so post your most least favorite AA character and whydahlia hawthorne- I hated how damn evil she was and using her "good looks" to get away with crimes. Plus i hated the fact she used Terry Fawles into even committed suicide which i cried during that scene believing her till the bitter end

- She's too preppy, she acts like a kid with ADD at times and then gets sad because she's not a good Defense Aid, despite not being qualified for that position. I give her the benefit that she is portrayed as strong when she needs to be at the end of 3-5, but why do they have to talk like it's a big deal? Or why do her fans say, "OmG she is so awesome, being strong for Pearl's sake!" That is nothing special, that's just something you do.
- Just a Maya clone, replacing "Magic" with "Science". And you can't deny that she was an absolute clone of Maya's because even the case she appeared in made reference to it. She was a bit more grounded than Maya in 1-5, but she also was more depressed at times than Maya.And I will point out in AJ that she is pretty dumb. She failed the test of the thing she wanted to do? Considering her huge enthusiasm for it in 1-5, it seems impossible that she failed. And if she hates her Detective job so much, why doesn't she freaking quit it and re-take the test?
- Preppy clone with Stage Magic instead of Real Magic. She was cute as a kid, but otherwise... she grows up and is still preppy and seems pretty flat. In the final case, she finds out her father was killed and she doesn't seem to give a fuck about that. Girl, your father is dead! I know people complain about Regina not reacting but at least she did have the reaction of being happy because she can see him as a star again Say something about it, don't just stand there with a smile and wait for the trial to finish.

- Creepy, annoying, and the jokes revolving around him were not funny.
(AKA young Phoenix) - He's so different from his older self, and I really don't like his personality. Oh well.
(Both Godot and Diego) - I just don't find him interesting. I do find him irritating though. The only good thing about him is his theme song (the orchestrated version - the video game version is actually kind of irritating too).
- Not funny and an offensive stereotype. Also he's in one of the worst cases in AA history.
- Just an annoying witness. I don't like anything about this guy.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

One instance... I could've finished that case much earlier, had I been capable of telling Edgeworth to look at the stupid angle of the entrance and exit wound. He would've gotten to the right conclusion much earlier. And Little Thief would have been moot.

Right? Considering Ema had no purpose except a Cameo, they could've cut Kay out of the game and just made Ema give Edgeworth the Little Thief as a gift or something. That would've made Ema's appearance better than just a cameo for her fans' sakes. And keep Kay out of the game.

I also think that he's the prime example of the gay stereotype, which is a bad thing. I'm not going to debate homosexuality with you, but you should really not judge people just because of their sexual preference. Homosexuality has been observed in thousands of animal species, and we're no different. The only animal that actively condemns it is the human, and because of bigotry; that's the reason why gay people still can't get married in a lot of countries.
The media also has to stop using these stereotypes or have gay characters just for the sake of being gay. If a character is gay, fine; but don't make that their only defining trait or characteristic.

Oh well, since I'm here I might as well mention:
MISTY FREAKING FEY. Yes, I get they called her fraud. So what? That's no reason to abandon her village as well as her two daughters, especially when she knows she channeled Gregory. Even fifteen years later, when the man responsible publicly explains why she was considered a fraud, she still didn't return. And even when Maya's life was in danger, all she had to do was stop hiding, look out to her daughter, and tell her who she really is.

As much as I agree on his behavior being a gay stereotype, I don't think his appearance is. I mean, if you asked me what a gay stereotype would look like, I'd say a pretty lean figure and either tall, as the Seme, or semi-short, around Maya's height or up to 178 cms, for the Uke. And Jean is, well, supremely musclebound - in the arms. That somehow doesn't strike me as a gay stereotype...

Totally agree with this. Jean Armstrong is the thing that bothers me most of all in this series, and its because he's an offensive character that just reinforces stereotypes. He's probably one of the most stereotypical characters I've ever seen in a video game, and I find it very irksome that the developers didn't think about how offensive it could be taken as. The conversations where people are always wondering "is he a woman or a man" or where he is constantly flirting with everyone are all really stereotypical and not very realistic. I would hate for some jerk to play T&T then start bullying a gay kid in his school because he thinks he's like Jean Armstrong, who is obviously not even attempting to be an accurate portrayal of a gay person and is instead just a homophobic creation based on stereotypes.
I don't hate Oldbag, but I've never loved her and I'm very tired of her. And she's also somewhat homophobic, although perhaps inadvertently (See my topic in the GS2 Section). I think she's a situation of them bringing a character back too many times.

I agree. If they want to make Godot out to be a tragic hero, don't make him wake up at a point where Dahlia was still alive and he could've mocked her for failing to really kill him, getting his 'revenge' that way. Instead, they made him cling to his past and whine about it and not think of somehow moving on, being a dick - although everybody in the AA-verse is a dick - and blaming Wright for something that isn't his fault in any way... he should be blaming Maya, after all! She was the one who was supposed to be there by 9 PM!

I think you're kind of contradicting yourself here...
I don't like Kay Faraday either. I think she's one of the flattest main characters in the series. Ever wonder why she's not in much fanfiction? There's nothing interesting about her and she's borderline Mary-Sue. There's no potential for her. She's just kind of...there.
I agree that Godot was a dick but I didn't hate him. He was a good character and his asshole-ness was just part of his characterization. I don't think anyone was excusing it.

So... Maya being strong after witnessing her mother being killed is no big deal and 'just something you do' (?) but then Trucy being strong is wrong because it's unrealistic not to have a reaction? I think you're kind of contradicting yourself here...
My problem with Trucy is that she doesn't even seem to acknowledge that her father is dead.

Then Maya AND Phoenix need to learn the idea of being somewhere early. I'm not saying they need to be there 30 minutes prior to the meeting time, but being there less than 5 minutes before the supposed meeting time is cutting it pretty close. After all, what if a train had been running late or something?
And White is an idiot for cutting it that close, too. He should have been there long before Maya were to arrive. After all, he couldn't predict that Maya would be "late" (or be there exactly at 9, although considering the timing of Phoenix' appearance and April's scream, Maya was late, too) and being there pretty much at the time when Maya was supposed to be there was like ASKING to be found out.
And once again I have pointed out how stupid the AA games are when it comes to criminals...

Seriously though, I don't really dislike many characters except for Wocky Kitaki and Naruhobo, and I only have something against the latter because there was absolutely no reason for Phoenix of all people to become so cryptic. I wouldn't have minded him otherwise.
I do think CatMuto brings up a good point regarding Trucy, however. Not only doesn't she seem to mind changing 'daddies' in the blink of an eye, but when one of them ends up dead she barely reacts. But that doesn't make me dislike her, it just creeps me out.

I just found her characterisation to be boring for some reason, and I rolled my eyes so much at Mr. Hat. Apollo was okay funny in his own game, if a little immature sometimes, but Trucy's back and forth with Apollo was bad IMO. Dunno, she's just not a likeable character in my book.

I went 'oh come on' at his reason for acting like a dick/failed attempt at saving Maya.
I thought that was the general opinion.

I admit that Godot's theme is really neat to listen to, it's a nice jazz-theme.
But I just don't think liking someone's theme is enough to overlook the things about them that I dislike. I still dislike Godot's reason, I hate that he wallows in his misery, his coffee phrases get annoying and I just wanna pour that black like the depths of hell liquid into his visor...
