Yes there is a market for lesbo manga, but of course, they're smaller than everyone else. I've gotten the chance to read some unlicensed scanlations from http://www.lililicious.net . Some titles are ridiculously cliche in content, while few were surprisingly well written.
It's one thing for the guys to draw girls on girls, but girls drawing girl on girl? Flies over my head the same way as guys drawing guy on guy.

And the GUYS, well, copious amounts of body fluids is fine, but goddamn when I see those pendulums they called BREASTS swinging about all I can think is that they have serious 'mom issues'.
If it was started by a female, it'll be about yaoi. Besides, yaoi is hilarious in almost any given context ^^
