Because we don't have enough of these already...

I'm surprised that we don't have a fan thread for either of them. After all..

Spoiler:
Neil is a good enough prosecutor to become KOP against competetors such as von Karma and Edgeworth

Plus they're cowboys for cryin' out loud (and not the country music kind. Real cowboys.)

If they ever made a game with Mia as the protagonist, I would love to face off against Neil in court.

Is it okay if the pics are of Jake with someone else, or Niel with someone else?
I have a cool picture of Diego and Niel somewhere, and I drew some crack art of Jake and Iris :P (based on cosplay)

otherwise, I'll just go back to lurking ^^
I love these characters, though. Bah @ Niel being dead. -_-

Only Lunaria can speak. Lunaria's from Texas. Y'all do realize that, right? I mean, one a' you's from North Carolina, the other's from Ontario, and I don't know where the OP is from.

But, I digress. The Marshalls're worthy of the title of Honorary Texan if'n you ask me.

I think they are worthy too. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here. The Marshall brothers' portrayal in the games is one of the best Texan parodies I have seen in a while. I'd love to hear what their put-on accents sound like.

Also, I don't mind if pics are with other characters too. As long as one Marshall brother is in them, it won't count as image spam. That's just the mod in me talking. I'm not sure how others feel about it.

Edited for failed spelling and grammar. Go me!

Funny you should mention that. I'm actually currently working on a fanmade case which chronicles some of Mia's early trials and the only prosecutor I could think to use was Neil. Lana crossed my mind, but I couldn't find Lana court sprites. Someone did however create Neil sprites and they won the sprite tournament.

Best characters in the series.

Jake is so badass that he makes Godot look like Jean Armstrong.

So, here's my question: Jake and Neil are "Texan" and Godot is Mexican. Does that mean they'd be friends, as in the old west or enemies, as in now? :udgy:

I'm so tempted to use my Texan dialect in type right now.

Who says Godot was not born in another Latin American country?

If that would be true and based on how much I know about the Mexican-American war back in the 1800's where the U.S. got Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico and parts of Nevada, Colorado and Utah, then the Marshall brothers would defend their state if Godot would say/do anything to piss them off or make any negative comments regarding Texas.

Oh, the Marshall brothers...I do love them! :will: Hmm, does anyone know if there's a pic of all the prosecutors together, Edgey, Lana, and Neil from Phoenix's district? Does Payne count too? I was never sure. Do you think Neil does the Texas references too, or do you think that's exclusive to Jake?

Hmm...the brothers would make a great good cop/bad cop duo too. Personally, I can see Neil playing good cop while Jake goes on about Texas justice.

Oooh! Marshallcest! Yum!

One of the truly saddest Ace Attorney fanarts I've ever seen. Lana must have been so sad when she was at the service along with Jake.

Who says Godot was not born in another Latin American country?

He's in LA in canon. He was probably born in LA, but his parents were likely from Mexico, due to the sheer proximity of the two. Look also at his age and it matches an anchor baby boom. Most likely, his parents illegally immigrated to California from Mexico, where his mother gave birth to him and federal law prevented them from being extradited.

This is where you're wrong. Texas joined the US by treaty in 1845. At that time, much of New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Colorado were part of Texas, as the US, Texas, France, and Britain recognized. Mexico, however, recognized Texas as a small bit of land between the Colorado River and the Trinity, as I recall. Well, some Mexican soldiers were stationed on the Texas side of the Rio Grande and this was illegal. A war crime, as it were. So, we went to war in 1846, kicked their ass, and paid them $15 million to get the rest of their territory above the current Mexican border.

I doubt Godot would dis Texas. It's not really beneficial to him to do so.

However, I fear the Marshalls would dislike him.

Sign me up for the fan club.

Though really just for Jake

:marhsal: It's kinda hard to be the fan of someone who we barely get much information on what he was like as a person like Neil.

That said I love the objection pose art of him up there. Especially the "bang" :garyuu:

Well we know a few things.

A. Jake referred to him as having the brains of the two brothers (this is backed up by the fact that he is able to recieve the King Of Prosecutors award).

B. He, like his brother, is a cowboy.

C. He is a great in close quarters combat.

Yeah...i kept thinking they were in a relationship too...just for some odd reason.
And everytime his theme comes on i just listen too it for a while.(I even have it as a ringtone on my Phone :jake: )
And i really like Jakes character, its fun to pretend to be him with my little sister. He's sweet and seems to love his Brother.

It's too bad Jake didn't show up at least 1 more time in GS2-4. Definitely one of the best "single case" characters. And no doubt one of only a couple of characters who like country music (beleive it or not the other character that IMO might be into country is :chinami: ).

Aw' screw it. Might as well post this here :godot: :

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or if that's genuine.

Either way, I don't expect a Canadian to be well-versed in US, Texas, and Mexican history... Just like I don't know shit about what snow looks like...

Anyway, Neil and Lana were definitely together. That's part 2 of why she turned her back on Ema. She felt the need to protect her only family, but thinking she killed someone, and that someone was her lover, forced her to think of her as a killer. She didn't know what to think and that's why Gant was so successful.

The Detective That Came From The Wild West is right there with Investigation ~ Cornered 2001 and The Fragrance Of Dark Coffee on my favorites.

(Although... my heart will always belong to a certain prosecutor in pink xD)
