Since there isn't an AA board, I'm assuming I post here for this. :yuusaku:

Anyway, time for the name meanings:

Dee: "Dark" (I think this is pretty self explanitory).

Vasquez: "Shepherd" (This could be a bit of an allusion to how she lead Global Studios from bankruptcy; she also treats those who work under her like sheep. xD)

I never knew the "Dark - Shepherd" one.
That is very cool! :scientific:

EDIT: I've read that Diva, the pun in Dee's name, means "Powerful Woman", which also describes her :sawit:

But they gave her a hispanic-ish last name, so what does it matter what her name might mean in Welsh?

Just because someone's last name has a certain background doesn't mean that their first name has to be from the same one. :|
