Need any advice?...Well for starters I would say never throw away what you write...No matter how much it sucks. It can help you see how much you have inproved and maybe you'll find it later and improve it.

@ Micaela Mousiki Yeah just write something, you can always edit it later. (It probably IS a good idea to edit it later...) But the important thing is to just write the fanfic. It's not like we ARE supposed to reach 'professional' standard
Everyone just wants to read P/M. Ugh my first fanfic was terrible... but people still keep favouriting it on fanfiction.net for some reason.Of course it's probably better to have some idea of the premise before you start writing, so just use your imagination, and once you have an idea, write.

Yeah I always wonder how you meet those people. Aside from embarrassing yourself by going to a convention in PW cosplay or something. (I'd only do that if I ALREADY had someone to go with.) I guess this is a niche game isn't it. The fact it's a while since the initial popularity of the DS releases of PW1/2 etc doesn't help.

Yeah, it was a bit uncreative, she does have a slightly longer hair, she has one side thing with a pearl. But she looks younger than 17. I'll put up with that because she must have a weird bulgy-eye gene like Iris. I'm just hoping they're not using this for Maya to not appear, because you know, Pearl is the Teenage Sidekick now, 17 like Maya in the first game. Pearl can say Maya's stuck in a cave training bla bla bla, without ignoring the fact she even existed, and they don't have to redraw her or anything.
Come on, do something good, writers! It's not that hard? I hold out this vague optimistic hope she does have some 'important', albeit brief, role in the game, (like a final case) and it's all been hidden due to spoilers. The pain of waiting is... getting painful.

It's so dumb when things act like chars couldn't have seen each other since the last game, even when it was made pretty obvious they WOULD. Larry was 'in Nepal' as GS3's cover when he skipped GS2, but he was just a kind of joke character we can explain away, the cover wasn't necessary, it's just like maybe Phoenix didn't see him the days of the game, they're not married or anything?
Now we assume Pearl would visit Phoenix without Maya for something related to mentioning Maya, but since GK was so full of Dumb Cameos for No Reason, then...
So I'm thinking it will be 'Oh Hi Mr Nick, Maya is STILL too busy stuck in a cave/off on a world spirit channelling tour since a year ago without me so she sent me to check on you since we haven't seen you for (8) years or something oh remember that Magatama?' *sigh*
I don't buy that 'training' or 'busy' rubbish at all. Being Kurain Master was some fantastic thing people killed over. It is THE CANON Maya would NOT be too 'busy' and would be Master AND 'Assistant General Manager' of Wright and Co. THE CANON DAMN IT.

If they attempt to claim that they haven't spoken in eight years, they've broken canon and caused a paradox. The best way to handle Maya's return, in my opinion, is to show her and Phoenix picking up as though nothing has changed and focusing more on the shock Apollo and Trucy have.

The 'new' writers could easily miss that easter egg though.
Now despite all fanfics, it would be weird if Trucy didn't know about Maya.
Apollo, however, clearly knows nothing....
It's pretty easy though (if they could be bothered...). Maya can turn up to do something important and useful to do with a climax case, like some vital evidence like 999999999999 other cases (and that's 'why she wasn't there earlier' or something.) What, I'm not 100% sure.
It won't be 'confusing for new players' for her to turn up 'dramatically' in a final case because Pearl would have already mentioned her.

Actually, I wish someone had asked about those two to gauge the response. We know they're coming back but they weren't officially announced or anything. With Simon and Edgeworth in the game, I can't picture any kind of role Klavier would play. He didn't really have a whole lot of overall significance in AJ to begin with except that he was Kristoph's little brother. Which also makes me wonder if the mystery of those black psyche-locks over Kristoph will finally be revealed.
As for Pearl, it's pretty much obvious now that with she's here, Maya will eventually have to turn up. I wonder if she still thinks she and Nick are still "special someone's" after all this time?

I'm getting paranoid now. So long to wait. If Maya's role is indeed covered up because it's 'important', it could be anything to be milked for cheap drama.
It's interesting Pearl is on the POSTER. But I think that doesn't mean much, if you compare to past posters. Klavier is damn huge (ewwwww). I WANT the poster, despite the lack of Maya. Phoenix looks awesome.

I believe I said something along the lines of "from what I've seen". And my point still stands, even if I phrased it in a lighter manner - we've seen fairly little of actual romance in the game, and declaring a certain shipping canon, when there are so many different ones to go for, would inevitably end up making a lot of people angry, so I don't think they'll do that.
That said, I'd like it if Maya and Phoenix ended up together. I like their dynamic.

I haven't read all of the posts yet and I don't know if that's been discussed before, but...am I the only who couldn't see the two of them being an actual couple (as in romantically involved) in the trilogy (to me, just simply because of Maya's age), but desperately wants to see that happen in Dual Destinies now!? To be honest, I didn't see them as being a romantic couple in the first three games.
However, I do see the ambiguity in their relationship, the potential. And if the possibility of moving more toward romance hasn't been considered at least once within that eight year gap (and not just because Pearl told them to)...well, I'd be surprised.

I haven't read all of the posts yet and I don't know if that's been discussed before, but...am I the only who couldn't see the two of them being an actual couple (as in romantically involved) in the trilogy (to me, just simply because of Maya's age), but desperately wants to see that happen in Dual Destinies now!? I know, got my hopes up too high, but whatever.

truly, it's been years (?) since i used this account, but i wanted to say how happy i am about DualDestinies and the spoilers, i want to see Maya again so badly. Also, you could say that my desire for this lovely pairing to become canon burns with the fire of a thousands suns (explicitly canon i mean, because c'mon there's so many subtle and not-so-subtle hints!!). It hurts because that may not happen ;A; ugh these life ruiners are disgustingly cute together, haha.
btw, im just starting to play PW3

Now regarding Maya...
I understand WHY she shouldn't really be in GS 5 because they need to get the plot flowing first. Something that they should do however, it add more hints to the game. Like in Apollo Justice there was I believe on hint and that's it.

There's no need to form more Fey PLOT, if that's what you mean. But that's not necessary. It's like Gumshoe in the earlier games or something. It's not like we get some fancy backstory or development of his plot when he cameos.

It IS very cute, I agree. Still, we've seen nothing of Franziska yet, have we? I honestly don't mind, other than missing the opportunity to give back the card (some eight years later...)
Oh well, I still doubt they'll make Maya or Phoenix canon in Dual Destinies. Even if it looks like they're dropping hints everywhere, I feel like they're not suddenly going to focus on romance, and certainly not enough to validate it. Which is a shame, I like well-portrayed romance.
