I was just wondering in 1-3 ,1-4 , and 1-5 there are 3 court/investigation phases but in every other case where you investigate there are 2

personly i thought 1-3 was a little lengthend it got very boring durring the last investigation phase they could have just done 2. but in a case like 1-4 it worked very well and it was exiting all the time i mean it could have done well in 2-4, 3-5, 4-4. What do you think why did they stop doing 3 court/investigation phases ?

I agree. 1-3 really didn`t need the third day, and if you go by actual time spent, most of the cases in game 1, despite having more days, are actually shorter (1-5 is almost as long as the rest of the game combined) .

Still, more days would have been better in those cases you mentioned, although judging by what happened on those cases, a lot would have to be changed, since they (except 4-4) are dealign with an active problem going on. (maya kidnapped, Bridge is out/ Dahlia in the cave)

As I replayed the game, I came to the conclusion thaat 3-day trials tend to be a drag. Only when the case is REALLY huge and when there are enough plot twists to carry it around (or if some new element in the next AA game grants you the choice between 2 and 3 days somehow) could I justify currently more 3-day cases.

Indeed. 2>3, except in 1-5, IMO.

In 2-4 it was a plot point that Nick could only have 1 day, which was pushed to 2. I don't think De Killer would let it happen again.

I think 2 is just fine. It really worked for 1-4, but like others have said 1-3 really didn't need the extra day, and of the other cases I can't think of any that would have really benefitted from an extra investigation phase (other than the first cases, but that might ruin the point of them being tutorial cases).

Yes, but you feel more stressed when there's 3 days. Like, you know, "all or nothing".

But yeah, 1-3 was a bit too long.
