The same thing happened to me in Justice for All with Franziska. She looked like she was around Mia’s age, but then I heard her voice, and thought it sounded really young. Later, when Maya brought up Franziska’s age at the end of the second case, I was just like “… ohhhh! okaythatmakessense.”
Were you deceived by any of the PW characters’ appearances?

Franzy's age was told before she appeared, so I wasn't surprised. I thought it made sense for her to seem older than she was so it didn't bother me. I agree though that her voice should have had a sexy German accent xP

And, Juan Corrdia definitely doesn't look 21 years old. And, a lot of the characters look older than their age (i.e. Gumshoe) or younger than their age (IMO, they should have made Matt 23 years old. Then I would accept his existence as plausible).

... So what's my point with all these One Piece references? Looks are deceiving and you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. That's it.
A lot of GS characters have already fooled me into thinking that they're either younger or older based on their physical appearances and their personalities, actually. These include Mayoi, Isao, Chinami, and Minuki. :/

Yeah, Maya's character design does make her look very young (like the picture where she's holding her hands together), but Franzi looks a lot older. Maybe because Franziska acts older? Who knows.

I think the point was to emphasize how much pressure she was under from a young age from her father. Poor Franzy Dx
As for other characters...Juan looks too old and Matt looks too young. I expected Gumshoe to be a few years younger than he was. Lana definitely didn't look 29 to me o.0 Most of the ages are kind of iffy.

(I just simply a horrible weakness for Deutsch speaking lasses <3 It would've not only brought Franny's hotness higher (pfft like that's possible) but it would've also made her a bit more commanding)

My mum has her own DS, has played through AA and is playing through JFA just now. And she'll make me lend her T&T when it comes out... She's already bugging me to finish Hotel Dusk so she can play on it.
She also has a better phone than me, we share a Kokeshi Doll collection, and is making me buy another Wii so she can play on it.
My Dad has his own DS (my old one), goes on my Wii all the time, bought Heatseaker yesterday and owns me on Wii Sports. And he likes the Studio Chibli movies and gave me the money to buy the Naruto Unleashed DVD yesterday.
My family's kinda cool, but it's really annoying when they nick my games though.
Anyway, on topic. Yeah, Maya acts young for her age, but that's quite usual for Anime characters. I think what makes her seem so young in JFA is Franziska, who acts much older than her age, and so makes Maya seem young.

Also, if you watch the anime for 'Black Cat' look at Train Heartnet, he looks like a teenager but he's supposedly 23 (the only time h looks his age is in a fangirl dream by Kyoko)
