But first, an explanation of things.

Wet: This kind of character is generally a level-headed person. They operate smoothly, and are rarely ever taken by surprise unless it's a very unique occasion. They remain cool under pressure, and are able to easily flow through even the most difficult of situations. When backed into tight spots, they stop to analyze possible ways out from all different perspectives before finding the right one and getting back to where they were.

Salty: Salty characters are usually hot-headed and quick to jump the gun. They can be bitter or too strict with themselves, and are sometimes seen as the kill-joy of the group. They dwell too much on the negatives of a situation before noticing, or not noticing, the positives and may jump to conclusions (whether the worst or the best) too fast. They are determined and hardworking, and tend to not rest until their jobs are complete and done well.

Glazed: These kinds of characters are cheerful and easily excitable. They are outgoing and warm up to people fast. They stick around the people they knew the longest and consider them family. This character may or may not have a tragic background that contributes to their happy-go-lucky personality. They try to see the fun in situations and never seem to run out of energy. Other characters are usually worn out by them, but enjoy having their company. They will fake a smile so others don't worry, but you know the situation is bad or something has gone horribly wrong when this kind of character is depressed. However, they are quick to recover and go back to cheering themselves and other people up once the problem is resolved.

So, which characters fit under which category? Keep in mind, that some may fall under different ones, or all three at the same time, depending on their character development and past history. The same can be applied to villains as well.

Quite a few villain characters fit in the wet yet salty category. And sometimes, they can get very salty. Especially if a defense attorney rigged an entire trial just to catch him.

I keep thinking I should add a disclaimer regarding the terms

I'd like to bring the Bellboy into things. Is his personality enough to fit under one of these categories? He strikes me as...a little bit of glazed and a little bit of wet.

I apollogize my straightforwardness, but my goodness Bramimond, this kinda makes me love you. Amazing. :gant:

Maya and Trucy and Shigaraki are glazed. Edgeworth and Klavi an Phoenix are wet... Apollo and Daryan are salty. Godot is salty I think, but tries to look all cool and wet. That's what I can come up with for now...

Apollo is salty, though I say he has a little bit of glazed thrown into the mix as well.

The game never revealed much on what he was like before UR-1. From what Athena said of him though, I think he has traits from all three

Just to go all meta and stuck-in-a-dream-loopish on myself, I just gotta say:

Hershel Layton is wet.

And Simba from the Lion king is definitely salty.

Yes. Go meta in a meta-thread. Just do it. Go full meta. Soon it will become self-aware as well, the thread. Break the fourth wall.

This entire thread is because of the confetti.

Oh, and how can we forget the most glazed of them all? Brush- er, I mean Pearly, of course. Yes.

...Brushel is quite salty, now that I think about it, and he even uses his tie to wrap him up like a baguette.

Yes, Pearl!

And, uh... he's... salty in... ach. Yes.

Trucy, she must be glazed too, no?

I'd say that each character has their moment of switching between categories.

As for Trucy, yes I think she fits the glazed character perfectly.

I think Salty, Wet and Glazed should be the new established personality types. ("Salty, wet and glazed" sounds like the tagline for a waterproof sunblock)

Eldoon is, of course, salty. :edgey:

Glazed+Salty: Pearl Fey, Morgan Fey...
Glazed: Maya Fey
Salty: Miles Edgeworth, Guy Eldoon
Wet: Nick (Phoenix Wright)

...This is my first try, and I know if they're precisely right or wrong, so... any objections? :yogi:

I do long for the day when a person can introduce oneself with "hello, I'm X and I'm salty with a hint of glaze", and get a reply like "hello, X, I'm Y and I'm completely wet - I had some salty traits during my younger years, though". (Well, one could do that now as well, but it would probably lead to some confused stares and raised eyebrows.)

I'd say Guy Eldoon had some traits of wet in doctor mode. and Nick is a bit of a tough cookie since i don't think he really fits any of the 3 that well.
He is easily caught off guard, doesn't really remain cool under pressure but he does try to look like he does and is rather impulsive at times. But out of the 3 he does fit into wet the most. He is definitely wet in Apollo Justice though. :hobohodo:

Yanni Yogi is a wet character and his boat rental pasta shop is called "The wet noodle".
Guy Eldoon is a salty character and he's famous for his salty noodles.

Coincidence? I think not! :object:

Now all we need is someone specializing in glazed noodles...
