The title says it all but let me explain first. By cheating, I mean that you exploits one of Ace Attorney's top flaw in gameplay and that is to save before presenting evidence in cross-examinations a.k.a "Objectioning" and answering the judges multiple choice question which may warrant a penalty. This in turn, gives the player a chance to use "trial and error" to point out the contradictions or establishing facts on the case. I don't know if that is called cheating or a mere hint but the question is...do you do it?

Me? I tried it in Luke Atmey's final cross-examination. I cannot afford to lose that one because I may have pressed the wrong statement. :keiko:

I used a walkthrough for about 3-4 objections throughout the whole series.

Yes, I always used it before I was given the chance to present evidence (near the end of a trial that is).

....And when I was so annoyed with the game that I wanted it finished now, I would use a walkthrough just to move onto the next one.

^Yes, I'm guilty of both.

Yes, because I consider it a sort of novel, a story, so if I got stuck, I would cheat.

And, mostly during 1-5, I used Walkthroughs (and I'm doing one, too XD)

^^; I used the walkthroughs, because I'm stupid when it comes to the court cases. The investigations I didn't need cheats for.

If you call saving the game right before a cross examination, and presenting evidence until I get it right, cheating, then yes. But, whenever I get stuck on an investigation phase, I use a cheat sheet.

I save everytime I have to make a HARD decision, or before every testimony. I wouldn't consider it cheating...Because it's there [The save feature] for a reason.

Sometimes during the investigation phases and 1-5 in particular, I cheated/used a walkthrough. I'm just too stupid to examine all of the scenes properly to find what I need. Damnit.

I saved all the time, especially when you would get penalties for needless pressing. However, I can honestly say, I never used a walkthrough, I just screwed up A LOT.

Even on second playthroughs I'm saving every 5-10 minutes.

Before I found the written walkthroughs I would look at some of the youtube walkthroughs... but only when I was really desperate.

On Brushel's testimony I nearly threw my DS at the wall so it was vital that I used the walkthrough.

I use walkthroughs when I'm really stuck. And I do save it if I'm uncertain whether the objection will be a success or not. I'm a bit of a perfectionist in that I don't like receiving penalties :karma:

Yeah, sometimes, when I'm torn between one of several pieces of evidence to present. ^^I do it for that too.

Walkthroughs only in a few cases, usually because I'm stuck on investigation and missed one little tiny object.

If saving all the time is cheating, then damn it, I'm guilty. XD

I'd only use a walkthrough when I'd get really stuck on something. I'm sure I had to use it for parts of 1-5.

I only use a walkthrough if I get stuck repeatedly, but I don't save it during testimony, only when the game itself asks me to save. And if I get a penalty, I reload my last save file (even if I mess up near the end of a testimony).

Cheating? Yes... A lot. I have a habit of saving a lot whenever I think something important will pop up. Even if saving at that moment is completely pointless.
And walkthroughs too.

I don't remember 3-5 so well, but I actually got Brushel's perceive on my own (eventually). I didn't have an actual clue where it was; I only knew that a lot of people got frustrated with it, and I felt surprised and smart when I happened to catch it. XD

Anyway, I always save at the start of each cross-examination, at each multiple choice (usually because I like to see what each choice does), right before attempting Psyche-Locks, and whenever I'm expecting one of those things where the judge asks you to present something or show where something is in a picture. But the only time I'd actually do trial-and-error is after I've tried to think of the answer for a while and genuinely don't know what it would be. I like to figure things out on my own, which is why I was stuck on 2-3 for months until I finally relented and looked up the answer (I did the same thing on a certain Professor Layton puzzle, although it was technically my friend who looked up the answer to that)... I'm pretty sure I ended up asking for help or looking up things in previous cases, too...

I use the quicksave feature almost all the time. I just don't wanna see my clients get a Guilty verdict, K? D: And I don't really consider it cheating either.

Yes...

I save whenever some big decision or difficult part looks like it's going to come up. I also save at tough cross examinations. And I use walkthroughs. >_> I consider looking at walkthroughs a really bad habit of mine. I only used it for when I was stuck at first... then it started escalating. Then it got to the point where pretty much all of my first playthrough of T&T was spent in front of a computer. >_< I really tried to break that habit once I got AJ, but sometimes I couldn't resisit the urge and I'd check a walkthrough... mostly to confirm my own suspicions. Though I admit I used it a bit too much on 4-4. :( Once GK comes out over here I'm going to swear off walkthroughs entirely.

I save every three minutes during trials (or so it seems to me) and I use walkthroughs when I'm stuck. I always *try* to solve things by myself, and it's the greatest feeling when I actually manage haha.
