Found no thread like this one...
I'm sure everyone has attempted or even done a prediction for an AA game. So what was it? Was it about a piece of evidence, a person, something being said. Doesn't matter if you were right or wrong, tell us what it was.
It could be anything. Maybe you'll find someone who had the exact same thought as you.

And please no smart-ass remarks, like, "I totally knew the director/producer in 1-3 were guilty cause they didn't appear the first day!" cause goddammit, that was so fucking obvious to begin with, that doesn't count.

The Intro of 2-2

The first AA game I actually played myself - not just read a funny recap of the cases - was JFA, so I knew some things but not everything. And when I got to case 2-2 and watched the intro, I was a little bit confused. But the person sitting on the ground near the burning car looked familiar to me.
And when Maya told me that, while she was supposedly channeling, she had a dream, I had the following idea.

The person in that shot was Maya, witnessing the car crash of Mimi and Ini, with Mimi's "thoughts" going through her head.
Of course, I was wrong.

The Iris from 3-5 Investigations onwards

Somehow, as soon as the bridge was fixed and everybody rushed over to find Maya, I knew that the Iris walking around there was Maya channeling someone. Back then, I didn't know she was channeling Dahlia - just that she was channeling someone.

And I was right.

T&T about Iris and Dahlia. While investigating I jokingly thought "hey what if there was some twins involved? That would be nice if AA games made things even more complicated" then later in the game bam, twins. I wish it wouldn't happen so often, I always end up accidentally spoiling myself.

I had a slight suspicion as the case went on, but I had so hope that they wouldn't pull the Twin Plot. It's overused and really just plain stupid. Especially with Iris being the "Dahlia" that Phoenix actually dated for 6 months.

Elise is Misty Fey

Considering how T&T felt to me like a game solely to explain more about the Fey Clan, I somehow knew that Misty was going to show up in this game at some point. So when Elise was on the screen, I knew who she was instantly. No real evidence, nothing to really base it on, but I just knew that was Misty.

1-5
I theorized that Gant was really Neil Marshall in disguise. This one is the most stupid of my theories, thinking that after killing Darke, Marshall killed Gant who was trying to kill him, and somehow managed to change how he looks completely. Moving on...

3-2
I theorized that Dessie was really Mask DeMasque, as it explained her expensive tastes, and Mask DeMasque's gender wasn't mentioned for sure at that point. Needless to say, I was wrong, but it could come in handy for a fanfic.

AAI
I theorized fairly early in the game that either Lang or his assistant would be guilty of something during the game. This one I was right on the money with.

Sometime during the third game I thought that Godot was Manfred Von Karma xD

I have no idea why, he doesn't even look like him, never mind Von Karma being found guilty for murder. That has to be my weirdest prediction.

I can't remember any others :/

When I first saw Dahlia, I could've sworn her eyes looked slightly red-ish. It was probably the TV I was playing on making it look like that (yeah I have the WiiWare version). That's when I thought "Is she a demon?" Hooooooo boy was I right! :chinami:

During 2-2, as soon as Hotti said "facial surgery", I already figured "Ini Miney" out.

However, Phoenix (as expected) did not.

Ditto on this.
The term "facial surgery" and especially when it was mentioned that she "luckily had a picture of herself on her", it was pretty obvious. Not that it stopped me from getting penialized, saying Ini drove that night

2-2 - Before the channeling, I was poking around the chamber. I looked behind the folding screen, and Phoenix said something like "I hope nobody's hiding back there." I immediately knew after the murder that there was a 3rd person, and if it wasn't Morgan, Lotta, or Pearl, that leaves Ini.

3-5 - I really, really thought Phoenix was gonna break the trick locks with the Magatama. It still sorta baffles me that it wasn't the solution.

I don't really wanna remember the Trick Lock discussion that was going on for pages and pages in the Cough Up thread, whether they were mystical or proper physical manifestations..... but I'm pretty sure those Trick Locks are real things.
They were locking a door, not sealing a secret that was in anybody's heart.
So the Magatama would be useless.

Yeah, I know it now, since they were opened by whatever means. I just don't get why they'd put real life psyche locks in the game, and not unlock them in a cool way like the magatama, or anything more important than Iris/Dahlia and Bikini opening them with some unknown means off-screen.

I kind of figrued that the Trick Locks were kind of, like, they had this wheel-digit-roulette thingy in the back. Kind of like a bicycle lock or a PIN lock on mobies and stuff. And you just go through all possible digit combinations until you got the right one...

Matt Engarde being the murderer... sort of. I really thought something was off with him so... I had this nagging feeling he wasn't near innocent.

There are some cases that I predicted the killer the instant I saw them, not counting the ones where it shows you the killer at the beginning. Those cases were 1-3, 1-5, 2-4, 3-2, 3-3, 3-4, 4-3, and 5-3.

The killers in 1-5, 4-3 and 5-3, among other things. The worst one was the channeling of Dahlia during 3-5. The moment she appeared, I asked myself: 'who's channeling her?' Only one person could have, of course; consequently, the remainder of that portion was very annoying to me the first time I played it.

I predicted who the killer would be in 5-3, which was the only case in that game where neither A) the game already put who the killer was at the beginning, or B) I was spoiled by the Ace Attorney Wiki.

I wasn't the only one, huh? I thought Lang was behind the kidnapping in the first place.

I thought he could somehow manipulate magatama, or something of that sort.

I also thought that Elise was Morgan in disguise, after escaping prison. xD

I feel like I have a lot of those moments in PWAA, but maybe they are just obvious.

The only one I can think of now is the fact that Maya was channeling Dahila in court.
But maybe that was obvious, because process of elimination. :ron:
I also thought the parrot would end up testifying.

But my wrong ones? Jeez.
Oh...
Now that I think about it... :payne:
I though in the first game that the kid was going to end up being the murderer.... (Cody Hackins, from the Steel Samurai case)

Didn't Mia also flat-out say in her blue-thoughts-or-whispers-not-sure-cause-sometimes-people-respond-to-them that it was time to finish whatever she had started with Dahlia?

I'm not sure I mentioned this in a post in this thread yet...

Case 4-3, at some point, I was just staring at Thalassa, saw she had brown hair and said, "OmG, she's Trucy's mom." and since I kinda spoiled-knew that Apollo and Trucy were half-siblings, that she'd be Apollo's mother, too.

That reminds me; I checked Lamiroir's page on Ace Attorney wiki while playing 4-3, and upon seeing the heading "Early life and children" I quickly clicked away without reading any further, but in vain; I had already put the pieces together myself (I also knew about Apollo and Trucy before playing the game).

Maybe this one is more obvious than some others but:

Spoiler:
In case 5-5 I spotted the pieces of the moon rock long before Phoenix did. Ok, on second thoughts that one was too obvious XD

I predicted who the killer was correctly in nearly every case in the series. The only exceptions were 1-4, (I thought it was Lotta), 2-2, (I thought it was a possessed Maya), and 4-1 (I thought it was Olga). Literally every other case in the series I knew who the killer was from the moment they were introduced.

1-4: Knew it was the old man. Didn't guess von Karma
2-4: I actually thought it was Adrian
4-1: Thought it was Olga
4-4: Kristoph was my first guess, but it took me a while to get there. I didn't suspect before him, though
5-DLC: Thought it was Crab
5-5: Thought the Phantom was Clay and that Aura/Athena killed him for revenge
AAI-3: Thought it was Lang (yes, I'm not kidding. When I got the option to choose someone, I chose him. The typical rule of AA for me is that if they have a voiced interjection, they're going to be the killer at some point, with the exception of a few Prosecutors, just so you can have an Objection! battle. So, I guessed Lang. I'm not a smart man. But hey, the game was making it fishy that he was there)
AAI-4: Knew it was Calisto because she had a voiced interjection!
AAI-5: Thought it was Shih-na (though once it was clear that it wasn't, I did suspect Quercus)
Spoiler: AAI2
AAI2-1: Thought it was De Killer, then Hayami, then Ou
AAI2-2: Immediately knew it was Miwa because if it wasn't her, she would literally be the most forgettable character in the series
AAI2-3: Thought it was Oyashiki until they explained how the statute of limitations could be tolled. Then, I knew it was the only person who left the country
AAI2-5: Thought it was Bansai and then Tateyuki

Wait a second... statute of limitations? It was already weird when such a thing appeared in 2016, in GS1, because the statue of limitations has been abolished for a few years in Japan already. And if we're going by "AA takes place in Japanifornia", well, maybe I'm wrong but doesn't America also NOT have a statute of limitations?

Don't forget that the original GS was published in 2001, nine years before the statue of limitations was changed in Japan (and eight before they actually started talking about it, so it would be kinda hard to predict that change). I think they'll keep the statue of limitations as is in the GS universe unless their story really needs it to be changed.
