I thought I'd make this topic after seeing Iban's video "Turnabout Sisters - The Alternative"
Spoiler:
it starts off like Turnabout Sisters, only Nick gets back and saves Maya and Redd White is arrested for attempted murder


What would have happened to the game if it had been like that? (A similar thought to the "What if Nick didn't defend Maya?" thread). Would Nick and Mia run the office together? Would Maya still be a prominent character (and the Maya know and love?)
I can't imagine it any other way than it is now. Somehow I see Phoenix being less sarcastic and witty under Mia because he's working under her (although theyre friends). He'd be a different person.
Or maybe Mia would still be alive but could hand the office to Maya still.
What do you think? :gant:
I think it'd be less interesting without the spirit medium stuff TBH.
Spoiler:
Because if Mia is still alive, the whole dynamic of Nick/Maya goes away and so does a large part of the story about her being a medium.

The game would be less interesting and I suppose that Phoenix and Maya wouldn't be so close. And other things:

Spoiler: Spoilers for all the games
- No 1-2. Or maybe Mia survived Redd's attack.
- Perhaps she would be Lana's lawyer in 1-5, because Ema wanted her to help her sister.
- Pearls would be less useful.
- T&T would be very different.
- No 3-5?
- Mia might would have continued her relationship with Diego after he woke up from his coma.
- :godot: / :mia: would be Pearl's new OTP xD.

I agree with you, I don't think Nick/Maya would be so close as they are, we wouldn't have Nick/Maya shippers and also it would be less dramatic.
The drama is really heightened if, when Nick thinks all is lost

. It wouldnt be nearly as good if it was just the real Mia appearing.

There'd probably be more of them though, and more "Want to discuss things.. over drinks?" type scenes in the game. Thus leading to speculation about whether theyre really just having drinks ;)
