I've thought of something. Every attorney in the PW and AJ games have been through something bad:
Look:

Defense Attorneys:
:hobohodo: Lost his bag and became a hobo. D:
:youngmia: Died. Dx
:javado: / :godot: Went blind.
:grossburg: Blackmailed.
:gregory: Also died.
:odoroki: Father dead, mommy dissapeared.
:garyuu: In jail, polishing nails :3
(Where is the hammond smilie? Dx) Hammond: Dead.

Prosecutors
:payne: Do I need to say more?
:edgeworth: Daddy dead. D:
:karma: Executed :3
:franny: Well... Manny were her daddy D:(I know, not bad, but...)
:neil2: He's long gone, pardner.
:kyouya: (well, heres a exeption. Unless you think hes a jerk.)
:lana: Being controlled by :gant:

What wants Capcom to tell us with this? "Kids, don't be a attorney when you grow up" ._.'

Please tell me if I have forgot anyone.

That's interesting, however, I don't think it's on purpose. I mean, think about it, you can tell the same about almost every character of the games who isn't attorney XD
Spoiler:
For example Maya, she was accused of murder, and was almost killed; or Iris, her sister is a jerk; or all of the victims, they are dead XD

Btw, you forgot Lana :lana:

I never noticed that. Although it's quite common to lose your bag.

Also, I say Klavier is effected by his bro being in jail. I believe it's mentioned at one point... IDK.

Manny's not in jail anymore, his sentence was already carried out by the time of JFA. But still. >:D
The tennis guy in GK is supposed to be a prosecutor, isn't he? He better watch out...

Ugh, I hate that guy.

Spoiler:
But since there's a portion in the GK trailer that hints on him being the murderer / victim of a case, yeah, I'd agree that he's doomed one way or another. Then again, the poor chum's already a victim of bad character design and campy personality (again, based on the trailer). That then makes me curious if anything will happen to the Key Girl as well, but meh. :/

In real life it would be bad to be an attorney. Usually your client would be guilty. For example, what happens if your client was obviously guilty? (e.g has 30 witnesses that say the same thing and video footage.)

What happens if your client robbed a bank, and he accidentally ran into a security camera and his face was clearly visible? It would be hard to defend against that...
