I think in the first one she lives in the city but now with nick. Otherwise she wouldn't say at the end "I have to go back to my village to complete my training". I think in the second and third one she stays in
the village but every so often comes back to the city (like when she's working with nick) and in that time she stay's with nick.

And if she was back in the village, she 1) wouldn't be living by herself. Remember, the rest of the Fey clan's back there too, like Pearly and (at the time) Morgan.
2) She'd been using her cell phone before. If I remember right, Kurain is too far out to use cell phones at.
