Post subject:  What do you users want in a fan case maker?
I know it may not seem lke I am making any real progress, but with my tight schedule I fit what ever work I can do in.

What I need to know from all of you is this.
What do you want in a fancase maker? I already have an idea of HOW I will do it, but I need to know what features everyone wants so I can prioritize them, then have them ready for a Alpha 1 Release. Until know I've been working on the core of the tool, which isn't the best of ideas. I need to work on features.

So its up to all of you. You decide what needs to be done for Alpha 1. Keep in mind, the more the features, the longer it will take.

If you had a casemaker that could present evidence during a trial (if nothing else) I think people would be pretty happy - it would fill in the gap left by Mechabowser's one and people could use the two together to make a complete case, courtroom and investigation phases an' all.

* List of choices, like in PWAA case 1 where you have to select Cindy Stone's name.
* Evidence and profiles.
* Presenting evidence.

That's are pretty much all I need from a case maker. But of course, the below things would be handy:

* Cross-Examination
* Investigation
* Imagemap thing, where you make different things happen depending on which area you click on. (Like where you point out the contradiction in a picture, but you could turn the pointer off so you could make a custom GUI.)
* :zenitora: NOT MADE WITH MULTIMEDIA FUSION!!!

Those Ideas are already in my plan. I'm trying to figure out how to rank them is all.
Right now I am working on a website, and then comes actual work on the tool.

Basically, it should be able to do everything a Phoenix Wright game can do (except Case 1-5 stuff)

Actually, Case 1-5 is planned. Not for initial release, but it will be added. As for a Site, I need a place to host betas, add updates and show off my stuff :p

So wait...You plan to add fingerprint testing, blood testing, and 3-D evidence? That's a very tall order, and not one that I'm sure is necessary.

Work on the tool, not website. Pointless having a website for a tool that never gets finished. Besides, what are you creating the website in? Because I believe I could probably design a nice one for you.

As for some place to host crap, Fileden works pretty well for me.

I see. As far as the tool goes, I've gotten a bit more done since last time:
3D Is aslmost complete.
PEC File Format is near perfect.
Visual Editing system is being rehauled.
And much more.

@Bloodtesting: That was a feature? Well, I don't think that is too high of a priority. 3D Evidence is what I meant by 1-5 stuff.

Good, because lysol spraying and fingerprint testing, while fun, isn't needed, and if you even plan on it, should be at the bottom of the priority list. At the top should be presenting evidence, profiles and presenting profiles, cross-examinations--you know, the important stuff that 2.1 didn't have. You know, you should also have whatever 2.1 already had.

Also, how will the 3-D evidence work? It seems like it'd be hard to make something like that.

EDIT: Oh, and I still think the site should come later. After all, no matter how strong you think your resolve might be, it could waiver, and then that's a lot of wasted time. Besides, DDRKhat offered to make one for you, so huzzah on that.

Twice I had a few nice projects on the make, one for MechaBowser, then a second time when I managed to contact Shane. I have alot of source files bashing about that I can make into a decent website. I realize reading now my post may have been a little harsh so I do apologize, but I want you to have a working case-maker before you plan on presenting it, It's just a little silly to be honest. IF you need a beta tester for your maker when it gets to a point, hit me up on an instant messenger or PM me, alright? We can organize something.
