Fic writing probably isn't as difficult as you think, you should at least give it a shot.
Oh yeah, and I noticed that a lot of pairings seem to have their own nicknames, such as Klema, Trolly, Magshoe, etc...
So what do we have? Come on, we totally need one. Maynick? Phoenaya? It's kind of hard to come up with one. I guess NaruMayoi works, but not everybody knows their japanese names, so...

Anyhow, I hope the author writes more, it's always good to have some quality P/M fanfics. It didn't end with them being in some sort of romantic relationship, but it was very sweet, and maybe the author didn't think that they wouldn't be together after 2-4 yet, which is what I do, too. I try to keep it canon, going by the fact that Nick claims that Nick and Maya aren't dating in 3-2, at least by my interpretation.
Lol, Diamond Samurai PJ's. I think I've read a few fics with the Diamond Samurai mentioned now.

Well, there's certain parts of the games [endings] which just beg for extension in fanfic, if you know what I mean. 3-5 being the most obvious - Maya's pretending to be all cheerful there. Something went on between then and the credits.

It's the first one, so we don't know if all the credits are at a simultaneous timepoint, or how long after they are.
The next one is Pearl with describing how Phoenix finished the Special Course, but it could have happened before the Maya scene and she's just recounting?
But they've clearly had some discussion deciding Maya will continue as assistant [manager?] and Master, and it's possibly after the Special Course. [There'd probably be some kind of Misty funeral too?] Don't know where that boat trip in GK fits into things, but Pearl and Maya are clearly in the city with him that day. [State vs Iris Feb 6-9 2019. GK Mar 12-14. Supposed disbarring, not considered in GS3 writing: Apr 29.]
