Gant enters the Police Department Evidence Room with Officer Goodman at 4:20, and around that time, kills him. Gant calls over Edgeworth from the Prosecutor's Office to retrieve irrelevant evidence and plants the body in his car. Edgeworth drives back to the Prosecutor's Office. He arrives at 5:12 and Lana's "murder" occurs at 5:15.
Now.
I believe sometime during the second day of the trial, Ema mentions that the Prosecutor's Office and the Police Department are 30 minutes apart by car.
So wouldn't that mean that it would be (more or less) impossible for Edgeworth to arrive before 5:20, in turn making it impossible for Lana to have "murdered" Goodman at 5:15?
So.
Am I reading too much into this or what?

Unless there was magically zero traffic, and Edgeworth took a quick shortcut... I don't know.

Murder occurred at 4:20. From then Gant had 20 minutes to clean up his mess and stuff Goodman into Edgeworth's car. Also he had to call Edgeworth. Still plenty of time.
4:40 Edgeworth enters the Evidence room (this is on the List actually). He takes the screwdriver evidence and leaves, very little time passes (it can't take long to get something then run out of the department). Probably about 2 minutes passed from entering the evidence room to leaving, maybe a bit more depending on how far the Evidence Room is from the entrance of the Police Department.
About 30 mintutes pass, Edgeworth arrives at the underground parking lot at 5:12, not much of a time discrepancy if you ask me.

Angel Starr initially calling Goodman a "greenhorn" when later on you find out he was the head investigator in SL-9. Was that supposed to be intentional?

Wasn't Egdeworth there already for the awards ceremony? So it is entirely possible.
