It's not that I hate him- he's not meant to be hated at all. I just think he whines alot. That I dont' like. Miles is way lower than my top 5 fav Ace Attorney guys. I guess his character type just doesn't appeal to me ^^;

He seems kind of....Obnoxious sometimes and he looks like a gorillia in the courtroom when he gets angry/shocked.

I have been mauled and beaten by crouton, but I can STILL SAY IT.
He was an okay character, and, even though everyone thinks he's attractive, I don't.
It strikes me that he was only there for character development, and to give Nick an "interesting" rival.
But I just thought he was a gay emo dude with a weird wardrobe.
I HATE EDGEWORTH TO DEATH.
I just lost interest, but, this is still an awesome site.
I'll live on through my sprites, I hope. And my major contributions to the Max fanclub. ^_^

No, really, I don't hate any character in any game. Really. Even Dahlia. She curls my toes in excitement of how twisted she is. Damon Gant was my top fav character in the PW universe till Godot came along. I like characters with STRONG personality.
Edgeworth's strength is mostly in the court room. After that, he doesn't feel as arrogant as other characters are, and his weaknesses are pretty girly. About the only thing about him that actually appeals to me is his soft spot. IT think that's why the fan girls really squee over him, but really, Phoenix is a MUCH kinder person. It's the bishie silver hair. It bellows the chords of steel from the screaming fangirls for miles.
It also doesn't help that I find it hard to write him. It's not cause he's complex, but cause his character tries to cover so many bases but isn't powerful in any of them. He's eye candy, but frankly, Hotti appeals more character wise to me than Edgeworth does (I seriously crack up every time someone goes to Hotti's clinic. That pervert is pure gold entertainment wise XD )

I'm not about to jump off a bridge cause I dislike him. The people that should jump off bridges are people that need to relax and remember that these are fictional characters that are in a fictional setting leading fictional lives. It's perfectly fine to me to be very passionate about a character, but I disagree with people that strongly love a character SO much that they'd wish something bad on another if they don't like them.Twilight for instance. I wouldn't care about the book at all if it weren't for the violent fangirls that will actually go as far as doing SERIOUS damage to you if you don't like Edward Cullen. Edgeworth is the same. I don't hate him. Heck- I'm currently RPing in a game where I'm Phoenix and I'm hitting on the guy (OK- I'm guilty of an extremely open mind ^^; I don't care if any character is gay or straight), but I SEVERELY dislike people forcing me into loving him, or threatening me for not liking him. It's a personal choice if you like a character or not. Not an obligation.

The only thing I can think of is because he gets so much attention, in game and out of game. It would make sense to dislike him for that reason.

That's one of the things I definitely love about him. He goes from thinking perfection is everything to understanding that perfection is impossible. He's always learning and changing and offering a helping hand, instead of being stagnant and whiny and moving on only when he's worn out his welcome. And he'll only angst about a truly traumatic event instead of something like... having a glittering body.
Not that you don't sparkle, Edgeworth, you shining star, you.
