I remember hearing about it when it came out. I didn't look into a whole lot, and despite all its great reviews I decided not to try it right away because it didn't look like a game that would appeal to me at first glance. A few months later, I heard someone I know tell somebody else that he had Phoenix Wright and that it was "really good", and somehow that got me to look into it again. I discovered that the game had become quite rare and high-on-demand, and I was impressed at all the great reviews it had on gamefaqs (there were none below 7 at the time if I remember correctly). I used Gamestop.com to track down the closest one to me. I called the Gamestop and had them hold it for me, and that night my dad and I drove down to get it. I've been a fan ever since.

I read about it in Nintendo Power. I like courtroom shows like Law & Order, so I thought I might like PW... And of course, I did. My mom likes it too!

I read about it first in Nintendo Power. My reaction was the common "A lawyer game? Well, I don't know..."
I put it on my Christmas list anyway, figuring that someone might buy it for me even if I wasn't sure.

I got it Christmas morning and played it for the first time that evening.
And... here I am, one rabid addiction later.
