(EVIL MYTHOLOGY POWERZ OF DOOM!)

Did you know that Apollo, in retaliation for Zeus' killing of Aesculapius, killed the Cyclops, the makers of the thunderbolts Zeus used? Apollo entered the service of Admetus, as his caretaker of the flock. Admetus was so kind he made the cows bear twins. Then, when Admetus forgot to sacrifice to Artemis, the infuriated goddess sent snakes. Apollo advised Admetus to sacrifice to Artemis. Then, Apollo was responsible for finding a way to extend the life of Admetus. He told the Fates to save Admetus and they agreed, provided that someone die in his place. Alcestis, Admetus' wife, offered herself. When Hercules arrived there to visit, Admetus treated him cordially, even though they were in mourning. When Hercules discovered that Alcestis was dead, he went to her grave and fought Thanatos to give her back. Hercules restored her to her husband, and all went well. Hercules ventured on to fulfill the task of getting the Mares of Diomedes.
