Dunno if this one was ever brought up, but I thought I'd share a lesser-known Phoenix Wright doujin album. It's by the Japanese group Vanilla Essence, and it's essentially a recorder-specific arrangement. It's rather minimalist and very short in length, weighing in at just about ten minutes -- but there's also a cute vocal rendition of the Turnabout Sisters Theme included:

Image

1. Examination 2001 (GS1) (2:18)
2. Turnabout Sisters Theme (2:23)
3. Jingle ~ It Can't End Here (GS1) (0:10)
4. Trés Bien (GS3) (1:03)
5. Tenryuusai Elise ~ Gentle Melody (GS3) (2:16)
6. Turnabout Sisters Theme (Vocal Version) (1:43)

Enjoy! ^_^

wow I remember when I used to play one of these...

Anyway these sound really great!
Too bad they couldn't have been a bit longer and have more tracks but oh well!

Ah, nice. It's short, but sweet. I really like how they interpreted vocals in Turnabout Sisters. Very nice lyrics.

So this is where that image was from. I got it a long time ago but I thought it was just fanart. Thanks, Angela!

I thought the cadenza album was pretty rock-ish D8

Thanks for bringing it up, anyway... the "official Meeting" albums are two, right? Gyakuten Meets Jazz Soul / Meets Orchestra, i think. Or are there other albums?

It clocks it at 14.9 MB. I'll give this a listen; wouldn't mind the tracks being longer, but meh, what you gonna do :D

This album is so cute! I don't know that I'd listen to it in the car or on my iPod or anything, but nonetheless cute.
I especially loved the vocal version of the Sisters' theme, just because I love vocal themes. :maya:
So I did my best to transliterate/translate it. It may or may not be perfectly accurate, since I had to do it by ear, but its a pretty simple song.

"Arigatou" kimi ni deaeta
Tabidachi no asa ga kita ne
Waratteru kimi no tsuyosa wo
Boku mo kitto teniireru kara

Zutto kimi to ita ne dakara
Kizuiteita yo
Kono mama yukunda ne furimukazu ni

"Arigatou" kimi ga ita kara
Saigo ni wa iitakatanda
Shijite de kimi no yowasa mo
Boku ga kitto mamoru itsudemo...

Thank you for meeting me
Though I'm leaving in the morning
Your laughter is your strength
I'm sure I'll get that from you

Because you were always there with me
This is painful for me
As it is, I'm turning away

Thank you for being there
This will be the end
But I believe in you, even your weaknesses
And I'm sure I'll always protect you

Of course it's not official; I did state it was a "doujin album" after all. ;)

I only regret that some of the tracks contain sound artifacts like pops and hisses. Rest assured that this isn't due to the rip quality, just the way the CD itself was recorded. (I played and tried ripping it on several different players to verify exactly that.)
