Ack. I just realized I'll be at work then. :sadshoe: But those are all really good points, Actorman, and I think you just summarized what we all are thinking. Hopfully the script can-and will-get moving after the chat. This is one big problem that really does need to be fixed. I think it is important that ALL of us turn our attention to the script, for the fact that it's becoming such a big issue.

Been forever and a day since I last posted ... but this's a pretty important issue we got on our hands now. I feel the same things Actorman has already voiced; if this project isn't going anywhere, why should I even waste my time. I haven't been working on storyboards or even considered recording anything. I'm all for this idea. Even if it's just to reestablish Ethed as the lead, I think this could only come out for the better of the project. It'll get people active again. If it's on Friday the 11th at noon out time, we shouldn't have any problems chatting it up with you guys.
OtakuBox, how long is your shift? You should get on after work anyway. These things usually last awhile. By the way, sorry your awesome storyboards were overshadowed by Actorman's Post of Doom. How big are you drawing them? I've wondered that ...

ThePhantomOtaku: I work an 8-hour day, usually from 9 to 5. so there's really not a chance that I can get on. I work at the one doctor's office my mom works at, so if she is working at the other office, then I might be able to get on.

Storyboard-wise, they're all on 3 by 5 notecards. So, they're pretty small.

Well, the good thing about this forums is that you can post your ideas and opinions here if you can't make it to the chat on the 11th. ^_^

I think this is very needed.
My AOL (as well as my other IMs) are in my profile.
I don't know what I'd need to do to be there but I want to be part of this meeting.
And I don't know if this will have any effect on this but I use Trillian for my IM, it can run all three IMs that I have at once.

A change is needed in how this project is run... and fast, I don't want this to die before it even really starts.
Right now we have epic songs and no script to hold them.

Great storyboards, otakubox. :)

Also, lol. I'm happy I got the ball rolling on more I'll Be There's. Ya copycats! <3

The whole script issue is becoming a major problem as we get further and further into this thing, so...yeah. I'll be at that chat if I'm not working. I don't know if I have anything to contribute, but I'd definitely like to be there to see what goes on. Maybe I can pipe up every once in a while or something. :P

Good on you, though, Actorman, for finally bringing this up. It needed to be done.

Well I know I am brand new to the project, and sadly I am not confident in my own script writing skills. Not enough for a project of this magnitude at least. But if you guys want I can talk to some of my friends that do radio plays and whatnot and see if any of them want to get involved and maybe help with scripts or something.

Gotta agree with Actorman here. Hopefully it won't be seen as some sort of act of mutiny, but the disorganization in this thing has gotten ridiculous. We've got several dozen dedicated, talented people that want to contribute but don't know where to begin. If there ever was a need for us to rise up and take matters into our own hands, now is the time. VIVA LA REVOLUTION DE PHOENIX WRIGHT MUSICAL!

The 11th is a Friday. Actorman didn't want to do Saturday because he would be working, and I asked if we could do it NOT on Sunday, since so many people may be in church at that time.

I'll try my best to be here on the 11th, but I'm not sure what's going on. @___@' It's going to be a really crazy couple of weeks for me.

I do agree that something needs to be done about the script...if needs be, though I've been shy about it, I can be asked to help with it as well. I'm an English major and I've taken a class for screenwriting, if it helps. XP' I'm not just a voice.

I don't think they'd ban you.
And I think that they would probably feel better with people in charge who can actually devote enough time to actually get things done.
I'm not saying they can't, but it's obvious that real life has taken hold of them to the point that they can't properly take care of what is needed at this time.

I'm not dead! Haha, I'm in for the AIM chat, already talked to A-man about it. GREAT new stuff, recordings, storyboards, it all looks fabulous! Which, to me, is even more motivation for this chat!

But in other news, I have something embarrassing to admit. It's the reason I've been dead for some time. It's a super secret, shhhhhh...

Spoiler: SECRET
Up until 3 PM saturday, I hadn't beaten all of the games. I hadn't even begun T&T!!! I'd played all of AA, JFA, even AJ, but no T&T. But Saturday, I got the game. And as of about a half an hour ago, I have officially played all of the PW games!! (I know that's really sad, don't judge me, circumstances wouldn't allow!)

So basically... I've already gushed to some other people from the thread, but WOW. I mean seriously, WOW. AMAZING. Can't believe I missed out on it for that long. My life is complete. That was just... amazing. Everything came together!!!! *sigh* :godot: 3-5? Best case I've ever played. Period! I could gush for pages and pages. So I'll stop now. All of you reading, remember that feeling after you've just beaten a game for the first time? Ahh. Nothing like it. This is madness!! No, this is SPARDA.

I'll work on the Script accompaniment, of course.
I've almost finished Maya Temple pic (I may post it today).

I also can work on translations. Just tell me if you want me to translate your song in French.
And I might try some storyboard... But I don't know which song I can work on.

I'll be at the chat thingy. :) My bit of the script should be done soon, and it shouldn't take me long to sort out the other writers.

What I would say is, while we shouldn't be doing nothing, we shouldn't be rushing either.

I really wish that I could contribute to the chat, considering that I'm a script writer and all, but I lack AIM. I'm not allowed. ^^;

The whole lack-of-script-direction thing is why I haven't done too much on the thread. Without direction, I can't write. I send my apologies and my desire for somebody to tell me what to do to the chat.

Hey guys! So I've decided... as much as I'm burnt out after writing Tomorrow's Trial, I looked over the songs for Case 1-2 and realized Redd White doesn't have a song yet (with accompaniment). Eeshk! So I've decided I'm going to put background piano to Actorman's lyrics, since that songs covers all of Redd White's evil, including the face punch. I'm posting this here in case anyone else is secretly doing that as a surprise project. I wouldn't want to trample your surprise, so PM me if anyone is working on that and maybe we can collaborate? I'm just putting it out there!

OK, well, since we've been talking about the script and whatnot, Deja and I thought of an epic way to like, start the show. Actually, more like Deja did and I was like "THAT'S COOL I SHOULD POST THAT ON THE THREAD." It's kind of like...An opening credits sequence, sort of.

We open on a sleeping Phoenix Wright having a dream (Deja wants to pan from his feet until we see his face). Deja has a really nifty little piano thing worked out here, and maybe we can hear him snoring. A few seconds in, we see "A Popdrivel Production" or whatever, then we continue to pan up to Feenie's face. We see "Phoenix Wright: The Musical", then the piano part becomes his alarm clock going off and he sits up really fast and yells out "OBJECTION!" without realizing what time it is or that he just woke up. xDD He'd probably be late for work or something, since he's Phoenix.

What do you all think? I think that would be a cool way to open up. :D Like, after the overture, right before the first song we have (whatever that ends up being--it's the Objection Song right now, isn't it?).

I already talked to Diana about this, but I'm not sure I agree with Phoenix's waking-up reflex being "Objection!"

A similar idea that this sparked, however, was that Phoenix, upon realizing what time it is, might object to the clock. Besides, if the alarm woke him up suddenly, I don't think that he'd be late, unless he unintentionally set his alarm for the wrong time the night before.

I like this better.
He could have been dreaming about his first day in court and as the alarm went off he shouted OBJECTION!
And he could have forgotten to reset it the night before since it's his first day on the job.
It could be on his normal time, but late for his new time.

I almost think that that opening is too... quiet, ironically.

If we're going to capture the audience's attention right off the bat, we need a really good, upbeat, flashy opening number.

I still don't think Phoenix would have hit the snooze button for his first day in court, though.

I agree. Based on the opening of the game, where Phoenix is pretty much as tense and jittery as is humanly possible, I would think he'd get there early, if anything.

I always envisioned the opening as Mia sort of pacing around the lobby, everything pretty quiet and serene, and then Phoenix bursting through the doors and being like "OMGamIlatewhatdidImisswhatsgoingonIthinkI'mgoingtopassout!!!"
