This is the official AAI Countdown thread for case 2-2, Reunion and Turnabout. Use this thread to chat about the case and its characters, any pairings you drew from it, tell us when the last time you played it was and if your feelings about it have changed, etc.

This is just for fun so if you're not following the countdown exactly or at all you're still very welcome to post.

I liked Ini Miney, but I felt really sad about what happened to her... :larry: The introduction of Pearls, the return of Mia Fey, and the introduction of Franny made this case very fun and happy for me. :keiko:

The one thing that made me happy the most was the Psyche-Lock System! :keiko:
I remember when CR was cool and Croik was the only one in charge.

I also remember when we used to have respectable members. :(

I LOVE THIS CASE.

Where to begin? Franziska - she was adorable in T&T and after seeing that I couldn't help but love defending against her. I never really liked Pearl or Lotta that much, but the testimony with Lotta where Franziska forces you to agree with her was pretty funny. ("You were there yourself, Mr. Phoenix Wright! Answer your own question!") I also loved when Franziska screwed over Ini just so that she could defeat Phoenix on his own terms: it just showed you that she doesn't actually care about winning or her record, only about completely crushing Phoenix. And Mia's psyche-lock really surprised me, although it was kinda irritating the way she HELPED YOU get through it.

Ini Miney MADE this case. Her sprites, her reactions to everything, the testimony, as well as being a car fanatic... (Although British cars aren't exactly that awesome - German, I would've understood.) I also recall hearing a theory (might have been said on TVTropes) that Mimi had no choice but to adopt Ini's identity against her own will, as her own license had been burnt away and Ini's picture was the only thing there. The thought is so sad...

The only real problem I had was:

Hurrah! The one good JFA case!!

I didn't actually particularly like any of the new characters... It was nice to see Lotta again, Ini didn't annoy me like she did a lot of people, Morgan just didn't do it for me, and Pearly was too cold initially for me to warm up to her later. I didn't really like the humor with Morgan, although I did really like it when she thought Lotta was a foreigner xD

I don't particularly like Franziska. I think that twist with her at the very end of 2-4 was neat, but when you actually need to defend against her...

This is a really minor complaint, but something I don't like is that in Lotta's testimony, when you have to option to ask if she checked behind the curtain/under the floorboards/somethings else, later in the case it will Lotta saying she checked behind the curtain... even if she never said anything about checking behind the curtain.

Okay, characters are out of the way. Time for plot! I loved that like in 1-4, this was a murder where the only person who couldn't done it is your client. Of course, for that reason I'm also a little disappointed. I feel like the set-up was stronger than 1-4: in 1-4 it was in an open lake, where other people could have been, and you weren't there for the murder; in 2-2, the room was locked with one copy of an enormous key, and you were there to witness your client kill the person. Yet, despite the stronger set-up, the case was weaker. (Mostly because 1-4 was a final case and this was a second case.) And the murderer did the exact same thing (put on a disguise and switch places with the victim/killer), so it would've be nice if there was a different murder method. Oh well, that's just me complaining. Even if I didn't particularly like the characters, the plot was still good, and I enjoyed the case. (Especially compared to what else is in JFA >_>)

Definitely one of the better cases in GS2 (second only to case 2-4, in my opinion). Pearls is too unspeakably CUTE, and how could I not love someone who believes so passionately in Phoenix/Maya (even if I don't like Maya as much as of late).

The case itself was very enjoyable to me as well. I was gratified to see Ini's ditzy front drop when she came under pressure, but I sure wasn't ready for the Ini/Mimi twist (I might have been if I had already read "Pretty Face" at the time). Morgan's complicity surprised me as well, and Mia and Maya got a touching (if short) reunion, so good stuff all around.

On a side note, this case contains one of my favorite examples of why the ability to present profiles to people is actually a good thing (normally it drives me INSANE because it's hard for me to tell whether whomever you're talking to has something to say about x profile, thereby pushing the investigation forward).

(present Gumshoe's profile to Maya)

Maya: I felt terrible during the questioning session...

I mean, Gumshoe kept looking at me...

with these really sad eyes...

...

A memorable moment, at least for me. It just fleshed out Gumshoe's character that much more, even if he's not necessarily acting in a way that we wouldn't already expect.

I would just like to take a moment to say that I think Grey was the most entertaining victim of the series. I liked him a lot and I was sad when he died. His "doctor with a horrible bedside manner" was funny, and it's interesting how even at the end you never know for 100% sure just how bad he was. Felt bad for Ini, too.

Still not a fan of Franziska, though. Her whole "I didn't know about it therefore I'm not required to talk about it" bs over the bullet hole is just sooooo silly. That's not the mark of a skilled prosecutor.

And I know you're supposed to feel bad for Maya in this case but having rescued her once already, it already felt a little old and I knew nothing bad weas going to happen to her, so there wasn't much tension there. But at least it meant more Pearl, who is much cuter <3

JFA's best case by far. The thing I loved about this case was that you actually got to see Kurain and learn more about the whole medium background Maya comes from instead of just hearing her talk about it.

I disliked Morgan as a character- despite the game presenting her as doing everything for Pearl, I thought she was just basically selfish- but the introduction of little Pearly (who remains one of my favourite GS characters) balanced that out.

The plot was clever, in particular the infamous Ini-Is-Mimi plot twist near the end and she's probably one of the only defendants I've ever actually sympathised with.

All in all, it was a pretty good case. Although I totally agree with Croik about Franziska. Her whole attitude annoys the hell out of me :edgeworth:

Very true, he's not exactly painted black, is he? Listening to him rant about the weather girl is also very amusing! :grey:

Franziska is just a really obnoxious character, at least as presented in 99% of this game.

Out of all the cases in GS2, I found this one to be the best, because I feel it's the only one that actually contributes to the overall story of the games.

The case itself was really well done, I think. I honestly didn't know who the killer was going to be, and when I found out it was Ini Miney (Well, Mimi, actually) I was like "WTF HUGE plot twist!"

Speaking of which, the characters were quite good here.

Ini was funny but kind of annoying with her speech habit ('like, omg, I totally, like... Blah'.).

Dr. Grey was funny too, and it was a big disappointment when he became the murder victim.

Franziska as the new prosecutor? Well, it was cool to see someone different for a change of scenery, and she was pretty cool imo. Although she goes kinda crazy with her whip at times XD We also get introduced to two of Maya relatives: Her 8 year old cousin Pearl and her aunt Morgan.

When I first saw Pearl, I didn't really think much of her at first. I was just like, "Who is this kid? Why is not saying anything to Phoenix?" but as the case goes on and she opens up to you more, she ended up being one of my favorites. She's just a doll, y'know? :3 She just has this really sweet personality, but at the same time she's really tough and isn't afraid to stand up for herself if need be. Not to mention she's quite smart for her age and a powerful slap to boot XD Poor Nick...

As for Morgan, I didn't think much of her either when I first saw her. I saw that she really loved her daughter and that she seemed like a good mom, but when the case's end came and she ended up being Mimi's accomplice, I began to see her as very selfish and cold hearted for wanting to kill Maya just because she wanted Pearl to be the Kurain Master and the jealousy she had for Misty.

Lotta was the same as always, driving us all mad with her southern dialect and her love for photography XD I didn't mind her at all, I always thought she was funny. Hats off to a fellow southerner XD

To wrap this up, I thought this was a really good case, and a very important one to later events, and really makes up for GS2's weak cases imo.

*rolls eyes at overall story comments*

Anyway, Turner Grey. Ah... Dr. Grey...

The moment I met the man for the first time I felt an instant surge of dislike. That never went away. Yes it was over two years ago now that I first laid eyes on him... and since then my hatred has only grown.

And yet... things have happened since that original meeting that have brought me closer to the good doctor. In mid 2008 I was jokingly 'shipped' with him by some compatriots of mind, much to their amusement (and not at all to mine). And then, just over a year ago I had a chance to become him. Yes, I was Turner Grey... I stalked the halls of the hospital, trusty shotgun in hand, seeking out those who might be infected with the horrible disease that was running rampant through the city so that I might put an end to their misery. I even succeeded once before they turned me into one of them. In the end, Turner... me... I was taken by the other healthy ones and set alight so we could do no more harm. But at last... I felt I knew him. I felt I understood him. Perhaps he wasn't so bad after all...

And then today... we met again. And I saw them. Those glasses... those GlaSseS! Turner grey turner grey tUrNeR GrEy I HATE YOU TURNER GREY DIE DIE DIE GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY :grey: :grey: :grey:

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh

...

Ahem. I'm sorry I ah... seem to have forgotten what I was talking about.

So yeah, this case. I don't really like Day 1 of this trial very much, so I try to get through it as fast as possible. It's Day 2 where things really get good. The Mimi/Ini thing is always so fun to figure out and reveal. No one in game saw that coming, even despite the fact that Phoenix and Mia figured everything else out before even coming to court. I also really like Mia's involvement in this case (unusually!). She seems to belong with this one and helps Phoenix in subtle, reasonable ways.

Second best case of the game, definitely.

I loved this case! One of those rare episodes that aren't boring in any stage.
I guess I value interesting characters over anything else in games, and 2-2 was one awesome case especially character-wise. Ini, like, annoyed the crap out of me but, like, I found myself, like, liking her for that. :D And I was happy to see Lotta again! Of course I was also looking forward to see Franny prosecuting. And like I mentioned in some other thread, because of my own profession I found the medical malpractice thing very interesting. I kinda understood Mimi and why she did what she did.
Ah... now I want to play this case again.

I do like this case, but when I first played it, I found it so bloody hard(it took me a few weeks to finish it :lana: ), and I remember being all confused that you could walk around, and talk to people outside of court(JFA was my first AA game). XD

Anyway, I do like this case, but I'm not mad on it. I'm probably the only person in the world who likes 2-3 way better.

The characters... I loved Franziska, she was cool. Pearl irritated me, because she no more acted like an eight year old. If she'd been six, I'd have liked her a lot more, but since she wasn't, she irritated me. I began to ship Maya and Phoenix together during this episode, and I liked them two as well. Morgan was a pretty good villain, and Ini...oh, I just felt so, so sorry for her. D=

The twist in the end caught me by surprise, and this one was one of only two cases that nearly had me crying at the end(the other one was 3-5). I loved the music from this case, the 'Scars Carved By Fire' song was extremely depressing though. That was part of the reason I nearly cried. XD

So yeah, I mostly liked this case, but I did like 2-3 more. :nick:

Ah, my second favorite case in this game, and maybe on of my favorite non-final case.

To start off, you get to finally see Maya again. We got to meet Pearl, and these two spirit mediums make this game much more interesting. "Ini Miney"'s way of talking was like, annoying, and another new prosecutor enters the courtroom. The daughter of Manfred von Karma. To be honest, it was great to see her again after finishing the series. Her continuous use of the whip and the word "fool" made her quite a unique and interesting character.

This is the very case that introduces the Magatamas, so I believe we should give this case even more credit. The Psyche-Lock system has made investigations a whole lot more interesting, adding surprising, intense plot twists.

Speaking of plot twists, this case had a very good one indeed. The whole Ini/Mini incident had shocked me, and at first I had thought the channeled ghost did it.

Last but not least, it was great to see the Kurain Village. It was a great place to learn about spirit channeling and mediums, as it wasn't explained too deep in the first chapter of the Ace Attorney series.

Just finished the case, so here's my review.

Out of JFA, this has to be the best case for several reasons. The best possible reason I can give as to why I like it is because Pearly, Morgan Fey and Franziska are introduced. They are awesome characters.

I really liked the plot of 2-2 and it wasn't because Maya got put in danger...yet again. It was original and showed us (the players) a bit of insight into Kurain culture as well as what would happen in those types of situations. The ghosts and spirits aspect was interesting. I had DL-6 running through my head as I was playing it.

Character development was great. I liked it a lot. It's as simple as that.

Case 2-2 also introduced an aspect that I like to call W.R.O.O.I.S.H.I.A.B.U.W.T.O.M (We ran out of ideas so here is a block until we think of more.) or the alternate one which is the creators trying to make the game harder. Psyche locks were good but they were too repetitive and as I showed in the acronym, I thought it was just a way to make the case longer by stalling what ever you got stuck at.

Now, the most memorable mention would have to be the awesome music. As someone stated, Reminiscence- The Fire Carves Scar was one of my favourite songs. It had an awesome tempo and I was annoyed it only played during that case. Grr...curse you Capcom (*insert Sahwit glaring*)

I do not look forward to reviewing Case 2-3.

Quite bad in my opinion. Characterization was bad, plot not to thought-out, and annoying investigations.

2-2 was my favorite JFA case.
I absolutely adore Morgan, and I think I can relate to her, in a way. She's one of the best characters in the series, and it was actually explained how she became the way she is, unlike some other characters. Her aggravation towards Misty and the rest of the main family was interesting to me, and I thought her devious revenge plan was rather interesting as well, even if she didn't necessarily think it all the way through. Even though she is portrayed through 2-2 and 3-5 as a villain, I found her devotion to Pearl somewhat heartwarming. I am dying to try her jaw-droppingly large strawberry desserts and very bitter green tea, by the way ;D

Turner also ended up being one of my favorites. His RAAAAGE at the weather girl was hilarious to me, and I wish he would've stuck around a bit longer. I thought was very cool that they let you meet with the victim before he actually died, this time. The fact that Phoenix was right there when the crime was committed was even better, I think.

Ini got on my nerves at first, but when we found out about her past, I had a certain amount of respect for her character. She certainly didn't deserve all of what she got, and she never asked for what happened at the hospital after the crash, as some fans seem to think she did.

As a Phoenix x Maya shipper, I loved having them back together again, which is definitely part of the reason I love the case so much XD

Drama, drama, drama.

Morgan's quite the bitch, but a good villain. I liked how we got to see firsthand the ugliness surrounding the Master's seat. Everyone looked down on Morgan for having no spiritual power, but while it doesn't excuse what she did, I can see why she might have felt driven to use her own daughter to take back the title. It's sad that the title is so important, that she would treat her own niece like trash, and consider her own daughter nothing more than a "most prized possession"... or rather, "treasure."

Ini Miney and Mimi Miney... am I the only one, or does anyone else think the police slacked off here? Seriously? They never knew that the dead body in the car was Ini, which basically gave Mimi the green light to steal her own sister's identity? There are DNA tests that can be done and dental records that can be checked in order to properly identify a body, even if it was burned. Did the police just go off of Mimi's word, or what? That part just never made sense to me.

I loved it when Maya finally saw her sister after nine whole months. It was a precious moment, even though it involved Maya diving headfirst into into Mia's boobs. *facepalm* Come on, now, Japan.

A very good case.
There's a bit of a twist in the structure of the first investigation (the bit with Grey, followed by the murder happening in the very next room as yours) that makes it more interesting than usual first days... It also introduces Psyche-Lock along with fleshing out the supernatural element of the series, which will later become essential in T&T. Pearl is both mysterious and cute in this episode (later she's only culte, almost to a fault), making it one of her better appearances.
The trial gives us Franziska, a fascinating character. In my opinion, her emotional weakness is shown from the very beginning. You don't need to wait for the airport scene to 2-4 to discover what she truly is like. In the way she prosecutes, you can already see that by trying too hard to overcome, or even hide, her flaws, they become all the more glaring. She's a much more multidimensional character than given credit for. The contradictions are mostly well done. The only problems are Lotta, who is much more annoying than in 1-4, and the part with the photo in the detention center, which doesn't exactly make sense.
The second day of investigation is curiously weaker than the first. It drags on a bit longer than necessary.
The last day of trial, however, is extremely dramatic and emotional for a second case (the twist and the reminiscence theme have a lot to do with this). It resolves everything in a satisfying way, while leaving you wanting for more with the last scene.

But the main reasons I like this case is that I love the atmosphere of Kurain village and its strange customs, and that the classic locked-room mystery is very well executed.

Well, I enjoyed this case... though Lotta was pretty annoying...

I enjoy the intro to the Pshye-lock system, as well interrogating Pearls... (I'm Evil...)

Well, that thought didn't occur to me :P (I found CR after I finished the games, so I didn't know there would be anything like flashback cases and such.)

Well, since 2-2 actually happened before 2-1, I considered the possibility that they might go back in time again.

But obviously, it didn't turn out that way.

HUZZAH! I HAVE CAUGHT UP!

This was the second case I ever played, thus I was still getting used to everything. Refusing to use a walkthrough, I ended up with only a small portion of the penaly bar left. When I first saw a Psyche-Lock appear, I was all like, "HOLYSHIPSWTFLOLBONDAGE?!?!" it only took the 3rd case in this game to burn that image straight away from my mind.

I kind of liked Morgan at first, she reminded me of my grandma or possibly one of my aunts, either way she seemed like a nice old lady. Though finding out that she was involved with the murder kinda made me shake my head and lose all respect for her.

The way Pearl lies a lot is really annoying, though I still like her because she's sheltered. I used to be sheltered too...

The whole Ini being Mimi thing was a great Turnabout. Hotti was funny, in fact, if he had slightly longer, black hair,

The one contradiction I was able to spot right away was the one about the car being British and "Ini" coming out from the right door. My dad loves the Brits and constantly raves about how awesome they are and how they drive on the right. I felt mad that he actually taught me something important for once.

I'm not sure what I thought of Franziska, to me she just seemed like her father and Edgeworth had a daughter and gave her a whip (sorry for the mental image). I loved the Zelda reference though.

By the way, did anyone else spawn thousands of dirty thoughts when Maya mentioned remembering Mia's 'scent'? :hotti:

2-2 gave me a whole bunch of mixed feelings. The beginning part also made me feel kinda stupid 'cause I was like: "Wasn't Maya in the first case...? Why is Phoenix acting like he's just seen her? Did she leave AGAIN?" Yeah, I don't pay attention, hurrhurr. I realized, eventually, that the second case happened before the first case, though. But by that time, I got confused again. ;;; "Why isn't Phoenix unashamedly overjoyed to see Maya?!" I mean, he skipped out on cases before 1-5 happened just because Maya wasn't with him... I imagined their reunion to be more, gee, I dunno... dramatic? ;;; Not just: "M-Maya. How are you...? It's good to see you again."

Then I found out that 1-5 was an extra case... Haha, it was a fun case but it made me really confused about A LOT of things in Justice For All... ;;;

But yeah. 2-2. I really liked Ini-- Mimi, whatever. It was so fun to read whatever she said, I swear. She acted like such an airhead that I immediately thought: "Oh, this girl did it." And when I heard about her dead sister I thought: "I bet she switched places with the sister that REALLY died, haha." Those parts were pretty obvious... Dr. Grey being the victim really shocked me, though! Well, sort of. When Morgan said the place had to be locked, I assumed that someone inside was gonna die. And since I was 100% sure they wouldn't kill Maya off, I knew it had to be Grey. But we TALKED to him so I first thought that he was gonna be a witness or something... I would've liked to cross-examine him, though. He was such an interesting character.

Morgan was fishy from the start IMO... Her hair is what made me go WHOA, though. It was just so... huge and Kabuki-esque. I didn't like her much but I laughed whenever she or someone else mentioned her unbelievably bitter tea and insanely huge strawberry desserts. Oh, but I really liked Pearl! She was such a cutie. I laughed so hard when she first teased Phoenix about Maya. And when I heard that she was a spirit channeling prodigy, I instantly loved her more!

AND FRANZISKA. I had no idea what to think of her at first, really... I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be annoyed at the whip thing or if I was supposed to laugh at it. My initial reaction was just: "...That's not allowed in a court of law!" But it is REALLY amusing when she whips Phoenix silly for winning, LOL. I was also amused by the fact that she had some of the same mannerisms that Manfred had! Like the arm grip thing, haha.

What else...? Oh, there were lots of things that touched me in this case... Like that scene where Maya kept saying she was guilty but Phoenix went on believing that she was innocent. That particular conversation showed me how much Phoenix had matured since 1-4. And that one scene that happens if you present Maya's profile to Mia.

Mia: I can't see Maya... when I'm in her body like this... But I can tell. She's very lonely and sad. Take good care of her, will you, Phoenix?
Phoenix: I-I will...

Mia and Maya's relationship really tugs at me! I think it's because I have a younger sister, too... Even our age gap is like theirs! 10 years. So I've always had this soft spot for the two Turnabout Sisters. I really like how the case let them meet again! It was my favorite scene from 2-2.

Oh, and all the culture! I'm not a very big fan of Gyakusai's interpretation of the traditional Japanese itako but I suppose it's okay. Lots of tiny references to real places. Kurain reminded me a lot of Osorezan. Even the souvenir that you can examine in the Side Room! Just the fact that such a place prolly has a souvenir stand reminds me of Aomori.

And that part where Maya starts talking about Edgeworth for the first time in the game... It was really cool how they flashback'd and showed Phoenix and Edgeworth throwing "Objection!"s back and forth at each other... Then I got so shocked when Nick said that he was gone! And then I felt really sad because it seemed that Edgeworth leaving affected Phoenix a lot...

So yeah. It had its downs but it was a fun case!

Well, to be honest, it is easy to take out of context. But I knew, obviously, that they meant it in the nice and not dirty sense.

A great case, and definitely my favorite filler case of all AA.
The contradictions are excellent, especially the last one regarding the car accident and the different seats.
Also the connection with 3-5 is excellent.

Ini was great, along with Morgan and Dr. Grey, but Pearls was just an average stereotypical young annoying girl.
I wish she had been the victim instead of Dr. Grey... :uramidn:

I'm never going to catch up in this damn countdown. I hate work sometimes.

This is my 2.1 time playing this case. I think the last time I tried to replay it I got stuck on Lotta's testimony.

This case caught my interest right away because it didn't start out with a murder. I thought that was a creative approach and it made the murder more surprising when it did show up.

Actually, there is a lot I like about this case: Exploring Kurain and learning about Maya's family, presenting profiles to everyone to get the funny things they say about the person, and the psych-locks. I learned alot more about the characters from playing this case because of the new feature (which I didn't really pay too much attention to the first play through). I learned about how much Pearly truly adores Maya and wants to be like her. She mentions wanting her hair to be like Maya's. She also talks about how responsible Maya is which kind of contradicts her fandom portrayal.

Pearl: My absolute favorite character of all time (besides Edgeworth). She was precious and adorable once she knew you were a friend. I love her character design so much and it is my favorite in the games. I love her idealism about Maya and Phoenix and I love that she gets mad when she thinks Phoenix is wronging Maya. Her love for their relationship makes me wonder just how much Maya talked about Phoenix when she returned and what she said about him. I also thought it was cute that she wanted to curse Franziska.

A couple of gems from Pearly:
She tells Phoenix he “tricked everyone into believing you.”

Pearl thinks Nick’s badge is a sacred treasure.

Morgan: Oh my, what a total bitch. Her character design was nice, and my favorite sprite of hers is her angry glare. She looks downright attractive in that pose. I loved her odd manner of speech and insistence of using proper titles for Maya and Pearl.

Revealing profiles to her is funny too. At one point revealing either Maya's or Pearl's results in this: Morgan: "When did you take a hidden picture of Mystic Maya?" It's slightly different for Pearl, of course.

After presenting Grey’s profile and saying some bad things about both him and Phoenix, he has this thought, “Then I guess that makes Maya my insignificant little assistant, huh?” She had called Phoenix Grey’s insignificant little friend.

Morgan gets mad when you have Maya’s Magatama and show it to her.

Dr. Grey: I didn't notice how creepy this guy's sprites where the first time around. That pissed off pose he does is downright scary. I wouldn't want him to be my doctor for sure. It was interesting to get to know the victim a bit before he died, but I can't say I felt too sorry for him because he was really quite an awful person it seemed.

Director/Dr. Hotti: Another total creeper. Presenting almost any female's profile to him resulted in the creepiest dialogue ever and his sprite movements were even creepier. I know what he really says about Pearl in the Japanese version is much less tame than what they've given us in this localization. I think I'm glad for that even though normally I don't like too much tampering with the originals.

Ini/Mimi: What a twist! She was the most annoying witness/murderer ever. I hated talking to her and cross-examining her. However, after learning the truth I did feel extremely sorry for her. Her sprite movements were kind of precious too.

Franziska: I think I totally hated her when I first played the game, but now she's one of my favorite characters. Her objection voice sucks and some of her sprites look like her head was spliced onto them, but other than that, I really think she's kind of a fun character. Also, she's a character I love to piss off because she's kind of cute when she's angry. I really thought it was funny that they left her gender ambiguous for so long in the case. I guess the box art wasn't supposed to give away who she was? Not sure, but I think Phoenix or someone should have been more surprised. They could have played on that more.

Maya: I felt bad at the end of this case because Maya was sad about losing her aunt. She must have really care about her, but it seems that Morgan didn't really care for her at all. I thought the end of the case was sweet with her being reunited with Mia.

Mia: Her character sprites as channeled by Pearl were kind of, no, make that extremely creepy. At least she admits that Pearl's outfit is too small for her. There was also one point where her advice seemed contradictory to stuff from earlier cases, but I can't quite recall that right now. I felt she was helpful in this case, but I didn't feel overly helped out. Especially considering that she had the biggest psych-lock in the case, her helpfulness was definitely down played this time around. At least that's what I though.

Lotta: It was nice to see her again and I liked that she took over the role of your helper at sometimes. At least in the sense that you bounce ideas off of her. Chasing her around the manor was kind of funny too. I thought her lines were funnier this time around. Her interactions with Morgan were great too.

Judge: My favorite moment with him is a wrong evidence moment. Phoenix thinks: “Uh-oh. The judge’s face is scrunched up like he just smelled some serious bad breath…” Then the judge reveals that he forgot to brush his teeth that morning. Classic judge.

Gumshoe: From what we saw, he was the same old Gumshoe from before. Nothing wrong with that, of course.

The ending of the case didn't really phase me the first playthrough, but knowing what comes later, it had a different impact on me. Now I know Morgan really means business and will carry out her plan. Watch out.

Nothing really ship worthy from this case for me. I was never a big Phoenix/Maya fan, so Pearly's cheer leading didn't do it for me.
