She is not!! Okay, so she is two-faced, but there are millions of two-faced people in the series!!

Anyway, Melissa is my favourite too, along with Mimi, Dee, Morgan and the fallen angel ^^!

:chinami: an obvious choice of favourite, or least favourite depending on how you look at it. 3-4 made me feel more hate than I ever had during the series.

Honourable mentions are :damon: , :uramidn: and :garyuu: .

As for least favourite, as in character who just generally sucks? :haha: quite easily!

Feenie's precious Dollie ranks second. <3
Spoiler: Explanation
Well, despite most of them failing, she thought out these convoluted clever plots that half the grown men in Ace Attorney couldn't even think of planning. Dahlia, even though convicted, and later killed, also managed to kill most of the people she wanted. (Exceptions: Feenie, Maya, etc.) She killed Doug Swallow, Terry Fawles (arguable, he kind of killed himself.), Valerie Hawthorne, Elise Deauxnim/Misty Fey, Diego Armando, and I think that's about all. And, not to mention, atop that cunning, evil center, she is one of the most adorable people in the series.

Morgan Fey ranks first.
Spoiler:
She was the cause of all this. How? She gave birth to Dahlia!

Sad to say, I've left C-R. I may still occasionally come on, but, y'know...
I just lost interest, but, this is still an awesome site.

Dahlia did NOT kill Elise Deauxnim/Misty Fey, it was Godot who killed her. And as far as I know, Dahlia didn't want Elise dead (probably because she didn't know she was Misty Fey). Also, technically Dahlia didn't kill Diego Armando either.

:gant-jazz: Who can't love Gant? D:

:jake: Not exactly a villain, but he did get in trouble, and I just like him. :D

:wellington-crazy: Even if the hair thing made me want to throw my DS, I liked his funny crazy expression, and he was a fun character.

 Because he's sexy.

:zaviaar: Luke rules. And he made the case fun.

:aliahands: She certainly was a different type of character. I really liked her and her personality and her erm... twisted, intentions.

I believe they mean that Dahlia's actions were, to some extent, the cause of their deaths. (Then again, you could argue that Morgan was actually the one resonsible...)
I think she did kill Diego, in a purely symbolic sort of way. Diego died, and thus Godot was born... or something equally melodramatic. 8D;

(^ Almost forgot to spoiler-tag. 'Doh. ^^;)

As for my favorite villains:

Spoiler: AA
:karma: - Ha, I agree with the person before me. Without him, where would the AA series be? xP It's be, like... Ace Artist or something.
:damon: - How could I not pick this bastard? Definitely one of the most cruel and unfeeling villians in the series. Plus, that STARE. It's almost as scary as Edgworth's glare of doom. Almost.

Spoiler: JFA
:wellington: - Although he is sort of lame (and freaking adorable), you have to admit that a person who kills with little to no reason based on paranoid asumptions is pretty scary...
:tea: - Oy. X__X Any villian who uses their children to carry out their deeds is evil in my book. She doesn't give a flying turd about Pearl, or any of her daughters for that matter.
:Psycho Matt: - Despite his questionable motives, I thought he was pretty good. Like I said, people who kill for stupid reasons are sometimes more evil than those who kill for "good" reasons.

Spoiler: T&T
:fire: - The bitch everyone loves to hate. Perhaps she is overrated, but I freaking loved the Dahlia arc. Thought it was brilliant and very well thought out, which is why 3-5 is my favorite case. Plus, I don't know what's scarier--Dahlia's sweet smile, or her demonic glare.
:lukeside: - Everyone needs a good comic relief villian. With phallic noses (or hair, in Daryan's case).
:zenitora: - He was actually quite interesting, despite his stupidity. If he had been more sophisticated, he might have pulled it off.
:uramidn: - She definitely got my sympathy as soon as she started crying. I'm such a sucker.
:godot: - Oh, Godot. ;-; My sweet little Godot. Like I said, I really got pulled into the Dahlia arc, and 3-5 is my favorite case. The award for the most heart-breaking confession goes to Godot, IMO ("When I woke up, there wasn't anybody waiting for me"? Why don't you just stab me in the heart, you bastard! ;______; tissuesplz). His epic philosophical/Zen moments are an added bonus. Perhaphs overrated as well, but I still stand by my opinion.

Spoiler: AJ
:garyuu: - This smug bastard. Well, I have a thing for sophisticated villians, and Kristoph is just so... suave. ;-; Bastard. Need to replay AJ, though, and reevaluate his character and such...
:haha: - PHALLIC HAIR. 8D Sorry guys, I couldn't help myself. Like I said, I need to play AJ. But Daryan makes a nice comic relief character.

I have huge mad love for just about all of them. But my favourites have to be...
Spoiler:
1. Manfred von Karma. Edgeworth!fangirl here, and this man is pretty much responsible for all his angst. Plus he sounds utterly demonic when he does his objection. Plus, he's just COOL.

2. Damon Gant. Gawd, he's creepy, yet he looks so utterly harmless and eccentric. Until he does that intense stare.

3. Matt Engarde. Because he looks so cute on the surface, because he makes brandy appear out of thin air, because he's got a bloodplay thing going on, and because he's truly, utterly, unrepentingly sociopathic.

4. Dahlia Hawthorne. Because she's so good at manipulating people. Because she acts so widdle and cute and sweet, and she's as tough as nails underneath it all. And because she's so honest about not giving a fuck about anyone else.

5. Kristoph Gavin. Because he's gorgeous and stylish and clever and cool. Urrrgh.

Oh yeah I also forgot one villain..
Spoiler:
Also Dahlia, :chinami: like wow, she can pull of the whole good girl attitude then once you turn your back she turns into a evil badass villain into a second. She hides evidence by giving it to this lovesick guy.She also tricks a guy by meeting with her and poisons him sending him into a coma for 7 years. In my opinion, shes one the best characters that can pull of two personalities and hide the real one thing.

Damn, I love so many of them. I guess my favorites are
Spoiler: these villains.
April May, Redd White, Manfred von Karma, Damon Gant, Richard Wellington, Matt Engarde, Kristoph Gavin, Jacques Portsman, Calisto Yew, and Quercus Alba. And maybe Cammy Meele, still thinking on that. :meekins:

#5 :zenitora: Dude was insane. Insane enough to believe he could get away with impersonating Phoenix. Crazy enough to pull it off. And keep it under wraps while he collected (read: extorted) debt repayment.

#4 :yanni-faint: Sad what drove him to his crime. But smart how he was able to look ahead to what he would eventually do to get back at those he deemed responsible. Like burn his fingerprints off and act like a kooky old man.

#3 :gant-clap2: Who doesn't think this guy had a lot going for him in his 30 Xanatos Pileup?

#2 :karma: Had it not been for Phoenix, the strike of midnight to ring in December 29, 2016 would mean he got away with the perfect crime.

#1 :zaviaar: I believe a quote from another character sums up why Luke Atmey's my favorite villain in the series (I don't really count Godot/Armando as a villain)

:udgy: A guilty verdict...AS AN ALIBI!?

Yep.

Male: Oh dear, that's harder. There are plenty of bad (and sexy) boys in the series, I can't decide.. I'll say Furio Tigre. I'm in love with him, so I guess It can't be helped.

I just loved his expressions, like his elevator eyes and how he always aired his chest out, lol. In addition, his theme song is one the best in T&T I think.

I have to say, out of the newer villains, I was very impressed with Quercus Alba. He was such a criminal mastermind, yet he gave everyone the impression he was a helpless old man. It was rough bringing him to justice, too! He was a truly multifaceted villain.

Spoiler: React to ALL THE VILLAINS!
Frank Sawhit: Well, considering he's the tutorial villain, you kind of expect him to go down easily. All the same, throwing a wig and foaming at the mouth- great breakdown.
April May: Unnngghhh I hated this bitch so much. Then again, I just hate characters like her who use their *aherm* ASSETS to get their way. As a villain, she was okay. (Like her more in the Turnabout Musical fan-project, where she has an epic jazzy song. lol)
Redd White: I agree with a lot of other posters, this guy went down really easily, for being in the position he was in. Still, son of a bitch had it coming, killing off our mentor in the second case of the game. And that bling animation... just... GRAH.
Dee Vasquez: One of the killers I actually feel kind of sorry for. Sure, she's a blackmailer who had mob connections. But still. Jack Hammer was responsible for killing, judging from her reaction, the man she loved. I can understand how she'd be resentful.
Yanni Yogi: OH GOD THE SLEEPING. That got on my nerves... you have no idea how badly that got on my nerves. Still, he's another one I feel sorry for. Blamed for a crime he didn't commit, forced to act insane and losing everything as a result. The poor man... Which only makes me hate this next villain even more.
Manfred Von Karma: One of my favorite villains of the series, as well as the one who earns the most HATE from me. This man ran the entire courtroom like he was judge, jury, and executioner. He was frustrating as hell to win against, which made the victory all the more SWEET when you did. Also, he has one of the scariest objections in the series. Hearing that voice... It makes you jump in place, especially when you think you HAVE him. And without him, no DL-6, no Misty Fey becoming a fraud, no Mia and Maya growing up with only Morgan to look after them.
Damon Gant: He's my third favorite villain of the series with the second most HATE factor. His stares... they broke my DS. And he was so jovial and jolly, which made him all the more stubbornly ANNOYING to take down. Doesn't help that I had been forewarned he was the one who really did it, so the moment I saw him, I knew, the problem was PROVING it. Poor Lana... Poor Jake... Poor Ema...
Wellington: You know, I didn't despise this case as much as so many others do for the sheer reason of Wellington's breakdown and the music that goes with it. Him choking himself with his own pretentious neckerchief while his ringtone went off- epic. Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor for the win.
Mimi Miney: I really, really felt sorry for her. My mom used to work as a nurse, and attitudes like Dr. Grey's were just the way of things. That made it all the more believable that Mimi screwed up due to the pressure put on her by the doctor. And then she crashes the car and kills her sister as well, then wakes up with her sister's face and identity that she now has to live. I don't blame her one bit for wanting to kill Dr. Grey. I honestly don't. The guy was an asshole.
Acro: Oh God, this guy... Now, I actually kind of liked Regina, so I was a bit upset to learn she was his intended target. All the same, he killed the man who raised him unintentionally because he wanted revenge for his brother. Hard not to feel bad for him.
Matt Engarde: He's fifth in my top five of Ace Attorney villains, and probably fifth in HATE factor as well. The guy acted innocent and likeable and somewhat pathetic, which was a great front for his true psychotic personality. The reveal was well-handled, and he was one of the most difficult villains to take down due to the pressure of Maya being returned being on the line. Also, he was smart enough to trick the magatama. Though there was no way he could know about that, still, you have to admit, clever to hire someone else to do it.
Luke Atmey: Pretentious asshat who, nonetheless, was really, really clever. He irked me with his attitude, but damn... guilty of theft to avoid being guilty of murder. That was a VERY smart move.
Furio Tigre: I. Really. Didn't. Like. This. Guy. As a villain, I prefer a bit more class- not just sheer intimidation factor. Still, he, like Von Karma, was able to pretty much run his own trial, and if not for a really dumb slip of the tongue, he would'nt have been caught.
Dahlia Hawthorne: "Feh. Stupid player. Why don't you actually DO something to prove it was me instead of sitting there with that dumb look on your face?" RAAAAAAAGGGEEE. She's my fourth in my top five Ace Attorney villains, with the third most HATE factor. I really like her as a villain and a character, even if I LOATHE people like her. Taking down little Miss Angel-Face both in life and from beyond the grave was just... epic.
Alita Tiala: Love and hate her for much the same reasons as I love and hate Dahlia. I just don't think she got enough attention to really earn the hatred she deserves. And Wocky straight up annoyed the shit out of me, dawg, like fo realz. (rolls eyes)
Daryan Crescend: PENIS HAIR! *ahem* Now that I have that out of my system, he probably scores the lowest on my rankings of villains, because really, his plans were going to be undone by a child speaking about it to avoid the murder rap? Not very threatening. Also, though I loved 4-3, the culprit was OBVIOUS. There was no way in HELL Machi could've used the murder weapon without dislocating his shoulder!
Kristoph Gavin: Now we reach my second favorite Ace Attorney villain, with the 4th place in HATE factor. I love and loathe Kristoph Gavin. Smooth, sophisticated, suave, seemingly friendly, and beneath that, a heaping helping of paranoia and crazy! He was, as Vera called him, The Devil- and he probably scared me as much as Manfred Von Karma. Because calm fury is far more intimidating than shouting someone down. And his Perceive... just... his Perceive... Devil Hand and on top of that, he's GLARING RIGHT THE HELL OUT OF THE DS SCREEN AT YOU!

Favorite villain.... well, I guess I'd have to say Karma, because 1-4 is just my favorite case. Especially during the second day of the trial with his prediction that the trial "will end in 3 minutes". Why? Well, I like to think it was because he was busy cooking some instant-noodles...

Maybe de Killer, too. Not because of the one he killed, but because he took Maya away from me for the majority of a case... then again, that case was one of my most-hated ones...

Favorite villains, huh? Alright, I'll give this a shot:

Dahlia Hawthorne :that-b-word: This is a character I love to hate. She's sadistic, she's manipulative, she's callous, and she's several more things besides. It makes bringing her down all the more sweeter. She's also fun to write, at least in my opinion.

Damon Gant :gant: My word, this character's complex. He can somehow pull off being both a genuinely friendly detective who is dedicated to his job and a masterful puppeteer who has gone mad with power. At the same time, no less! Even in defeat, he seems to care about the responsibilities the law puts on him, even though he circumvented those responsibilities with his whole scheme.

Shelly de Killer :shelly: I hesitate to group Shelly with Dahlia and Gant, because he might've started out as a villain, but he certainly didn't end up that way. Plus, how can you call a guy a true villain when his only real motive was that he was doing his job?

However, I digress. Shelly was really a guy to fear and respect. You feared his presence and his sheer power and cunning, but at the same time you look at his codes of honor and trust, and you can respect that.

And that's my big three, really. Honorable mentions go to Redd White :redd: and Jacques Portsman :tennis: , but only because they had pretty funny dialogue.
Some call me eccentric. I call myself creative.

Shelly De Killer strikes me as more of an Anti-Villain.

But suddenly, we’re tired, from a waste of meaningless emotions

시작은 뭐 즐거웠었네 오르락내리락 그 자체로 어느새 서로 지쳐버렸네 의미 없는 감정소모에

Fear? We were supposed to fear him? I agree with the respect part - as Phoenix said, "Oh no, an assassin with morals". Although I always find it hilarious when somebody trusts people and then gets thoughroughly rim-jobbed by them. Just so nice to show that Trust shouldn't be given so easily - or that a decent amount of suspicion should always remain.
But what's to fear of Killer?
I mean, okay we're told that he's an assassin who kills tons of people. But do we have proof? All we know is, he is definitely the one to kill Juan. But otherwise, we never know for sure that he killed anyone else. It's just hear-say. Like people say Phoenix is an Ace Attorney.... when all he is, is a guy born with such Unluck it's Lucky and his cases rely on randomly showing stuff until he hits the right spot.

Okay, that's because it would've made the game a bit more hard to have him be a type of lawyer who acts like he actually paid attention and learned something in law school. Personally, I'd love a PW game where I really have to play by Real Life rules. (ie. differences between Murder, Homicide and Self-Defense; chain of custody; etc)

Let's agree to disagree on this. Because if you have my imagination, and you know what this guy's profession is, you don't really need proof.

I have a pretty sick imagination, but just because some guy with stitches on his face tells me he's a professional killer doesn't mean I'll believe him. Decisive evidence, after all!

Back to topic, I've been wondering for a while if Viola/Urami from 3-3 counts as a villain... she never really killed anyone, did she? I still find her cool - and she looks like a Bleach character, I find that funny.
Spoiler: Regarding Viola
She put something into the coffee during the re-enactment but the person who played the victim didn't really die, did they? A fan-story told me that she is known as a murderer, but I don't really remember anything being properly mentioned in 3-3.

She's not, at least from what the game tells us. She IS a Cadaverini after all, but no evidence of any sort.

Well, if anyone here said Acro or Godot, you guys don't have a heart. No way in hell either of them are villains, the guys just lost it.
I don't want to choose between the "final bosses" (von Karma, Gant, Dahlia, de Killer, Kristoph, Alba, etc) since they were all very well-designed, so I'll stick to the underdogs:
Luke Atmey, Furio Tigre, and Cammy Meele.
I still can't believe Cammy was the murderer :( (and no, I am not sexually attracted to pixels)
