I like the ear wings on your Brynhildr draft, even if it's not the improved idea version. Really makes me think of a valkyrie helmet (That is where the name Brynhildr came from, right?)

This is my idea of the Assassin's plane form. I admit, I said I wanted something 'draconic/fishlike', but...it ended up being draconic/birdlike. ...Which I wanted to avoid because Funk mentioned the Huma having a bird form.

I have no idea how the Assassin would look like as a humanoid if this was its plane form.

The French spell it Zork. Which is how I spell it because the only Yu-Gi-Oh that exists for me is the French version. It retains a lot of the Japanese while still being in a format I can read!

Well, AIs have a visual mode, I know that (and I said that Phoenix disabled RYUUICHI's in Chapter One). But I dunno if they all have the ... thingies... that the animal AIs like SHOE have.

So far I haven't been able to imagine a humanoid form for the Assassin, ever. The closest I get is a Macross-esque half-form. And the only reason it would need to change would be to pull out a new weapon.
For serial, since speed is the biggest thing for it, wouldn't it be bad to flip into a human form and lose some of it?
There're plenty of solid guns and other stuff to pull effectively in a birdie/demihuman form.

I would debate the Eureka 7 resemblance if I knew more about the series. I watched...approximately 1.3 episodes. (Correction: I watched enough to be 1.3 episodes. I WAS SO CONFUSED.)
I keep mixing Eureka 7 and Aquarion, though, because I watched them around the same time.
Aquarion Sol's wings are where I subconciously based my idea of the ones for the Huma, which is why I insist they are not very flexible.

To be honest I don't see a staff as a "second" melee weapon. It's too large to be drawn quickly if the "first" melee weapon is disarmed.
