Von Karma. Edgeworth is edgeworth, Fransizka is just arrogant, Godot is too awesome and Payne is just a pushover. Manfred Von Karma was actually a bit scary and pretty much made his own decisions.

Meh, don't get me started about Klavier. I'm currently finishing 4-2 and he's making it too easy for me already.

I say Manfred von Karma. He was so straight-forward, rude and manipulative, no prosecutor topped that.

Manfred. He was a jerk, with objecting to everything.

Franziska at least had a dignity to have a "perfect win", by letting the defense attorney try everything yet still defeating him. Or at least she wanted :P

Edgeworth wasn't too hard, and later he became cooperative.

Payne was a joke.

Klavier was easy, because he thought even instead of Apollo, and he cared more about the truth than winning. In fact, even with no defense attorney, he'd do everything to find out the truth and maybe find the defendant innocent (if s/he is).

And Godot... let's admit it, he got his experience as a defense attorney, not as a prosecutor. And it's apparent :P

Manny, obviously. He only appears in ONE case, just one, but it's pretty impacting, so you never forget him.
I already forgot the name of the victim from 1-1. Something Stone.

Cindy Stone. what has she got to do with it.

@perrydotto: I wasn't implying that Klavier was a good match for Manfred, just that sliced-bread-no2 listed all the prosecutors except him.

Just making a point as how you never forget Karma, and you do forget other characters that only appear in one case.

In other words, either he sucks at being a prosecutor or he sucks at choosing cases.

It's okay.
Also, Manfred would have been even more scarier if he had his Italian "Objection!" in German. His German one sounds - oddly enough - crappy, but his Italian one is scary as hell.

"Best" and "Toughest" can be different.

Von Karma was the toughest.

Klavier pretty much helped you do the cases. I hate that guy.

Well, the definition of Best was "Best at doing their job as a prosecutor". That's kind of the same. If they are good, then they are tough to beat.

Yeah, but not everyone interpreted it that way. They would've just picked their favourites.

Moreover, Edgey is great at doing his job. His job is to find out who the guilty party was, by arguing against the defendant (and the DA does the opposite).
But Manfred stinks, he just cheats in order to win. That's not what being a prosecutor is about.

Arguing to the end to prove your point is one thing (a good thing), but cheating is different.

My list at "best at doing their job" is:

1: Edgeworth
2: Franziska
3: Godot

As a character, I like Godot more than the other 2.

Franziska's a better prosecutor than Godot? I like Franziska and all, but no way. Franziska never provided explanations, she looked over what wasn't useful to her and just brushed it all off as "no one ever told me." She got illegal evidences and yada yada. It goes: Edgeworth, Godot, Franziska, Manfred. That's one of my rules.

Manfred's objection made me jump out of my seat, and I'm surprised I didn't crap myself. I was just idly playing while doing my homework when THAT. OH MY GOD. I think I screamed a bit.

Who can it be but Manfred Von Karma. He didn't lose a case in 40 years. That`s all I have to say.

It can't be proven that Manfred cheated every time. Sure, he did forge or destroy or hide evidence in some cases, but did he do it every single time? I say no. Also, we don't know Manfred's past or his first 20+ years as a prosecutor. Something could of happened that effected him, and turned him into the man he was today. Also, it's not like other people didn't do either (Worthy in 1-2, Franny in 2-2) Don't get me wrong, not trying to justify what Manfred did, it was evil, just saying there might have been unknown factors that could of effected him. Plus, if it wasn't for Manfred, Edgeworth may have never been a prosecutor,

Commenting on others. I don`t think Payne is always terrible, I thought he was good in 3-1 and OK in 4-1. It wasn't exactly his fault he was bad in 1-1 and 2-1, Frank Sahwit was a really terrible witness who was too easy to read and a horrible liar, and Richard Wellington was really cocky and paranoid (and, in my opinion, insane). Klavier was good in his trial with Phoneix, but he helped Apollo out too often. Fransikza was in an unfair state from the beginning as she had to live up to the extremly high expectations of sucedding her father. My final prosecutor tiers, in order from toughest to wussiest:

Manfred Von Karma
Miles Edgeworth
Godot
Fransikza Von Karma
Winston Payne
Klavier Gavin

Well I name Edgeworth, from GS1. Playing those first cases against him was seriously stressful. I could feel too intensely how this guy really believes everyone is guilty and should burn in hell, and it almost had me depressed. He was like an insane religious fanatic – and freaking good at doing his job too.

With Von Karma, on the other hand, it was known from the beginning that for him it’s all about his personal record, making him just another evil bastard. Dealing with him might have been tough, but he didn’t cause me any personal stress. And the demonic objection was just ridiculous, really.

…I didn’t expect to be the only one like that. =/

Just like the others..
:whip: *almost breaks whip*
Manfred von Karma,
Spoiler:
(i wonder if this is a spoiler O.o) Even in some testimonies, how he usually does his "Von Karmic Objections". I didn't really care what Edgeworth said about "He's a Man to be feared", "A god of prosecutors , Wright , A GOD" " 40 years of blah blah blah" At the end we all took him out of his Perfect record.

And That is the end of my continuesly talkative thing about "The toughest prosecutor" *mumbles*
