Well. I finally figured out that the bugs plaguing my animation system were not, in fact, caused by my coding. I ended up getting the BYOND devs to fix the underlying problem, so I'll be bringing the game back up after the next round of bugfixes are applied. Having a little extra time's probably a good thing, actually- I'm implementing a couple of features that I never got around to before (nothing major, though), and if I get the time, I'll be adding more characters!
