I don't think so. It'd be kinda strange if they use the voices from this trailer since the person who do the voice-over for this trailer is not the same one doing the in-game "Igiari".

I couldn't say I can tell if the promo and ingame voices are the same Gymshoe

I'm 100% sure they're not the same. Phoenix' voice is obviously the same as in the TGS specials, while Odoroki and Kirihito's voices doesn't sound anything like their game couterpart.

Too bad...

Man, giving us voice overs in a commercial, when the actual game itself will not have much voice work... what a strip tease, Capcom. :(

Attention to anyone who pre-ordered the limited edition from YesAsia...

I just got an email saying that they got an extremely limited stock from capcom and they're raising the price from $104.99 to $139.99.... So you'll be required to reply to their email and give them confirmation that you still want to pay the new amount or have the order cancelled. Dr. Grey

I hope they don't end up screwing us over and saying that they won't be able to fulfill any US preorders. Zenitora

If I get it, and if nobody else is planning it, I'll be posting a detailed review of the special edition set with tons of pictures and screencaps. Let's just pray I actually do get it now... I could have used that extra $40.

Thanks for letting me know that... not had an email from YA about it yet though. I did pre-order afair either the day of or the day after the pre-orders opened. Not sure if I'll still get it of course!

On a related note, PlayAsia haven't even opened their list for the limited yet, so I wonder if they'll get any or not.

Well, at least my coupon was still in effect so I'll only be paying $134.99 now.

It looks highly unlikely that Play-Asia will open preorders now with the game being released in a week. I don't wanna imagine the greedy people who will charge an arm and a leg off ebay for this set in the next few months.

Someone on eBay had it listed for $299, and the LE set for the first one at $400. Go figure...

Look at the bright side, your order might be one of those limited supply they can get via normal importing, so you won't be charged extra.
Good luck on all of you who pre-ordered, I hope all of you can get it. Minuki

I also think that PlayAsia is not going to open for pre-orders on this one - based on the overall situation for importers, when a title gets too popular, suppliers in Japan tends to block exporting, stock them up and raise the price. Shops can not get any GS4 LE with regular price unless they are huge enough or have special ties with the company/distribution. Same thing goes for FF12 RW - DS Lite bundle. YesAsia might have gone to one of those suppliers in order to fill their pre-orders.

What probably will happen is after the release date, the LE will suddenly become available in 2-4 weeks - either the suppliers can't sell that many highly-priced copies and released the stock, or the game company decided to make a second print. Those LE will have a regular price. (fingers crossed)

I thought all the voices were dead on awesome. Will Powers

Odoroki must have been practicing his Igiari s a lot, since his voice is a lot huskier than I'd imagine. It fits him in an odd way though. It's energetic while not being hysterical (which I half expected from the demo).

Minuki, I like! She's genki, without being annoying about it. I always figured her to have an energetic, 'you can do it!' voice.

Kirihito...sounds very familiar. Very slick, very gentlemanly.

Kyouya....is it wrong for me to say I'm gay for him? He sounded just as slick, but in a cooler, more casual sense.

Phoenix...he had a lot more OOMPH to his IGIARI than in the trailers. Odd, that. Same voice as the TGS bits, right?

Akane...yeah, I did think it odd she sounded almost younger than Minuki. But I think in a way it fits. Though I was saddened they didn't use Maya's voice from the trailers again. Then again, I suppose the joke isn't there enough anymore to push it. Sal

No but we can hazard a guess that it's not bloody likely. The sheer amount of voicework needed would make many people shy from even attempting it.

If they really do it, they need to release a BGA catridge alone to accompany the game for Oldbag's voice Wendy Oldbag

Are there any fullly-voiced game on DS? I did not buy Luminous Arc or Tokidoki Memorial GS, they are voiced by famous seiyuu but I dunno to what degree. Atelier Lisette will have at least 60%-70% content voiced, and that will be released after GS4. (I did not get the chance to pre-order GS4, so I probably will be playing this one by then)

Currently some are rumoring that high-res images and voice-overs in the trailer suggest a possible migration to other consoles (Wii/PS2) in the future. Take this with 10 grains of salts, please.

You can't fit enough data to fully voice a GS game on a DS cartridge, or even a CD. It also was said that the voices aren't done by professional voice actors, and they said they wanted "more voice" than in the first three, which doesn't really sound like they're going from zero to everything. The demo didn't have a single line the first three games didn't have, and it's my best guess that the only voice that's "more" than before is the additional "soko da!".

It could also be possible that they're giving other, non-lawyer characters their own "igiari!" sound clips, which I don't believe they've done before. Aside from that, though, full voice overs are quite a benchmark to aim for on handhelds, and in most cases are somewhat close to impossible. Especially in a game like this, which is mostly text.

Resident Evil: Deadly Aim kept the full voices in tact, and they sounded incredibly crisp (and just as unproffesional as always). Although, I'm sure there's some difference I'm overlooking. In fact, there are other games that had full voice overs on the DS (or at least close to).

Post subject:  Re: GS4 Latest Infos

Capcom did release a second batch of the limited edition game. The first batch was 25,000, and that sold out so quickly that Capcom decided to release an additional 15,000 copies. Those - also sold out within minutes (hours if the store has more copies). I heard that Amazon JP didn't open up its preorders the same time Capcom did, so everyone rushed to Capcom to preorder and almost crashed its server. If you go on Yahoo JP Auction, they have a load of the limited edition, but they really did jack up the price. The cheapest one I've seen so far runs about 10,000 yen, the most expensive one was somewhere around 20,000 yen?

How many words, on average, does each Gyakuten game carry...? Probably close to half a million characters...? I honestly doubt it is possible to fit that much voice clips into the little cartridge. Not to mention they really souped up the graphics quality, added in more animation or whatnot - those would take up a tremendous amount of memory, it's really not possible to add complete voice over in... Lastly... Budget is probably a really big issue. Voice actors are very expensive, and with that many lines, you're looking at a pretty big budget there. (Voice actors are generally paid by line.)

Running it through google (under hydroxyacetanilide phosphonyl), it seems to have something to do with dying using enzyme. Note that those two terms are not actually back to back. Esterase is an enzyme that splits esters into acid and alcohol, according to wikipedia. At any rate, I have no idea what it actually means, especially since I can't understand Japanese. Sadshoe

Well, at least now we have proof that he'll be a more recurring character than just a write-off. I can't tell what kind of area he's in, though, just that Odoroki is about to present him his attorney's badge. I wonder how he feels being on the recieving end of that.... XD I can imagine it already.

EDIT: Oh, and that Odoroki wins his first case, of course, though that was a given.

I'd expect that you just save Naruhodou at first, and the secret why he left his job comes back in another case. Either that, or the first case is actually a full-blown case with investigation and several days of trials, which also be neat.

Resident Evil has like 50 lines of spoken text, so you can't really compare that. It also fit on a CD, which I'm sure a fully voiced GS wouldn't.

50 lines of spoken text? They spoke dialogue at every cutscene, and there were quite a few cutscenes. I don't even think you ever "read" a conversation.

Whatever the case, Gyakuten Saiban 4 is coming out next week, unless I read the date wrong. I didn't even notice that. 'Least I have the money to import it.

Famitsu
http://ranobe.com/up/src/up183171.jpg
