Just thought I'd start this thread...compare PW/GS to different franchises! Characters, plots, whatever! I'll start with this FFVIII list I suddenly thought up:

Squall Leonhart = Miles Edgeworth (Angst, troubled childhood, abandonment issues, weird sister figures! AND FASHION!)
Rinoa Heartily = Phoenix Wright (*cough* I didn't know where else to put him cos...)
Seifer whatever-his-last-name-is = Godot (or any of the badass prosecutors. Although Godot's MUCH cooler than him. Plus, he's got that scar at the end of 3-5...)
Quistis Trepe = Mia Fey (the mentor who either crushes on her student [Quistis] or has a student who may or may not be crushing on her. And has a fan club.)
Selphie something... = Maya Fey (I LOVE TRAINS TV!)
Zell Dincht = Larry Butz (GAWD! Look at their BEGGING! Look at their NAMES! LOOK AT THEIR HAIR!)
Gumshoe = Biggs (._. Can't figure out who would be Wedge...)
Cid Kramer = Judge

That's about it. This was just done on the fly, and now I can't get the idea of Edgeworth in a furry collar + cravat and tight leather pants out of my head -____-

...oh wait, it just did when I thought of Phoenix in a dress and flitting about to the tune of Eyes on Me @_________@

Let me do an obvious one and compare PW to Trauma Center:

Derek Stiles = Phoenix Wright: Young for career choice, easy going, dedicated to job, main character.

Mary Fulton = Mia Fey: Female mentor who helps main character through very first part of game, then disappears (Mary gets transferred to a different hospital, Mia dies).

Angie Thompson = Maya Fey: Female sidekick who helps out main character for remainder of the game.

Tyler Chase = Miles Edgeworth: Went to school with main character, resurfaced some years later in the same career field as main character, hides dark angsty secret which is later uncovered by main character.

Yagami Light = Miles Edgeworth: Dark, "justice"-obsessed, sharp dresser

L = Phoenix Wright: Actual justice, rival/yaoi partner with Light/Edgey, black hair?

Ryuk = Manfred Von Karma: Scary, enables Light/Edgeworth to kill/prosecute

Watari = Mia Fey: Yeah, I'm stretching it.

And I have no clue who would be Misa. Just insert any female you ship with Edgeworth. (so Maya, Ema, Oldbag, etc.)
