So I'm not the only one who does that?
I crack my friend up with my versions of Will Powers, Morgan Fey, and Matt Engarde. Especially the last one.

Edit: I now have a snarky Godot voice. And a squeaky Ron Delite voice. And...of course...the most flamingly scary-French-gay Chef Armstrong voice EVER.

And I have a bad habit of prodding my forehead with two fingers when I'm stuck on something. A very bad habit of it. I even do it when I have my cousin's translation notes and I'm playing his import copy of GS4.

Whenever I am playing an AA game for the first time I HAVE to use the finger stylus and play with the volume up to hear the musics.

Also my boyfriend thinks it's weird to yell OBJECTION into the mic, lol.

Also I have a Cubone (the Pokemon) named Edgeworth. :D

I try to think about how they would sound in real life...

"simple" Matt Engarde, IMO, would sound like WWE Superstar Rob Van Dam... evil Engarde would sound like.... errr.... whoever voices Richard Wellington...?

Gumshoe would sound like John Goodman, IMO that's without question... although others would probably have different opinions.

I need the finger stylus D= Though has anyone seen the bidding wars for those things lately? $20 for a STYLUS?! No thank you..

I do my own voice overs too, sometimes I'm crazy enough to try to match them up with the insanely fast lip movement... which doesn't work xDD (I really want to be a voice actor for anime, so this is fun practice xD)

I also try to picture people whom I think would do great voice overs for the characters should it ever become an anime XDD That would be hillarious

And yes Gumshoe would totally sound like John Goodman XDD that is win.

I just get into arguments with the characters. Yes, I am mad, thank you very much.

Oh yeah I'll read the text aloud while playing, and try to do voices for everyone. Which is inevitably followed by weird looks from my parents or sisters who ask who I'm talking to, or if I could stop reading my game.

Meh, heck with them. :karma:

I did that too! Course... it was on my sister's phone since I don't have one. She had no clue what it was supposed to be. :keiko:

I tried to set the Steel Samurai theme as my ringtone, but it wouldn't send to my phone for some reason. I might try again with an altered sound file.

I also have long, drawn out arguments with the characters. You should have seen me during 2-4; gawd I was so pissed off at Phoenix for being such an emo-bitch towards Edgeworth.

I shout "OBJECTION!" at a Mic part (Phantom Hourglass) very strange...

I start ranting out loud sometimes about characters I don't like. So during 2-5, I was just sitting on my bed, playing, and suddenly I started screaming at Matt. I got a lot of weird looks then...xD. And I once spent an entire day playing through JFA because it was my first time through and I simply couldn't put it down. Not even the credits. xD

Well I love shouting out all the phrases. But I also tend to hum the tunes, and get into little arguments with the characters.

Uh, rituals... When I'm thinking hard, and I'm stuck at some point, I write the letter "J" on the top screen in a secret code I made up with a friend of mine :eh?: I DUNNO

I have a friend who licks the screen whenever Edgeworth shows up.

Whenever I give something to someone... I have a habit of saying "TAKE THAT!" sometimes.

Whenever I watch a law movie I sometimes shout out OBJECTION! :P

When I'm trying to catch up with someone, I yell "HOLD IT!"!

And I made a Mask*DeMaskque mask. :D (Sounds fun saying :P)

Besides all that, I pretty much talk about Phoenix Wright with my friends everyday. If one of my friends had never played it... they would pretty soon! :D

Well, since my friend sits over my shoulder when I play (no matter what) we do the weirdest stuff.

Richard Wellington sang showtunes instead of talked and we'd shout at Payne in unison (unisin? unisen? w/e).

And oh, was Matt fun. He screamed.

And that was only JFA. >D

I tend to say the following things when playing Phoenix Wright.

"YOU'RE SCREWED NOW."

~That's said at the end of almost every case, at the time when we all discover who the 'real' murderer was. As long as it's not in a serious mood...

Spoiler: Spoiler!
Like in Case 2-2 with Ini/Mimi.

"OH SHIT."

~The only exclamation I feel reflects the following moments in the series...

Spoiler: More spoilers!
1-4 - VON KARMA'S TASER. (another habit would be making tons of jokes out of that moment)

1-5 - Gant's 'lightning strike' sprite.
2-4 - Engarde's psyche lock. Do I have to say more?
3-1 - Dahlia's 'very pissed off' sprite. Burn, butterflies, burn.

Note to self: Get a signature here eventually.

Though I bet I'll be licking the screen whenever Kyouya shows up :kyouya:

Oh yes, and when I was playing the first case of T&T I was doing the voices of Mia and Dahlia out-loud xD I was being very very quiet, but my mom thought it was one of the dogs moaning O_o

My version is the very-UK-'70s-copshow phrase "You're going darrrrn, you slaaaaaggg!" I especially enjoyed using that one at the end of 1:5 and 2:4.

XD

Other incidents I particularly remember were yelling at Oldbag to shut up, shouting out "NO! SHUT UP! STOP F****G CONFESSING!" during 1:4 and swearing at Lotta quite a bit for being a liar.

I also remember saying OH GET A ROOM and rolling my eyes at Phoenix talking to Miles at the end of 2:4. Heh. This was before I'd played GS1 by the way.

Two things.

1. I pretty much voice over the characters whenever I get the chance. My favorite is alway Phoenix. I just use my normal voice when talk, shouting and such, while giveing him a rather high pitch whine when thing go wrong, and everytimes he sweats.

2. My little niece, who nearly two years old, sometimes watches me play the game, and would mimic the judge. It alway makes me laugh when she does that.

Every time I play case 3 of AA, when it gets to Oldbag's cross-examination, I, for some reason, always end up stroking the DS and saying "Oldbag is a very cross examination, yesss, preciouss."

I get... expressive... when playing. I yell at my DS, I celebrate, I probably make more sarcastic commentary than Phoenix does in-game XD When I get stumped I tend to ramble to my sister or friends to try and puzzle it out while tapping the side of my glasses or nibbling the end of my "uber stylus" (not the DS one, it's one of the bigger penlike styluses that works quite well for holding lightly with my teeth =p). Sometimes I almost-nibble my thumbnail instead.

Let's see... comments that have been spoken/shouted at my DS....

Spoiler: Some minor spoilers across the board
Case 1-2:
"Uh-oh... this does not bode well." When White called the police.
"Edgeworth isn't a sham. He's a dick." -... Okay, before I was a fangirl >_>

Case 1-3:
"... It's a tool to get people to inaccessible stuff. Does it matter if it's a ladder or a stepladder? Let's just call it 'Bob!'" - Ah, the ladder conversation.
"Ugh! I don't know which is worse, the little fanboy brat, or the stereotypical otaku!"

Case 1-4:
"... Von Karma, I know I hate you." - Should be obvious =p
"What's he got in-.... oh. He wouldn't, would he? In the precinct?!...................... Well, this case just got electrifying."
"Edgeworth! Stop being an emo and put the angst bunny away!" - Edgey's 'confession' for DL-6 did not go over well with the defense =p
"Ah, sweet victory, to the drumbeat of an asshole's head on the wall!" - :headbang:

Case 1-5... and pretty much every case after:
"You know, there's a row of tax code and accounting books in my office that mock me, too!"

Case 2-1:
"..... Wow, I just realized my phone is identical to Nick's. Damnit, mine doesn't do ringtones though!" - Guess who tried and failed to put the Steel Samurai ringtone on her phone.
"... Doesn't that hurt?" - Ah, Maggey's salute.

Case 2-2:
"... Dude, lady, get a thesaurus, would you?" - Tired of being called a foolish fool.
".... Okay, I felt that. Ow." - Poor Phoenix =p

Case 2-4:
"...... Wow, is he really that much of an airhead?" - First impressions of Matt.
".... Oh hell. No. Just NO. This situation is 31 fruity flavors of fucked up!" - Intro to the "real" Matt.
"

Case 3-1:
"PHOENIX, YOU DUMBASS!" ... Pretty much the entire first half of the trial.
"Mia, one question. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL THE FATASS TO SHUT UP ABOUT HIS MEDICAL CONDITION THE FIRST TIME HE MENTIONED IT?!" - .... Ugh.

Case 3-2:
"Luke Atmey. Ow. That pun hurts."
"RON, YOU DUMBASS!" .... Again, pretty much most of the trial.
"Hey wow, won the case in one day, and not a dead body in sii-ACK! What's the robo java junkie want............ Well damn, so much for the no dead bodies thing."

Case 3-3:
"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! MY EYES!" - I wanted to stab myself in the eye. With the stylus.

My friend and I did voice-overs together, too. (I like speaking in the satanic voice of von Karma.) But has ANYONE actually gotten "Hold it!" to work? That shit's HARD. Plus, there was this one time I saw a hilarious picture of Manfred with his taser... The caption said, "I'm chargin' up mah taser!" It became part of the household lexicon. We threaten each other with it all the time, and say it without fail when he's around in the game.

I really don't have any obscurities while actually PLAYING Phoenix Wright, except for maybe doing voice overs in my head.

But, in real life, I constantly try thinking of cases for either the Trials section, or just for fun. I do it with the strangest things. I can't really explain it.

One idea is about a break and enter. There's mud on the ground everywhere, because it was raining for a week before the murder. A glass sliding door was kick to get inside, and (obviously) the door shattered. But, there's no mud at all! *gasp*. So, how did the killer kick the door over (as testified by a reliable witness) without getting the shards muddied up? Even after the door's kicked over, the killer walked into the room, shoes clean.

The shards are directly in front of the door, so the theory that the killer broke the shards from inside the house while the door was open is a bust.

I could go on for hours about stuff like this. I'd better stop.

Case design is fun and tricky- My sis and I have drawn up some cases for a chat RP we've got going. We're still in the middle of our second case (the one I designed.) Turnabout Divorce was our one-day "intro" case involving psychologist Anna Litik allegedly killing her soon-to-be-ex husband Paolo over who would get the couple's shares in their corporate law business. It was eventually proven that it was in fact Herb Avore, the third partner in the firm that did it- partly because with Paolo dead and Anna taking the heat, HE would become sole owner of the company. Oh, and it was revenge on Paolo who had been unfaithful to Anna... with Herb's daughter Carine.

So far though, we've stalled on the case I wrote: Turnabout is Fair Play. Started out as an assault case due to Cainus Loupas's negligent driving that sent his car smashing into the front window of the Cool Subject clothing store, striking and injuring Faeri Slost, Vera Slost, and Ben Slost inside. Faeri later died in the hospital from her injuries, and when the trial left off it looked like Ben was the actual murderer, not Loupas.... But there's a stack of very unclear domestic violence calls from the Slost household...

.... Geez, Underload, you're not the only one that can babble at length about fan-cases! :edgy:
