Who here is taking law as their career choice or possible career choice.

I was pending on having my career relating to law as I've always loved mystery solving and detective work

But after playing Phoenix wright I am going to become an attorney, it has influenced me quite a lot.

I want to become a prosecutor :edgy: or a defense attorney :phoenix: but prosecutors get way more money then defense does for some strange reason. :udgy:

What about you guys? any plans? :will:

It's not effected me entirely it's just shown me that being a barrister/attorney can be fun rather than boring, which is the message that needs to be sent to people who play the game tbh.

It's not because I'm going to go out and buy some hair wax and a blue suit

It can vary.

I had thought about being a lawyer or somehow being involved in law as a career at one point. But, laws really bore me. ^_^;; I couldn't imagine poring over books and documents about laws and codes. I'd probably fall asleep. O_o

Plus, I'm sure that being a lawyer in the real world isn't nearly as fun as it is in the PW world. XD

...although I wish I was doing something that made more money right now. ^_^;;

I'm a law geek. I'd known that I wanted to be a lawyer from a very young age, which is why I picked up this game in the first place.
I'm now well on my way to becoming an attorney, and I happen to think it's one of the most facinating careers available... but that's just me. As I mentioned before I am a total law geek.

I have thought becoming a detective would be interesting, PW never made me think this, but it concreted it. Too bad I'm a lazy ass person, so I might just be a graphic designer instead, but too many people are already in that field. So I really dont know what I want to be...

I didn't know what I was going to be before, during or after playing Phoenix Wright.

Being a Defense Attorney is an option that I may explore, though. Now that I've been exposed to it a little.

i wanted to be a lawyer before i picked up phoenix wright. since i just gave up on the "i want to be a doctor" career path. picking up this game solidified my decision.

i still don't want to be either a prosecutor or a defense lawyer though. i wanna be a divorce lawyer.

i'm a hella good reader and writer, but my arguing skills could use some tweaking though. ah well...i'll learn in time.

A good friend of mine studies law (the reasons quite funny: he knows he won't pass the physical police test, but if you got a diploma in law, you can enter the police force without physical examn, apparently.)

And I once was in one of his lectures and boy! that was quite boring, i say! maybe it was due to the professor but it didn't really seem as if anyone was really interested in this. Though something tells me that if you made it through all the study than it isn't all that bad to be a lawyer after all.

I always wanted to be police officer but due to the fact that I don't really get the training system for the police force in germany I wounded up studying economics. But maybe I'll go into the police force when I realise that there aren't really any jobs for economics that I care about (which I'm pretty sure is exaclty what's gonna happen, but what do I know ^^)

Very inspirational. I could only imagine your face when you screamed your first "Objection!" into the microphone. Doing it in a real court is something I can only dream of.

Well, I do want to be a lawyer, even without the Phoenix Wright games, people tell me that I would make a great one. Plus I can argue to no extent, but I know when to stop though.

But yeah, I've always loved mystery so despite even playing the Phoenix Wright games, I probably would've wanted to be a lawyer or detective. Though my first career choice was a doctor.

When I was little I totally (and without any basis) wanted to be a lawyer. I'm pretty sure I didn't know what a lawyer even was. o.o;
But I argued a lot with people in general (I was a know-it-all -.-; ) and tried to argue against the rules, so I guess I earned a rep in grade school. xP

...not so sure if I'd like to pursue anything in a law career now, though, haha. (Actually I gots NO idea what to do with meself! :D )

Plus the law system in the Ace Attorney games are probably not like the actual law system ... in the US. Amirite, amiwrong?

Everyone wins. *Shot*

I intend to take up law, not because of the PW or anything. I had thoughts about it before I even started playing, so there. As for why I play the PW games, I realize that they are nothing like the real world. I only play them because they're fun and make me think.

Just remembered something. I think in court (in germany where I live) there's no such thing as an "Objection!". I'm not sure but I think I read somewhere, that it works somewhat different here.

So there's really no fun in becoming a lawyer here in Germany, what's the point if you can't even shout :objection:

So whipping is actually allowed in japanese courtrooms? :ka-whip:

I sure hope they have some huge gaps between the AA law system and the one in japan. Because in AA I always get the impression that you even though the guilt of the defendant is very much in doubt, you have to prove his innocence and find out who the real criminal is, or else the defendant is going to jail anyway.
I always thought it's the other way around - the prosecution has to proof without a doubt that the defendant is guilty or he's going to go free anyway through absence of evidence or something like that?!

or maybe that's just my spoiled western way of thinking, influenced by all the law-movies. (There just HAS to be some truth in them ^^)

EDIT: wasn't that what happened with OJ? It was pretty obvious that he was guilty but he got free anyway because there wasn't any definitive evidence?

Hmmm I'm thinking deciding to be a lawyer cos of Ace Attorney games is about as logical as becoming a lawyer so you can hear a bit of Barry White as your theme song....

I on the other hand am going to be a museum curator or an accedemic so i can bumble through life wearing elbow patches- now thats logic!

Was that supposed to be satirical?

I've explained many times that my career isnt based on AA, I've always wanted to go into law

AA has just shown me how things are done in a court room, to which has influenced me to become a lawyer

i know what you mean. i always thought that since japan's way of doing things are usually opposite from america, then over there, you're guilty till proven innocent while in america, it's the other way around.

don't quote me on that though. it's all pure conjecture.
