worry, the red and purple aren't the actual outline. Nor is the black. I'm just not very good at doing anything without outlines. I'll make them more 'realistic' when I'm finished with everything else.

And by 'fix pocket', do you mean put it at the correct angle, re-do the shading, completely redraw it or mess around with the outlining? Or something else entirely?

Thanks again!

I've been playing for...ooh...about four, five years now? And I am by no means a natural at it. And damn our time differences! It's 11:00pm over here, while you've only just gotten back from school (right?).

I write this post in third-person now.

Kwoiffei was busy last night. Kwoiffei looked at the topic this morning, then looked at her workload...

And Kwoiffei went: YIKES!

End third person ramblings.

I love what's been written of Chapter One.

I must rush to school now.
Thank you for flying Phoenix Wright. We hope you have a nice day.

Zizzo: Actually - the pocket is bugging me in ways I can't put my finger on at the moment.
How 'bout you finish the rest of it and then I'll see if I still feel that way. (You wouldn't mind if I poked at it if I want to fix it, right?) Matt
Actually, that post was still made at school, while I was waiting for the bus. I'm at home now. Shoe

If Phoenix was a mech pilot... Then I'd have a rival. I'd have to crush him with my Devil Gundam. Just hope my idiot brother, Domon, doesn't come around.

I guess Matt doesn't count as a rival, because he's an all-around pain in the patooks bad guy, right?

I think it might be amusing to have the Assassin have so many weapons he can't use them all in a single fight.
"Hmmm...today, I feel like toast!"

must resist urge to bellow 'basketball filled with weapons'; these people aren't californian geez

What will Matt use against us today? Perhaps a faceful of acid? Oh, how delightful!

(Am I the only one who thinks it might be cool to have the Assassin 'talk' to Matt? Maybe just like rattly breathing, but it's alive goshdammit)

Oh gosh that tandem pic took so long. D: I'm happy you like it, though! (Andy's my favorite.)

But isn't that actually CHINAMI doing the yakkin? I was thinking the Assassin might be semi-intelligent. It's an excuse to make Matt even more crazy gosh.

Matt Whoa wait, did you hear that?
Gant You must be imagining things!
Shoe ~?

Spoiler: Cut for obnoxious talk about my sig
(They're all Aquilas, semi-bird-human-Urbish things with two tails. It goes "Aquila [bird]". Phoenix is a phoenix, obviously. The Feys are doves (mystical white birdies ooooh). Edgeworth...I'm trying to make him an eagle? Fran's supposed to be a grey owl, err. Maggie's a magpie, because that's totally unexpected, and Gumshoe's supposed to be a clumsy, scruffy bird, so I think he's an albatross. Matthew and Iney, who aren't pictured, are a peregrine falcon and a mute swan, I think.
Adrian I have no idea.)

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading the alternate phoenix wright fan fiction, every one did a good job contributing to the entire thing and if you ever decide to do a GS4 version I'm looking forward to it although I imagine it would be like an OAV and much lighter then the series before it.

I might decide to do a version of the Edgeworth's military uniform and post it using the image submitted as reference.

I hope you post the completed chapter one soon.

Feel free to play around with it! I know I'll probably get almost-not-quite-finished and then get distracted by something else. I'm clever like that. (And I want to re-iterate the tandem sig love~ <3)

I keep thinking of the assasin as being like a formal waiter: 'I believe that the multiple round plasma cannons are in top condition today, sir, would you care to use them?'. Including, of course, obnoxious Oxfordian accent. Shelly And, um, if we made the Assasin do the 'no-one else can hear my voice >:D >:D' thing' as well as CHINAMI, then wouldn't that mean it's not exactly a rare phenomenon? So, when Godot is all '*rambling to self*, the others would realise what was going on. Or something. But I would love the idea that the Assasin and DE KILLER (Is that right? Totally forgot what the AI was called there, ahah. Sorry) kind of converse with eachither and override some of Matt's more reckless or stupid commands for what they believe is more suitable.

Haha, going to school in a few minutes. RUSHED TYPING WHOO!

Thanks! even though I haven't drawn anything in years I want to give it a shot I got a few how to draw books lying around and even one with an illustration in it of the male navel uniform though the dress jacket is different then in your version it's some thing that I can work off on.

Someone should draw the mechs next although are they supposed to look like the ones from the Gundamn universe? The only book I got on giant robots is the art book I got when I bought Xenosaga episode III. Sadshoe
