What Handedness are all the characters?
AJ Characters included.

I always Saw Phoenix as Left Handed, Franziska as Ambidextrous and Miles as Right Handed.

What do you guys think?

Of course Franziska is ambidextrous - only fools stick with one hand when instad of using both.

Klavi plays the guitar left-handed at least...

According to Shigaraki's writing sprite, he's right-handed.

I like the Franziska-headcanon as well. I was going to say that Klavier was left-handed on a whim, but after reading what Going for Miles said, it feels less like a whim. And Kristoph is right-handed. Adrian is ambidextrous. Simon is right handed. Godot too. Both Ron and Dessie are left-handed, a nice little coincidence. Trucy is as well. I don't even know why I see it that way but but. These are my thoughts.

What I did was I took sprites of the chracters holding something, whichever hand they hold it in, That's their handedness. At least to me, it is.

I saw it as unreliable to take just any sprite, because as humans, we make gestures with both hands.

That was my conclusion, too.

Godot is Right Handed, obviously.

But with my method, It makes characters who DON'T hold things hard for me to decide.

I'd also say that Lana is Right handed, but it's a stretch. I'm just saying that because she bites the thumb of her right hand.

It's confirmed in 1-2 that Mia is right-handed. It seems not all defense attorneys need to be left-handed.

I really can't see Phoenix as a leftie, actually. (Due in part to my headcanon that Takumi built him in his own image) We see him point with either arm in the various official arts, so the way he points isn't really specific.

The judge is without a doubt right-handed. Always has his gavel in his right hand.

Not that it means anything because everyone is different, but I bit my thumb on a whim to see which one I'd choose and my mouth went to my left one immediatly. (I'm right-handed.) I don't even know why I'm saying this, since you already said it was a stretch.

The whole thing isn't 100% but it's basically the only thing we have to go on. I, for example, always hold my mugs in my right hand even though I'm left-handed. Wasn't a victim specifically left-handed, though? Dustin Prince, or...? Romein LeTouse wrote in blood with his right hand, though. Ema writes with her right hand. Jake shaves with his left.

I think the reason DA's tend to be left-handed is because if they were right-handed, the movements of the arms would block our view of the sprites. Even Mia, who is canonically right-handed, points her left index. And Phoenix uses his right arm in 4-1 because as a co-counsel, is the arm behind his body. That's also why most prosecutors use preferentially their right arms. Edgeworth even changed his dominant hand for AAI.

You thought I was talking pointing sprites? If we were going by that, I wouldn't have Said miles is right handed, or that franziska is ambidextrous.
Unless you're suggesting that Phoenix holds paper in his non dominant hand?

Also. Saying the judge is Right handed for holding the Gavel in that hand but denying my theory that Phoenix is Left handed is kind of hypocritical.

Uh, yeah. Franziska is obviously ambidextrous. What's wrong with holding paper in his non-dominant hand? A right-handed person can pick up papers with their left all the time.

How? I'm saying one thing goes for one guy and another thing goes for another guy. Granted, whichever side a judge slams his gavel doesn't really tell us if he is a leftie or a righty, but then again, we wouldn't have any way to know for sure.

I guess Victor Kudo is right-handed (gotta throw seeds at people with your best hand, right?).

Spark Brushel is clearly right-handed and Vera Misham the opposite of that.

I'm thinking Edgeworth is likely ambidextrous or ambisinestrous. He changes which hand he uses depending on which side of the room he's on based on his own concept of aesthetic appeal.

Yeah, defense attorneys point left handed so we can see their front, while some prosecutors point with their right hand.

As much as I want to say Phoenix is Wright handed, he is clearly left handed. Everything he does - scratch his chin, hold paper, and drink coffee - are all with his left hand.

Apollo's dominant hand also appears to be his left. He even wears his bracelet on his left hand.

Athena points left handed but interacts with Widget's screen with her right hand.

Franziska gestures and holds her whip in her left hand, which leads to her back being shown when she does this:

With the exception of his laughing animation, Blackquill's dominant hand is his right.

But does everything else with the right hand. Unless he's on the other side of the room. Probably the most trustworthy sprites are the front-facing ones.

Klavier points and snaps with his right hand but air guitars with his left. Yet in Dual Destinies, he plays right handed.

Adrian holds book and card in left hand, and puts on her glasses with it as well.

Matt talks with the phone to his right ear, and holds his glass with his left hand. Ambidextrous?

Right-handed people tend to wear watches on their left hand from what I've seen.
I'm right handed though and I wear mine on the right.
But he's probably gotten used to using both hands, one to dial, one to drink.

I also believe he's a guy into method acting so he probably learnt in order to act left handed characters out naturally :matt:
For instance. The Nickel samurai is left handed because his right arm is robotic and holds his spear in his left. (See below)

He points with both technically in T&T when
Spoiler: 3-5
he's at the defenses bench

and then right when back at prosecutors (not in T&T but in all of the others). That's why I've seen people call him ambidextrous in the past.

In other news, I'm gonna go ahead and say the Bellboy is right handed for holding/balancing the tea set in his right hand.

Hmm, never really thought of it that way. I always figured he was using his right hand to cup his ear like how some people do when on phones to have only one ear tuning into the sound. Figured he was using an earpiece
or a speaker from the left watch. He strikes me as that guy that talks on speaker phone loudly in
the most obnoxious of places. Probably ordering pizza, bothering Adrian or complaning about juan. :-P

But if that right one isn't for aesthetic symmetry then that REALLY doesn't look like a comfortable position to hold!

He still dials with his right though, which is the hand I'd choose to dial with as a right-handed person.

Hm. Hmmmmm. Yeah, that sounds legit. But either way, it results in the assumption that he's right handed. Except that he holds his glass in the left. So I'll still claim he's ambidextrous and that he showed off that to Juan as another sign of his superior talent in life.

Oh yeah, totally. If there was something Juan had (like being left handed) that Matt didn't. Matt would definitely want to flaunt being ambidextrous. Whether self-taught or natural, he'd find a way.
