features

format: A4
pages: ~800

Is this a mistake or what or am I just misinterpreting it somehow? :s I did have a skim through the forum and didn't see it discussed but sorry if it's a duplicate. :( 800 pages is huge.

It's huge, it would also probably contain ALOT of concept pictures, you would probably find un-used sprites and such drawn on these pages.

It's a book full of GS Art? Because I can't really tell, text is small. But if it's a book full of art, that would be cool. Like comics. Sort of.

It's a mistake. The artbook is made of two volumes, one for the first 3 games, one for 4. What I've heard is that the first one is 160 pages and the second 80 pages.

While we're on the topic of 'Art of Gyakuten Saiban', I'd like to ask - and possibly get an answer - what kind of art this book contains and if it contains art for all the Gyakuten Saiban characters. I'd like to know this before shelling out thirty bucks for something I don't want.

I would like to ask, why don't we get this awesome stuff in America? Just because Japan got there first doesn't mean they have to hoard all the best swag for themselves!!!

Because the majority of the American market doesn't show enough interest to buy such products. There are the few and far between enthusiasts but that's about it.

Supply and demand. The greater the demand, the bigger the supply. One of the most useful things you will learn in Economics.

Don't know yet. All we know for sure is that it covers all four games. But if you think of it one way...GS1-3 has about 60 characters total. If the artbook reprints most of the art + concept sketches we've already seen, and each character gets about 2 pages, that plus the ~26 Naruhodo Gyakuten illustrations would fill most of the book up. I doubt we'll see much of anything that hasn't been shown before.

I'm really interested to see how they fill up the GS4 one, though. In the guidebook the art only takes up about 30 pages, and I can think of maybe half a dozen other pieces of art that have appeared in scans and such. If the book's 80 pages, there might be a lot to see.

We'll just have to wait until it's out, I guess.
