Lets see...... One simple solution to all of this: Someone... anyone... start up 3-1, and check Dahlia's profile. If it says she was dating Doug anything over 11 months and 29 days prior to the 3-1 case, then it means she was with him on the trial date of Terry Fawles.
Keeping this in mind, she was dating Phoenix for 8 months (Diego incident was 4 months after the Fawles trial), so if she was dating him less than 4 months, there was no possible way for her to get the stuff.
One more thing: Terry and her buried the necklace together. However, does it ever say that she could've went back, unbruied it, put poison inside, and re-buried it?

No, she was in High School when the incident with Terry happened and five years later when the second poisoning incident took place she was in college when she was nineteen.

All seriousness aside, you think some of the senarios in all four games could have been avoided if the police were doing half of their jobs right....

And that NOBODY noticed that Furio was pretending to be Phoenix. Ace Attorney Security may have done the impossible and make Hyrule Castle guards look compident. (Personally, I think Hyrule Castle guards are dumber than Mushroom Kingdom guards. Not by much though)

Gant was the police chief, and he wouldn't want to hire any good security that might look into his crimes. De Killer is a professional assassin, so he would know how to get maya out without arousing suspension. The necklace was small, so Terry could of hid it in his pocket or something. He might of drank the poison before he testified, and then drank the coffee to help kill himself faster. I have no idea why no one didn't see Wellington hit Phoenix. Finally, Kane Bullard hiring Larry and Oldbag as security guards ended up getting himself killed. (Wonder if Mike Meekins ever worked at KB Security?) And Bullard has no one to blame but himself for it. And about Ron, he can probably do a better job at security by himself than Larry, Oldbag, and Meekins combined.)
