So Phoenix has been stuck to Ryu for so long that they converged into one person...that's a perfect ending to my penguin dream series. Thanks Southern Grain.

Subby, c'mon. We don't need to worry about Rubia. She's probably off doing what Rubias do best. Driving in yaaards, chasing Wright around with a trollswatter...

Gotta attract customers with a friendly face, you know.

Oh, dude! I just realized you had another white room dream! So they discovered a secret bathroom...useful. And this Zuka person sounds very suspicious indeed...or maybe he himself could've been another victim. When will this madness end?

Opening it, it starts with: "Let me tell you something about a man called Zuka Zaruka Zura. He used to get bullied and left out (illustrated with a picture of a guy and some facebook comments, such as "Ugh, my colleague called me up after work today and talked about all those uncool work stuff"). Here at Dhaye, that never happens because we only have cool workrelated stuff to talk about. When Zuka isn't at work and something bad happens, like it starting raining, we have a saying: "Zuka would not appreciate this"."

That's an amazingly cool name. The best part is that his initials sound like znoring... and I'm keeping that typo.

Quote:
Apollo thought about a guy he used to know who was a little like that, and wonders if he too might have landed a high position in a place like this.

By "high", are we talking this guy as a part of the white room conspiracy, literally in the room above, or having been inspired by Apollo's past deeds?

Quote:
Next, scene changes to a bathroom with white walls. In the bathtub are some white mattresses, and Apollo is sitting on them. Turns out the room had a hidden bathroom.

It's a bed-bathroom all in one! :D That's efficiency!

Going for Miles wrote:

!!! Ohhh I hope this isn't a red herring! Love the name!

Heehee. Indeed. Would this Zuka Zaruka Zura be... "the man behind everything"...? *investigation-core music*

I thought that was settled last episode. Wasn't it the Chief of Detectives...

Wait a minute. We never knew his name, did we?

Quote:
By the way, one thing I noticed was that the booklet started out with "Let me tell you something about a man called Zuka Zaruka Zura. He used to be..." and in an earlier white room-dream Aura starts a story with "Let me tell you a little about this place. The streets used to be...", I just found it neat. Before hanging in this thread I wasn't even aware you could have ongoing "dream series" and now there has been so many of them in here, often with amazing continuity, even with small details. I think it's very interesting.

Perhaps your psyche is an aspiring screenwriter.

'sup. \o

As a matter of fact, I was dreaming about my quirky adventures with Nick again. This time, I think we were in a library, searching for books on a subject. We found a fairy tale picture book that spoke in riddles. One of them mentioned a "spring of longevity", another a "barren wasteland", and yet another an "oasis respite". I got the impression we were supposed to look for these places, but Phoenix reminded me that it was a fairy tale. (Why he gotta put me down all the time? You stink sometimes, Dad.) Apparently, that was not the book we were looking for anyhow.

As it turns out, we were actually looking up a book about a certain cave known for its glittery gemstones. I asked if we were actually scavenging for gems. He said no, that we were scavenging for clues.
"Why would we go to a cave to look for clues?"
"This case is weird, I know."

Sadly, I don't remember any more of it. I'm not even sure if it was a murder case or whatnot, but I was convinced we were investigating into some sort of crime.

Phoenix, Maya, Edgeworth, the Judge, and I were in the courtroom yet again, SoJ style, but it wasn't a trial this time. It was a lecture by Professor Wright about the importance of "thinking outside the box". The gallery was apparently filled with students.
"Always consider the alternative. 'He had a knife, but it was made of rubber!' 'She didn't use her phone to call because she didn't have it!' 'He couldn't play the banjo because a banana was stuck in its strings!'"
"But Mr. Wright," the judge asks, "What if some of the alternatives are just way too outlandish?"
"They may seem like that, but as long as the evidence supports it, go for it."
"Yet," Edgeworth continues, "you may run into the problem of jumping to conclusions even without proper evidence."
"That's only sparingly when the evidence hasn't been submitted yet, but my theories were still supported by testimony."
"Nick, what was that about banjos and bananas?"
"Er, that just came to me suddenly... but you never know if a monkey had messed with the crime scene!"
Edgeworth smirks. "I always knew you had monkeys on the brain, Wright."
The gallery gives a round of laughs as if it was a sitcom.
"...In conclusion, don't give in while there's still a sliver of hope in the vast pool of possibilities. You'll find new perspectives in the case... or in real life. Thank you."
The gallery bursts into applause and cheers, but without the confetti for some reason.
Now I announce: "That's Phoenix Wright on 'Outthink the Box'! Good night, everyone!" And the lights dim out, like it was on air.

...I may or may not have been influencing Subby with plenty of TED talks sometime.

Well, I just came up with the best punishment for Dad and his trains. I'll make him carry me on his back whenever he decides to drive anywhere. Trainpooling saves on the coal, helps reduce carbon emissions, and I even get a piggy-back ride to boot! Toot toot!

Hahaha! (At first this absent-minded creature that is me read it as if the punishment was that you were going to carry him on your back. Why my brain melts whenever I visit this thread I do not know.

Those walls are right bastards.

Oh, I like you, Phoenix, I really do. That was in-spi-ring.

"But Mr. Wright," the judge asks, "What if some of the alternatives are just way too outlandish?"

Even more so than the laadjical banjo-one.

I like this dream of yours...

Spoiler:
Probably. I seem to be hanging out a lot with Dad lately. I thought it was suspicious the way he took only me with him to these places, but maybe he was just looking out for me...

Or trying to avoid my trollswatter by getting close to me and lowering my guard. I have not used that thing in so looong! I'm getting swatter-antsy. I just killed a fly with it last night... Actually, it was a normal flyswatter irl, but point still stands.

Spoiler:
Aww.
Hm. There's always that, of course. Oh Rubia, always the swatter-happy.

I can just see him banging on the bartable like an angry child.

A banana? Clearly, it must be a baseball glove finger.

Of course it did.
