Hey guys.

I'm bringing this topic back with the real question:

We already know that Edgeworth is totally gay for Wright. But... in Edgeworths mind - is the dream sex brutal, manly, and animalistic? Or is it passionate and emotional?

I suspect it depends on his views on the possible relationship at the time. Although to be honest I don't view Edgeworth as much of an erotic fantasist.

Er, I'm not sure how we got "erotic fantasist" out of "passionate and emotional"... at least, I didn't, anyway.

He's definitely GAY. It's undeniable.

KingMobUK, when I read your quote I only saw the last name, making me think Winston Paine actually said that in the game. :payne:

I beg to differ. Burgundy and crimson are perfectly respectable colours. Not usually used to make up suits, granted, but then neither is royal blue (I'm looking at you, Mr Wright).

Both are quite readily available in shirt and tie colours however. And that aside, I know plenty of straight men who wear pink shirts. It's really not unusual in the UK - maybe it is elsewhere, I dunno.

It's unusual where I am (Southern California. But then again in LA there are a lot of unusual things). You are right about one thing, Phoenix doesn't get off the hook either with his suit color, but what the hell do I know? I have the color coordination of a vegetable.

The earlier evidence presented (which was the doujin clip) I can back up kind of with one of my three AM crack doodles.

I think he looks good in maroon. I can't really picture him in any other color. Orange would make me go blind. Blue looks so wrong(see fanart). Teal is not his color. Yet. Brown is not his color. Gray might look okay if he were a defense lawyer instead. Purple looks fruity. Black does not look right. Yellow = no.

He might look okay in white. It's difficult to pick out an acceptable suit color for this character.

I recall showing my father a screenshot of Edgeworth, and asked him if he'd faced any arrogant prosecutors like him in court. He responded in the following manner:
"None dressed like that, I assure you."

I don't know...seeing as how I'm not really a fan of the pairing, but I'm willing to agree his taste for dramatic does make him seem like he'd lean more toward the romantic tragedy than he would animalistic or simply brutal. :yogi:

I'd die laughing if that was a point some character made in the games.
"Objection! I refuse to let this man slander the defendant on the basis that his coat and color preference are tacky as hell!"

On the subject of suit colors...Payne's.
I don't think green is a very good color either, unless you're the awesome pre-2000 Riddler.
As for Gant, he seemed to get away with orange however, I guess it was the glasses and his batty, faux personality. Not to mention that hair.

If the lawyers in this game were dressed like ones in real life,.. it would probably bring down the game's enjoyment/amusement by 80% >.>;;... I'm pretty sure the creators were intentional in making the characters' fashion sense a bit kooky because then we can have fun discussions like this xD..

When I'm writing fic, if he's out of court I tend to imagine him in greys, blacks and plain white shirts. And jeans, actually. He wears jeans quite a lot in my fics, and I kind of imagine him in vintage button fly Levis. All expensive of course, but still casual. I regard his attire as a prosecutor as part of his courtroom persona.

Edgeworth is, if not gay, asexual, in my opinion. Being the character he is, (Quiet, keeps to himself with a past that would make it somewhat hard to trust other people) I really can't see him being with anybody, even if I'm a huge fan of the Edgeworth/Phoenix pairing, but that's only because that's the only person I can see him trusting.

Phoenix and Miles have been friends for quite a while now, even if Edgeworth chooses to seperate himself from Phoenix: No matter how hard you try, you can't get rid of the past. See case 4, game one. That event brought the two closer then what they were in 4th grade, which, without a doubt, made them friends. However, thanks to that case, Edgeworth and Phoenix's relationship gre deeper then Larry, the third member of the group, could ever comprehended.

I sense Edgeworth does have deep feeling's for Phoenix, but just wouldn't know how to bring them out, but I'm a little unsure of Phoenix's sexuality. :yuusaku:

Well I'm not rabid, I don't have any interest in yaoi (I'll admit to a passing interest in slash, but only if you squint) and I'm WAY too old to be a fangirl.

I still think he's a homosexualist. XD

I think my dad sums it up pretty well.

Me: Should a man know this color exists?

My dad: No.

Me: And see? He wears an automatic choking device.

My dad: Either they wear that in fancy British court rooms... or this game is fucked in the head.

Case closed.

Aww, Edgeworth look good in his maroon-colored suit, he wouldn't look good in any other color (Except maybe gray.)

I mean, if he wore orange, the poor man would look like he worked for Home Depot or something.

I haven't! XD But then again, I haven't gone diving into caves full of bats or anything like that, either.

It must be a dad thing to wonder about Edgeworth. I remember getting a quizzical look from him after mentioning that the character I was dressed as was a guy, when I showed up as Young!Edgeworth for the Halloween party at Sea World. Not that it particularly means anything, really, other than that vaguely conservative men over 40 seem to all have the same opinion of Edgeworth.

I thought it was some sort of pale brown. D: At least basing this off the updated DS art.

That's probably intended, I would think. I mean, he's got the rings under his eyes, and the stress lines, and he just carries himself as being older than he is... so grey hair? I'm sure that's to do with it as well.
