I was going to say that, but... I think on the second round the first one of each group faces the second, so if he passes he still would have to face Link (and being reallistic, he has no chances of winning against that rival...).

Even if we got every single person on these forums and all of the GameFAQs Ace Attorney regulars to vote for Phoenix, it probably wouldn't amount for more than 5%, if even that much. Of course, that's if each of those members get several votes in via different ips, for otherwise it would be even lower.
There's some long-running joke about how Bidoof is supposedly the greatest Pokémon ever, and that all others are instantly inferior to it or something like that. It has something to do with it being the first beaver Pokémon, too, as I recall.
