Hey guys! Eep, I know it's been forever, and of course, I'm posting now to say I'm going to be out of town until Saturday, without internet access. I really do pledge to be better with checking here, really! End of the year shenanigans and all. Miss you all terribly! Just been so darn busy... :grey:

Poor ff3girl! *hugs*

I might work on the Script's accompaniment with my boyfriend. And I'm working on the drawings. And on the Decree of the Prosecutor's translation too.
But I have nothing to post right now, sorry.

I know! It's so quiet right now!

But I think it's cause we...really need a script now. Haha. Songs can only go so far.

And I have to work on my storyboards.

Alright, Guys... I'm not dead or anything ( I'm hoping that's good news? :redd: )

Sorry about neglecting the new April May's Testimony Arrangement, but now I've got all the time in the world, so... Anyway, here are two shots at the new version.

http://media.putfile.com/April-Mays-Testimony-New-Version-61708-recording
Um, I don't remember much about this other than slight improvisation and speaking through the bridges for added effect.

http://media.putfile.com/Newer-ver-April-Mays-Testimony-recorded-by-MEG-61808
I juuuust did this one. I tried to be a little spunkier on this one, I think, but I'm... not sure. There are some slight volume shifts that annoy me, and I had to cut some phrases and start in the middle, but they're pretty seamless. Does it sound like I'm trying too hard? Anything I really need to work on? Sorry 'bout random improv.

Hee hee... I especially love the 'thanks boys!' line at the end. ^_^ The lines you added seem to really add to it--I like it!

I still personally would like to hear less lines spoken and more sung, but that could be a personal preference. :april:

FINALLY IT'S DONE!
It was difficult, and I think it could be better, BUT I translated Decree of the Prosecutor in French.

Spoiler: Décret d'un procureur (I don't like the French title :p )

I'll record it tomorrow...

Out of pure curiosity, can anyone on this thread do a good Donald Duck impression? Unrelated, I know, but humor me.

Gasp! Piano skillz! :D Your piano playing is quite awesome. We could use more accompanists (I think?).

Yes, Kelly and I are working on a SUPER SECRET EPIC PROJECT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS. It will BLOW YOUR MIND...when we finish it. Have fun speculating in the meantime (like you would xD).

Also...Yeah. Script. We need one.

I was searching YouTube for Godot's Theme to learn by ear. Yours was totally the best one. I never finished learning it though, I'm too busy with PW Musical stuffs.

Just checking in to let everyone know I'm still alive. I've been a bit busy recently due to having my first really real job, but I still check the thread regularly. I guess the script is the main sticking point, now.

It's good that we're stilling getting new blood in. The more people we have auditioning and contributing, the stronger our final product will be.

Hi again, arimnaes! ^_^ How do you feel about re-recording "Anything to Win" with the different ending? I still really like the super-low croaky-sounding one, buuuut... I'm OK with the one that has the notes you can actually reach, too. Just let me know if you re-record it.

Also, if I am added, could someone please explain to me what's happened, how far we are, etc. and so forth?

Oh, and I'd also like to try out, if that isn't too much trouble.

As per ff3girl's request, I redid Anything to Win with the low ending note. As a result, the more appropriate title for this version would likely be...

Anything to Wrrrrrrrrnnnn

Not one of my best takes on the song, I think, but I can at least blame that on the diminishing quality of my headset and my incompetence with Audacity after not using it for several months.

Wow, I thought I was gone for a while, nut apparently not much has happened...

Anyway, I've been really caught up in my summer job, so when I'm not filing records into boxes at a doctor's office, I'm sleeping, with no time to do anything with my tablet. Sorry, Clarounette. You'll have to wait a whole other week and a half until I can finish coloring those pictures. :sadshoe: I'm going to Disney with my family all next week without internets. Sorry, all. But, hey. It's Disney. I'm excited like a little three year old. :will:

Also, I had some things on my mind.

1) Do we have an opening song? I've noticed that pretty much all musicals have a big, epic song at the beginning... except for ours. It's okay if we don't, though. Just wondering.

2) I might want to do something along the lines of opening credits. I was listening to Some GS Orchestra music that I thought would go really nicely. Like having an intro by Phoenix at the beginning where it's slow and quiet, and then alternating between credits with original art and sprites. In the other parts. (I know It's the AJ theme, but it sounds more epic than the other ones. XD) I'll try to work with chibiryu on writing it... I dunno. It was just a thought.

Okay, well. I'll see everyone next week, cuz I'm going to Disney World! :gant:
Can you handle us? So cool, baby, scandalous.

OOoh! I can't wait to listen as soon as I get home! *is excited like a 2-year-old!*

Otakubox--I hope you have fun in Disneyland, but you're killing me by making me wait longer for those storyboards!! You got my so psyched! XD

Hey, this may be a dumb question, but is this going to be a musical that has a lot of talking in it, like a lot of current ones, one with very little talking in it, like an operetta, or is the whole thing going to be sung?

Geno, its definitely not an operetta, as awesome as that would be. I don't think any of the song-writers have that much time on their hands. ^_^;; It seriously takes me days to work out a 3-minute song. And Triforcebun's not writing anymore. :-(

We're planning on having a spoken script with songs interspersed.

*Needs to finish What Have I Done...*

Clarounette! How pretty! I like that pic a lot. ^_^ Its funny how un-happy and not-in-love Edgeworth looks in that picture in contrast to how Gene Kelly looks in that scene. XD

XD

Hey it's Edgeworth, he can't be happy :p
Glad you like it :edgy:

You and your colleagues with the PWTM Project are gods among men! I totally love the music, and I'm a proud supporter! I check popdrivel every day to check for updates! It's just a shame that court-recordsDOTnet isn't taking new members. It said so when I tried to register. T-T

Well, the harder writing (the song-writing) is mostly all done. Now we just need a script... I'm almost about ready to have any random person write this. T_T

Anyone want to PM Gerkuman again?

Arimnaes, your VK is downright terrifying. In a good way. Nyar!

I'll PM him again. I'm getting so discouraged. -_-

EDIT: OK, I've Pmed him. Hopefully he doesn't hate me too much for how harsh I sounded. :sadshoe: But this is really getting to me.

Welp, I'm back from my college tour. Don't have a whole lot to contribute. I was going to record Décret d'un procureur, but I couldn't find the accompaniment anywhere, and it sounds terrible without it. I hope to get the DL-6 song finished up this weekend...I'm sorry that's taking so long, but I was stuck in a rut even before I left for this trip. Sigh.

Welcome to all the new folks, of course; it's always great to see new faces (names?). And welcome back, arimnaes! I don't suppose there's a possibility of getting a demo of your awesome finale song? :hotti: Great recording, by the way! I still love you as von Karma. Ummmmm....I guess that's it >> I feel useless. And while I agree that at this point, the script needs to be given the focus of our attention, there's still some work that needs to be done on the songs. There's a few places that could probably still use songs, testimonies in particular. There's also some really great ideas that I hope will be finished, Tomorrow's Trial being the first one to come to mind. Oh, and that 80s song for Larry ^^
