So, I'm replaying AA1, and one thing that stuck out in my mind this time around was the film poster on the Wright and Co. wall.

I haven't seen a thread about this anywhere else, so I was wondering, does anyone have any thoughts about what it might be? I know there's some dialogue about it in the later games, but I can't remember all of it. I spent ages staring at it, trying to figure out if it was concept art form the game or not?

I know it's the first film that made Mia cry, so I imagined it as a romance, and maybe she went to see it with Diego. Anyway, I don't know why, but I've always wondered about little things like that in the series. So does anyone have any theories about it, or just ideas? :adrian:

AskAceAttorney originated a headcanon that Godot's ringtone (and as a result, theme) is from that movie, which I myself adopted.
I think it got replaced with a Steel Samurai poster later on, though.

All I really see is some crowd, though.

I think the description changes based on the game, and possibly the case. I remember the line about making Mia cry, but I think at one point it's also a Steel Samurai poster...

Yeah, I think Maya replaces it with a Steel Samurai poster at one point. My memory is foggy, but I want to say she does it in 1-4. If not, definitely in the second game.

On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

At first it's a movie poster
then Maya changes it to a steel samurai one
Later Maya sees the movie and puts the original poster back up.

Cute thread.

Uh, for some reason, I've always thought the poster was about a Cowboy movie, which is weird, since there isn't anything in the game implying that. Maybe it's more reasonable to assume it was about a romantic or tragic movie, after all.

In 1-3, when you're with Mia being channeled, you can examine the poster. Phoenix asks Mia the name of the film, but it slipped her memory. This is also the first time Phoenix learns Charley's name.

In 4-4, examining the poster will reveal the Phoenix saw the movie and cried, but once again, he can't recall the name.

I love AAA, that's the best ask blog on tumblr.

But I always thought that the movie was very good the first time someone saw it, but it wasn't memorable enough for a second viewing.

As to why there's a poster but the title isn't there, I haven't the foggiest.

Ah no, that's a completely different kind of cry. Mia's film would probably be more bittersweet than outright heart-wrenching. I couldn't last ten minutes through Grave of the Fireflies. :larry:
