If I can persuade my mum to let me import GS4 is there a point. I know only how to say like 6 words in japanese... But the fanboy in me wants it... Is there REALLY any justifiable reason to get it? D:

If you can't understand it, there's really no reason to buy it. The game is quite text heavy, and the fun in playing it comes from understanding what's being said. Also, it's pretty expensive for a DS game, since it's an import, so it would just be better to wait until it's in a language you can understand at a price point that isn't so high.

Are you by any chance a collector? That's the only real reason, if you can't read Japanese, that I'd "recommend" buying GS4 for.

Even then, it's sort of pointless unless you keep it in a glass case or something, displayed alongside autographs and obscure pins.

Maybe you could use a google translator? I'm pretty sure Bolt Storm said he did. Only that the translation was kinda funny sometimes x3

If ever you import GS4, I suggest you don't use the google translators.

GS4 made absolutely no sense when I played it with Babel Fish. For one, the characters' names got incredibly screwed up, the most popular being Ese Doburoku's "Picture Shoal Earth Military Affairs Six", along with Makoto's "Picture Shoal Truth", Lamiroir's "Llama Lower", and Baran's "True Red Balloon". :/

Oftentimes the words get mixed up and some kanji doesn't get translated, so I'd say it'd be better if you just waited for the official localization of the game.

If you do know someone who speaks Japanese (or have the chance to get to know someone who does) you can give it a go with that person, but it requires the cooperation of that person, naturally. I'm glad I speak Chinese- a fan-translation effort is ongoing and already has the first 2 cases translated (which is pretty quick). I'm estimating the whole game will be done in Chinese by the time I get out of school (late June).
