Then again, that whole wanting to shoot Meraktis to keep him quiet about revealing the truth of using Wocky to get his money, then framing him for murder and trying to get a shitty lawyer so he would be SURE to get convicted didn't make her look too good, either.

EDIT: Heh. In fact, I remember she being very surprised when Apollo said that he wanted to throw her to the river, so no one would believe her.

She was the one that drew a gun on Meraktis first, in the office, so I don't think that would work. Plus for a self defense plea to really apply, she would have to be in danger at the moment she shot him. If Wocky hadn't shown up, and Meraktis had reached into the cart to grab her (intending to throw her in the lake) then she would have a case.

If Meraktis HAD killed her, and her body was eventually found, HE could have probably pulled off a Self-Defence plea. (Though attempting to dispose of the body would work against him there, it's not an insurmountable problem.)

But, no, since the only reason her life was in danger is that he thought he'd killed her when she had attacked him and was disposing of the body, takes Self-Defence of the table for her.
